Sonic dreams collection is such a strange parody it basically isn’t one in a way
It feels like a game made by some developers that want to make fun of a group of people that they are a part of. Half satire, half acceptance. One part "Yes, this is a part of our fandom, and we cannot deny that" and one part "hehe sonic oc's"

I remember this games, i have many nostalgic memories of me as a kid watching youtubers in spanish and english freaking out at the imagery. This became so nostalgic that it became a confortable memory to me, specially that Brazilian song that you hear in the distance in the eggman game, i even downloaded it so i could listen to it and take me back to that moment

Additionally, Sonic games have not been unanimously failing, you're all just buying into the toxic Sonic Cycle, and acting like the Sonic fandom is the only one that makes kink art, insane fanfics, etc. goes beyond repetitive and into pure naivety at this point.

Hey Peter, here's a slight correction at 1:29-1:32: The dev put malware in his game is not because to protect his OC's sprites since there are no OCs in the game, but rather he puts malware because he wanted to protect his sprites EDITS (which are sprites from the official Sonic games that he did not made nor owned and edit them).

I think to understand the sonic franchise and fandom, you have to just accept and sort of live with the fanbase being this way and you can poke at how silly it is but still appreciate sonic as a whole. Otherwise you come off as some elitist weirdo who is so uppity and refuses to accept the world is weird and strange.
I wish TH-cam was more like this with more amateurish gaming reviewer comedy type stuff with good editing and passion put into it.

Its just so weird. I made a whole video about it myself and playing the game is such a strange experience, even with the years of lets play videos i had watched before. Like, I had memorized all of the movie maker levels and still was surprised by it.

Sonic Adventure has no relation to Sonic X-treme. X-treme was made by an American team, and Sonic Adventure was made by Sonic Team. I think SA1 started development around the same time the X-treme at least would’ve been cancelled.
