Hi Erin I loved this ornament I have been making something similar using the paint couture products I got via your website they are reslly lovely products especially on Christmas projects thanks for sharing all the best Mary in Victoria 😊
Hi Erin, this is absolutely gorgeous! I love every step and detail you added! I also have had this paper and am so glad you shared such a lovely use of it, very inspiring!!~Wendy 🥰💞🥰
I have a bunch of glass baubles, flat ones as in this video and wood slices. My question concerns how far ahead of time can I apply the primer/bonding agent to the glass/wood prior to continuing the project. I'm asking this because I want prime and prepare the baubles, balls, and wood slices beforehand, set them aside until I'm ready to use the air drying clay and or rice paper decoupage. Could I put ONE coat on now and the 2nd coat on when I'm ready to continue/finish each project? Or can I put 2 coats on and set aside until I'm ready to work on the projects later? Thankewvery much!
Great question! You can do either of these. Applying the bonding primer a long while (months) before isnt an issue. It actually allows the primer to fully cure. As long as the item is kept clean after it is primed, it is good to go. You can also apply one coat now of primer and then a second coat when you are ready to start.
Hi Erin, I have had terrible luck with the Pentart fine line crackle but couldn’t get a real good feel for how the Paint Couture worked. I’ve used your affiliate link a couple of times but wanted your feedback on that product before investing in it. Also is it water based? I really don’t like having to use a solvent based varnish with the Pentart. Thank you!
Our Crackle is water based. It's a 2 part crackle and you can get different size cracks by how thick you put on the step 1. Put it on thicker and get larger cracks (it will also take longer to get tacky before you apply step 2 also). You wont to apply step 2 once step 1 is tacky (about 30mins to an hour, depending on weather conditions). After you apply step 2, you just wait and it will dry so you can apply our great glazes to really accentuate the cracks

Why isn't the glaze applied after painting the leaves? Doesn't beat the purpose of the glazing if you cover it?
Beautiful!
So glad you enjoyed it!
