6:50 my teacher kept telling me I was a mezzo soprano when I was actually counter tenor. she forced me to sing to high and I ripped my vocal chords, making me a full tenor now. If you're teacher tells you to sing higher than what you're voice is COMFORTABEL at, please let them know it actually hurts to avoid making the mistake I did of not telling her.

I feel like "being an alto" is like "being a cashier"... you're only that thing, when you're in a choir singing that particular role. Aside from that, you just have a vocal range. When joining a group, you are given the role that your range fits best, so you can contribute to the whole with the best of your ability.

I love hearing you break down how the sound is achieved :) You always awaken the urge in me to practice improving though insecurities always get in the way of any steps being made - still love the inspiration!
