It’s safe to say that 2020 hasn’t exactly been the best year for. . .well, for anything! While many of us are struggling to cope, some celebs can’t help but make things worse with their out of touch statements. Some fans called out Kendall Jenner for her now infamous Pepsi commercial, while others accused Ellen Degeneres of being too vague with her support. Bachelorette Hannah Brown was caught using unsavory language, and Lea Michelle’s bullying on the set of Glee was exposed very publicly. Harry Styles and Taylor Swift have been slammed for their silence on social issues, but it seems like they’re more active than ever now. Priyanka Chopra tried to get in on the clapping trend, but her hands couldn’t be heard from the walls of her mansion. Blake Lively admitted to her own ignorance and vowed to do better, while Evan Peters blamed his social media mixup on accidentally hitting the “retweet” button. Lana Del Rey credited herself to paving the way for other artists, but not all of them are grateful to say the least! Some folks like Karol G and Madonna had their hearts in the right place, but many felt the execution of their efforts were a little bit off.

It not that I think these celebrities don't want to help or support but I do believe they should show their support in any way they want and in their own time. Instead being attacked for not saying anything or for not being supportive enough by others standards.

The problem isn't these celebreties, the problem is people taking any celebrety more seriously than they are/should be. They're in the _entertainment_ business for a reason.
I don't know what that's supposed to mean but are you aware that some people in the "entertainment industry for a reason" also read and study and learn about culture and politics?! Some even go to Ivy League universities not because they paid to get in, but because they are actually smart and thus, maybe have intelligent opinions! I know, soooo surprising right?!

Lea Michele character in glee is supposed to be a self-centered person that doesn't like change to the environment around her as well as someone who wants all the attention on them all the time. For a cast member to say that us how she was towards her could just mean she was trying to stay in character on set and didn't want to be bothered and it came across the wrong way. Even though celebrities are famous and live in luxury doesn't mean they don't have struggles as well. Some celebrities say something meaningful to them that comes across the wrong way , put it this way if you at home and had a terrible day you wrecked you car and have to find the money to get a new one and you did something embarrassing and said some stupid things out of anger because of how bad your day was the general public wouldn't have that casted on TH-cam , gossip sites or , in gossip articles as a celebrity you are expected to keep a good face 24/7 not only for your fans but on watch out for paparazzi, everyone has there good days everyone has there down days.

I don’t use social media. I have an old FB account I check maybe 6 times a year and have friends mad at me for not posting a lengthy support post last week. Here I thought me actually participating in protests all week was showing my support but I was apparently wrong. People need to take a breath for just a minute before alienating those who genuinely love and support you. I’ve got to say, if I had become famous in my early 20s, I would’ve been cancelled by now because I wasn’t nearly as woke as I am now (I’m 36).
Honestly I think that people should watch what they say or do no matter if they are a celebrity or not. Celebrities are people, they just have a better job that pays better. With social media it seems that everyone now a days thinks that their opinion matters, which isn't necessarily the case. Case in point what I am saying right now, some will agree with me others won't, just how it is, and I don't really care who agrees and who doesn't. There are some celebrities I agree with and then there are some I don't but since I have never actually met them I am not dumb enough to go on social media and tell them what a horrible person they are, that is just acting like a bully. I just think to myself that they probably should not have done that but then remember there are things that I have done that I should not have either. Thankfully I am not in the public eye to where everything I do is seen. Always remember to try and put yourself in that person's shoes. How would you feel you were them during this situation.

Celebrities are all out of touch. When you can afford the amount of things they can afford you are never going to understand how reality is really like. They live in their perfect bubble where everyone loves them and they can do and buy anything and where they spend whole days in the gym and never have to do a tiring or restless and underpaid job in their life, so of course they are always all smiles and positivity and trying to sell you products they are paid to advertise. People should stop praising them so much cause at the end of the day they only care about money and their famous friends.

I think everyone has a right to speak on social issues, but I do think that Celebs should proofread and ask the public how they feel about what's going on, so they have a better understanding of issues they never have to face.
Notice how Hannah Brown shook her head from left to right when she said she “from the bottom of my heart, I’m so sorry”. Seems like she wasn’t sorry.
