I think Hecate's typically Calm and Composed mannerism helps play into this as well, as she rarely ever expresses any sort of emotion. the delivery of the lines there is amazing.
Her loyalty to Persephone and her grief and guilt over being forced to flee while the Underworld fell to Chronos is what causes her to hold Melinoe at arms length. She is her teacher, not her mother, but neither one can deny that the line between those two relationships has become more blurred over time.
And i sense this might be yet another reason why Circe hangs out on her isle much of the time... She even goes for "consorting" as a verb of choice. Of be Od💕😅
1:06:09 This conversation is absolutely BRUTAL. It's so well written and acted and it exposes the guilt in Hecate very well. I love it.
I love old women angst
i cried when she said this, i dont understand how melinoe didnt just run to her bedroom and folds (because i would have did)

I'm just perpetually obsessed with her voice
amelia tyler is a force of nature. she's also the voice of the narrator in baldur's gate and i love her.
@@Bluey306Nyrissa sure does have this effect... Wenduag too, I suppose, to a degree😅
She is the narrator of baldurs gate, we have all had hundreds of hours to salavate over the voicelines
Perfect casting. Im playing BG3 right now. Love the voice. Im burned out on the "usual" VAs. Hades 1 had a very memorable and unique voice cast.
hecate is not exactly the ideal teacher due to her partiality and harshness towards nemesis
Have you seen how nemesis and eris act? I wouldn't want to be their teacher either
why do I sense a hidden romance between od and Hecate
