    I really like it! I'm even thinking about removing all 3 doors and just have cool colored lighting down there. I think it looks just as good as the tank it's self. Nice job!

      Are you using a sulphur reactor, if so do you have some information on them, like setup, orp range, drip rate?

    • @redakumaproduction
      @redakumaproduction  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      of corse. and yes it is !! so, basicaly you need 3/4 sulfur and 1/4 of pored rock for the bacterie inside.. so
      how it work :
      Because of the sulfur, it creates inside a new form of bacterium which
      nourishes of sulfur AND of the air .. but inside the denitrator there
      is no air, only in the nitrates! Therefore:
      to survive these bacteria will use the nitrate and convert them into
      nitrite, and then into ammonia to obtain a maximum of oxygen. These bacteria creates on a long time scale: 1 to 6 months. It is long because it creates from nothing .. as they say in jurrasic park: life always finds a way !!
      For drops, at the beginning it is a drop per second for
      the first month, until a decay of nitrate and nitrite is obtained (the
      bacteria will rise in the denitrator and be able to assume a greater
      flow . The ammonia does not diminish but will not affect the aquarium and will not impact your parameter that much..maybe 1 ppm over 1 month.. when the nitrite (at the exit of the denitrator) will decay,
      it will be Time to increase the flow of the drop, like 2 drops second .. at the same
      time, in the aquarium the nitrates will go down .. repeat this process
      until obtaining the desirable parameters of nitrates .. noted that you Do
      not increase the flow rate of the drops as long as the nitrite does not
      decrease also .. the nitrite in the aquarium caused by the denitator
      during the process is too low to cause problems then not care about,
      nitrates In the aquarium will love them haha. It is a complicated to explain.
      if you need more information I will add you on facebook, I must admit that I
      had to use google translate for this text because there is too much
      technical word and I am french hihi, I hope that my answer is enought clear

      Thank you for that. it has helped me a lot, i am running a sulphur reactor as well mine has been up and running for almost a month, my redox get to minus 220mV, i test the reactors effluent and it always tests 0 nitrite and 0 nitrate as well as 0 phosphate, my tank tests 0 nitrite 5ppm nitrate and 0.08 phosphate. but when i increase the drip rate in the reactor, my redox value increase from minus 220mV to -100mV some times higher. The question i guess is, is that normal, will the redox value drop again? i have read that you should aim to run the reactor at minus 170 to 175mV.
      yes i would like it if you added me on Facebook Atla Seitshiro.
      Since i have been using the reactor i find that my tank is a lot clearer and that my nitrate does not rise that much over 5ppm but i want to get my nitrates down to 0.25ppm. and does a sulphur reactor reduce phosphate also? as the effluent reads 0.00ppm phosphate.
      I am using the Caribsea mix of sulphur and aragonite which i have topped up with sulphur beads. I can only hope i have enough sulphur to support enough bacteria for my tanks bio-load.

      Tom's Reef I have no room for a rodi system and no space for a storage to store the rodi and mix with salt ;( Also, I am a bit intimidated by all the parameters for keeping corals and potential crash

    Hey was up man how did you get the manifold secured to you cabinet.

    • @redakumaproduction
      @redakumaproduction  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      with this: www.aoudia-dz.com/accessoires-/343-collier-de-fixation-multicouche.html and because i will never sell it.. i will die before my tank lol i screwed it directly inside the cabinet, i did it clean, with the right tool. i did it slowly , i pre drill the hole juste to be sure before screwing it.. the screw are short enought but large so they are strong enought.. never had a leak, never had problem..

    does that sump have space for a refugium/chaeto?

    • @redakumaproduction
      @redakumaproduction  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Levi Me hum..im incertain about it..if you put the fresh water tank in the left corner you should have enought space To put one in the right corner (i saw few people do it)..or just convert thé fresh tank into it but youll need this fresh water tank anyway. .

    • @redakumaproduction
      @redakumaproduction  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      in the sump itself i think you can split it by gluing some acrylic glass, with all in there i take about 50 to 60% maximum of the total space,There is a lot of space between the equipments that i can get if i compact them!

    • @LeviChub
      @LeviChub 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      the preorder started today for the XXL reefers and they have a refugium divider so I am going with one of those. thanks for the replies :)
