    Ray is practicing TM meditation daily for many years. He is a student of Vedic traditions from India which has given him strength to remain so calm even in the face of adversity. Everyone should learn meditation.

    Would like to see a expanded conversation with Ray Dalio and Richard Wolff on a future economy where we grow from Capitalist society

    • @bigern3157
      @bigern3157 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      From a capitalist society?... as in away from a capitalist society? We've got nothing remotely close to capitalism. We resemble fascism way more closely than capitalism. Next to nothing in our economy could be held up to the standards of capitalistic doctrine. Almost everything we buy and sell... including money.... especially money... energy, housing, education, healthcare, food, commodities... everything.... is supplied and priced predominantly in context of government interventionism and fascistic subsidy to government selected entities. The complete dissolution of free market enterprise (which entirely disallows any entity... especially the government) to influence market pricing/value in the marketplace unilaterally is the opposite of capitalism... we've basically got nothing but that. We need to move into capitalism as a matter of necessity such that freedom, economic or otherwise, could at some point be realized. Example...crypto. Should that be adopted as currency absent entirely decentralized government control.... regulated only to the point that oligarchies are consistently dismantled... the beginning of a new era will become reality. Until then... we're slaves to the grind.

    Topic: advice for seniors who have some savings to supplement their social security income but not enough that they can afford risk, what financial advice? Thanks!

    • @tictac705
      @tictac705 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you think the US or other debt based nations reward savers- pay more attention. On the other hand, if the market crashes, you’ll have another golden opportunity to put your capital at risk. Miss it and you haven’t learned to overcome fears. If you just want safe- stay in savings accounts- they help, right?

    The most crucial question that one must ask in this time of rapid change in technology,and the uncertainty that it creates to division of labor of skilled and unskilled,and how it will be solved is in my opinion a challenge of grand importance. Technology is great as it is forcing everyone to be efficient where ever they choose to spend their time. However, if participant skill set is not as efficient as the algorithmic world we are entering into, it appears our comparative advantage over anything will be absolute. Thus, policy as to how to train the mass for the new world of changing technology is of the essence without disenfranchisng influx of people who are already productive and can thrive in the new technology if given the proper training. I say this because without a proper income earner work force, the only thing people will buy would be groceries,but not other wants that can be forgone easly and affect the overall market due to absence of multiplier effect from money earned.

    I think everyone always wants the country to get better and the government needs to lead a positive example and they do not. To much bickering going on and not working together to solve issues. Lead by example . They act bad and you see the country as a whole doing the same.

    It is REAL WORLD MONOPOLY GAME. When one player,(Elites) have all the money, they have to put some back in (Higher wages to workers). To keep the game from ending. The Elites are paying themselves way too much money. It behooves them to keep the game going.

    The System is fragmenting as part of a Cycle between Centralized to Distributed Operations.
    Brexit, Texit are an example of this in Government now.

  • @thomasmanning829
    @thomasmanning829 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Let's not call it "the Red Side" and "the Blue Side". Why not agree to have discussions; openly and loudly if it gets to that. Let's make the objective "the better argument", which is the entire debate and is eventually settled by compelling logic. That is what's lacking. Blue and Red might express gross generalizations at best. But guarantees chaos at worst. I'm 69. I have found that the problem described above is absolutely true. Anyone not willing to consider the assumptions of their arguments (the leftist media for example) are the people who continue to destroy our culture. Dialogue has no virtue with the closed-minded.

    • @somguy728
      @somguy728 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You started by saying dialogue is the answer and ended with dialogue is impossible. Ray's right about the polarization of views and the loathing between. This cannot end well and America is heading for civil war again.

    not a good use of Ray's time to ask him so much on Bitcoin

    • @samsun01
      @samsun01 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Bitcoin is based on the Western's flawed concept of "democracy", which is "power to the people". However, aside from the technical issues of Bitcoin (passcode stolen, fork the fucking Bitcoin), Bitcoin is this perversion that they just have to 'own' these coins and enjoy life while everyone else without the coins has to slave for it.
      Productivity is what's important, not these fucking bullshit coins, which is merely a "store of value".

    • @fixedoddsbetting
      @fixedoddsbetting 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bitcoin would have solved a lot of problems for me if I'd only bought some 10 years ago. Warm condolences to Mr Dalio. He has produced some excellent content and has help me have an epiphany of sorts regarding how many things work. Along with all the other great contributors to public discourse on TH-cam and elsewhere.

    Love Ray, but the idea moderates need a place in the system is missing the boat. Moderates (running the system) and do-nothing politics is what's given rise to extremes on both sides in the first place.

    Of course... but greed has driven everything into this situation, and it is not human greed. Inhuman greed. Of course this will conduct to a violent end. Lies are lies, and if the stack up they can cover truth for a long period of time, even generations. But... lies are not a good construction material. They are not as flexible as truth is. They will all fall apart. Sorry about your loss, but you well know that there is no loss possible.
    Kindest regards,
    M.
