Well it sure looks nice though!! I like the wheels! You pushed it really hard, they give you the cheaper parts servos and stuff but if your going to run it like you said your going to have to do some upgrades for sure.
Thanks Steve, Straight out of the box if you just wanted to use this as a trail rig, with scale accessories, really the only thing negative is the shocks and dig servo, slap some rubber bands on the shocks or lower them to link mount positions and you are good to go, and you probably will not use the dig function that often in trail rig, or scaler form. My 2nd run video gets released tonite at midnight this and the couple vids after is where I go hard on it out on the rocks. I push it pretty darn hard and aside from lots of rock snags on axles and front windshield, plus the lack of drag brake, the CJ-7 did really well, it just needs some unsprung weight up front, stock shocks can be tuned and re positioned, and I would be pretty happy even with the faults of the stock electronics.👍💯👍💯👍
Thank You all for viewing my video and dropping a comment, I really appreciate you all. Happy 2024 new years, may the year ahead bring you Happiness, success, channel growth, good health and wealth
Thank you for taking the time to view my video very much appreciated. Wishing you a happy 2024 year ahead filled with good fortune, happiness, good health, wealth and channel growth, with success in everything you do. 👍💯👍💯👍💯👍
Yes it is a really good looking out of the box crawler, just needs a few performance upgrades to keep it planted to the ground, thank you for the view, visit and comment. 👍💯👍💯👍💯👍
Thank you, for the visit and comment, it is a very good looking scx10, and is nice to see them coming out with a different body for the 10.3 platform Thank you for watching and commenting 👍💯👍💯👍💯👍
Thank you, I am very happy with the purchase, this rig can be taken different directions, all scale, scale/crawler, or hard crawling. Part 2 gets released tonite at midnite I get it out on the rocks and really start pushing it. Aside from axle snags, windshield snags and the lack of drag brake it did surprisingly well. 👍💯👍💯👍💯👍
Well your few changes seemed to make a big difference out there on the trails brother. Certainly looked a touch lower than it was and I agree I kind of like the lower look as well. It is a great looking rig. I would like to see how the stock tires do on that terrain. I think you might be surprised. The few videos I have seen on this thing, one of the big comments is the fact the stock tires are pretty good. Thanks again for sharing. Love the terrain as usual. :)
I will run them soon, I kinda feel bad that I did not run them, I know crawler canyon (Dr isotope) in the forums did a review run on them using his element he calls baseline I need to bounce over to his channel and check his opinion out on them, but yeah I have heard they are pretty decent for a stock tire. thank you for stopping in and dropping a comment. 👍💯👍💯👍💯👍
That was a great run and enjoy seeing other parts of the country via rc crawling.Aren’t we all alike I myself go back and forth on how im going to run my new crawler on its maiden run. Not sure if you know but just in case the all in esc in your jeep can be programmed with a hobbywing card if any you your rc buddies have one.I bought one through horizon. and now my early axial bronco had better drag brake and runs better overall.Great vid and enjoy your new jeep. 👍🏼
Thank you for the comment, Yes we are all alike in one way or another with our quirks and decision make process. I have several hobbywing and hobbywing spektrum program cards, I figured you could program it, I just did not get into it as I already have a full electronics replacements ready to be installed. My main question is, if someone was to change the motor over to a hobbywing fusion 2-in-1 motor, would they still be able to use the receiver in the spektrum 2-in-1 esc receiver that came with this 10.3, if not than they are forced to purchase a new radio to be able to run a fusion system or a castle system. Glad you enjoyed the video, my next vid with the CJ-7 gets released tomorrow and I go hard with it on the rock crawling, and for being mostly stock it did surprisingly well. 👍💯👍💯👍💯👍
@@jammer2150 The 2in1 will not work with the new fusion 2in1 you’re talking about. You can pick up a spektrum receiver though at your local hobby shop or Amazon especially if you want to continue to use the stock radio which is great I think.Im going to eventually do the fusion se in my early bronco as well but will need to purchase a spektrum receiver. Looking forward to your next vid. 👍🏼
@@Elisplushies360woodierc yeah I did not think it would work, all my crawlers have been upgraded to either the hobbywing fusion pro or the spektrum 2-in-1 Firma 2300kv, the CJ-7 has a spektrum firma 2300kv waiting for me to install it, my 10.3 jlu wrangler is rocking the fusion pro. and I run either the radiolink rc6gs or the flysky gt5 👍
Thank you Brother, I got vid 2 being released tonite at midnight where I get it out on the rocks, it does surprisingly well as I push it harder into the next few vids. 👍💯👍💯👍
Thank you, part 2 gets released tomorrow I get it out on the rocks and start pushing it a lot harder into the next few videos, it does pretty well and will only get better as stability gets upgraded. thanks for watching I will pop over to your channel, have not been their in a while 👍💯👍💯👍
Thank you for stopping bye and viewing my video plus dropping a comment, much appreciated, next video I get it out on the rocks and it is a pretty good video, much better than this video, I will release it in a couple days, really shows off its potential. 👍💯👍💯👍
Thank you, wish you were out their running yours with me, I got vid 2 being released tonite at midnight where I take it down to the rocks, video turned out really good, hope your arm is feeling better each day, we will get you out soon but for your protection I am going to order a MICHELIN MAN suit for you and rename it Mechelleman suit 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Just got my Cj7 over the weekend. Cant wait to get my mods done. Oh what part of WA are you in. I live in Sacramento CA but I grew up in Bellevue WA. Great content 👌 👏 👍
Thank you, I am currently living in Shelton wa, the area in the video is called lake cushman about a 40 min drive from my residence, my home town is renton wa but I have lived in bellingham, Everett, Mill creek, Kirkland, Tukwilla and Lake sawyer out in the maple valley, black diamond area. I really enjoy my cj-7 it actually does fairly well straight out of the box. Mine now has a bunch of weight down low, better steering servo and the hobbywing fusion 1800kv se motor, and controlling everything with the radiolink rc6gs. My brother just picked up a used one fully upgraded plus we also have the red version, so hoping to get a vid with all 3 running soon. I think you made a solid purchase, the only real downside in my opinion is if you do decide to upgrade to a brushless crawler motor you have to pull the 2-in-1 esc receiver package and replace with a radio of your choice, but that is the same with all the axial 10.3 rigs since Horizon has chosen to go with the receiver esc combo system in some of their vehicles. Have fun with it I know you will enjoy it. 👍💯👍💯👍💯
@jammer2150 OH man been all over WA lol. Yeah I already put the Fusion pro, perfect pass monster servo, 90mm desert lizards, lights and a bunch of stuff from Htech. Hopefully I'll some content soon. Just needed an Axial for Axial fest.
