Thanks for your contents Mr. Peachy, I moved to the other side of the planet and the loneliness is something but whenever I see your videos I feel at home somehow! Please never stop, you’re making the difference for many people! 🤗
A single box of this gives you all the cards and stuff needed to play plus STLs and seems to be alot in each :-) is Cheaper than one single digital only Trench Crusade STLs. Yeah better value for sure and the minis can be used for anything, be it other games or to look cool.
I can’t remember where I first heard it but basecoat black with an all over gray drybrush is fantastic. The black base helps convey as shadowed any bits you ultimately miss painting, and the gray highlight makes all the little details pop so it is easy to noticed everything to then plan what colors each should be.
Highly informative video Peachy. Game looks interesting and your painting really brings them to life. Particularly liked the Disciple (evil Peach)! The pose is really strong and that contrasts really well with the sickly skin tones you chose. Hope the Peach household is now at full health again. ❤🍑
Pretty much all back to fighting strength, just annoyed I lost a ton of time last week. But in my fever dreams I had some interesting ideas for down the line 🤣🤣🤣
I have to say, I like the way you do your TH-cam channel. There seems to be two ways of talking about the hobby. One set is into the actual hobby and the other into GW bashing. I’m glad you’re the former the hobbies is supposed to be a positive not a negative and the we needs more positivity. I’m currently working on some imperial home guard using bits from different companies to make World War II Tommy’s in 40K .
It'll be interesting to see how the use of printers plays out. Love the idea of people designing and sculpting their own stuff even if I'm too freaking Lazy to do it myself!
Awesome vid as always. I love the paint jobs. They really pay homage to John Blanche's style. I love Blanchitsu and Weathered/Grimdark paint schemes. I would love to see more of you painting in this style, your really good at it. Thanks for the vid Peachy.
It’s a bold move to release a game that heavily relies on 3D printing, hope they’re not too early and it works out for them. Glad they included the cardboard stands like classic BattleTech and other games. Wish I could have a 3D printer but my life doesn’t suit it right now, would love to pick this up in the future. Regardless it was another lovely hour listening to Peachy in this video!
Yeah I agree with the move, bold for sure, and I hope it works in their favour as they have an amazing array of miniatures and terrain. Someone’s got to start the trend I guess. But yeah we all need cheaper non toxic printers first though
Absolutely, you don't need the models to play the game! I believe it's also possible to use other minis as substitutes if you don't have access to a printer (they obviously just won't match the artwork on the cards) 😊 Luv Mrs Peach 🍑
@peachy, congrats on the army builder factory job! I keep seeing content creators do a 'my favourite paints' videos, wondering if you'd consider it even if army painter ones. I seem to remember tundra taupe being used a fair amount. I'll probably end up buying them against my best judgement so hopefully you'd get a kickback 😂
Peachy, l to am new to the dark arts of 3d printing and so am having a few failed prints (user error every one), however l now look on them as a kitbash opportunity. Not only am learning how to print properly - thanks for the warm up the plate so the models come away more easily- but l am also making some more unique kitbashed models. Win win in my eyes. Damn, your video didnt show up in my feed. Doing here my part by leaving a comment. And peachy... you better put more MESBG models into your channel! :)
Great content as always Peach! As I start my annual re-read/listen of the gaunts ghosts series, had me thinking that I'd probably only be tempted to start a guard army if I could somehow make a Tanith regiment. Any ideas on best way to do this, either kitbashes or 3d printed minis. Thanks as always.
Well I’m pretty certain there’s a few Tanith related stls at my mini factory which I believe do physical prints too. Failing that masking tape for cloaks works super well.
@PeachyTips thanks Peachy! Forgot about your masking tape tips too. Think it's a distant hobby dream to make something from necropolis. Tanith infantry and some narmenian tanks
The ‘John Blanche’ model really feels very Blanchian in a way I’ve not seen many people use them - absolutely fantastic. Not so keen on £60 for a box of cardboard though
I actually love this idea, but i do have a 3d printer but it means I can print several sets to try different paint sets and styles without having to repeatedly buy figures. However, at the same time also having all the physical and extras i think its a great way for companies to ship internationally on a budget or just smaller companies/teams being able to spend more time and money on how the game plays and art itself + easy access to dlc figures if I can just download them. great video gave me a lot to think about
It is an interesting idea, and something I am keen to see develop. I know a few folks in the comments aren’t best pleased at the price and lack of minis, but then I’ve seen board games with similar card content cost more. Thanks for commenting Peachy 😍👍
@ fabulous, I’ve seen this appear and thought ‘ooooh exciting’ but I of course it’s aimed at a particular style and that’s not mine per se. I can see a use for elements of it though and was curious how, particularly if you tend not to be immersed in the grime of grimdark.
Interesting stuff. Just saw a vid about this game from Alex at 52 Miniatures as well. Looks like it could be a lot of fun. How easy do you think it would be to rescale the STLs to print them up at a more "conventional" scale? Just thinking about the models being more usable in other games
@@PeachyTips I guess that makes sense. If the fine detail is worked out for the slightly larger scale. Probably easier to scale up that down. One day I'll catch up and get into all that new fangled printing malarkey! :D
Hey Peachy, just say your video. You said that you really enjoyed printing these models. I've had the same experience with miniatures from Fleshcraft studio (on MMF). These have been presupported by Tableflip Foundry and are really amazing to print (plus I really like the designs, that doesn't hurt either 😉). Just a tip for really printable minis.
I'm seeing several comments under this video about the cost, and 3d printing. The price seems excessive for 60pounds if you don't ever plan on using the STL's, it's $118AUD at direct conversion (or much more at GW conversion rates), plus possible expensive shipping from Britain. The comments about not wanting, or not having access to a 3d printer are valid, but if the game is popular enough in your area you will probably run into someone who has a 3d printer and is wiling to print your models, you would probably have to buy them some resin to use, depending on how well you know them. I'm seeing a lot of variability in STL's for these wargame releases, something like Kindred of the Abyss (that doesn't yet have a game attached, but can be used in other games) is very reasonably priced, I would say it's even too low priced for what you get. Where as Trench Crusade is overpriced for what you get, $48AUD for starter models, plus $70AUD (for the cheapest) for the reinforcements, and almost all the STL's are effectively monopose print once models. All up it seems like the market doesn't know how to value STL's.
Phew! 😅 Tbf the voice over for the painting stuff isn’t the best, not sure why that came out a bit different. But thank you for the customer experience update 🙏
Hello Peachy another good informative video on an alternative gaming system!! thank you for the all the effort and hard work to bring this content to the community!! In light of some comments further down, could you list some alternative brands that could be used as “proxy’s” to play this game??? For those people watching who do not have a 3D printer but would like to use miniatures instead of the cardboard cut outs!! Much appreciated ❤
Well I believe My Mini Factory have an amazing range of physical 3D prints that you can purchase as well as We Print Miniatures, but just by looking at the cards on the website, there’s a tone of stuff that would work well with GW kits, especially using Cities of Sigmar stuff for the Shattered Throne, and Soulblight minis for The Fallen Legion
I’m currently using a elegoo Mars 4 ultra. I did a video on that a short time back, but other than my errors it’s a really good entry level printer Video link th-cam.com/video/3QGG3dam2aI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=9JbhBhTHW2jhYdN0
I dont know why people are upset at the price. This price is a normal price just about for any precon deck in big tcg’s. Hell they are cheaper than some commander decks. Plus you get codes to stl files for both terrain and figures. This is insanely cheap for what it offers (also you could just use the standees if you dont care about 3d printing at all)
I’m certainly interested, but I do wonder if they would have more luck by pricing the base game with cards and standees independently of the STLs. Assuming I heard it right, it was 60gpb per faction box, which is a bit higher than something like the Arkham horror LCG but only “half a game”. The cost of a good set of STLs can easily be half that cost, maybe a bit less, so having say a two faction box without STLs for 60, or even a complete box for 120, is getting to pretty decent value, then have the STLs as add ons. However STLs are Loots core business (and I can attest they are good at it) so I see why they did it, but think it might price them out of a market.
Agreed, loot are good but always have been expensive - this is no different, 60 per faction is too high and they will lose sales from it, but who knows with the KS maybe they will do something, but unless 100 all in then, sadly, I'll be passing on this . What folk need to remember is that they're doing the model printing work for Loot, granted you can print as many as you like, but still.
As our sales campaign is finally about to begin, we would like to share that we’ve listened to the community’s feedbacks and adjusted our offers, reaching a price point that we believe is both fair and appealing to all kinds of players by removing the foil packs and other non-essential elements for this first release and are focusing 100% on the game and its gameplay.
So i like the idea and the minis look amazing. But i think its going to be a hard sell for a lot of people. Its not the kind of game that someone just coming across it on the shelf is going to buy at that price. I assume its a decent number of STLs you get so its a good price overall, but even my kneejerk reaction was that its a bit too pricey. Maybe a better move would have been to make the box way cheaper and then offer the STLs at an additional cost afterwards. You can have a go with the cardboard and then if its a good game, pick up the files. That might be an easier sell. I'd love to see a game like this pick up but sadly i don't think this is the way to do it if you want it on shelves in stores.
I'd hate to think anyone would feel divided in the hobby because they don't have access to a 3D printer-the game featured in the video can be played straight away using the 2D minis included in the box and I'm pretty sure you can use proxy models if you want to 😊 Luv Mrs Peach 🍑
You can always use a 3d printing service and pay more money for the minis if you want. The nice thing about 3d printing is that it doesn't have the grey plastic tax (product markup).
Are we going to get to the point where "buying a game" means you don't get anything physical? It would have been good if they could have provided some starter minis in the boxes (a handful of key characters) and included the STLs for the rest of the faction to print at home. I can even understand them maybe doing downloadable "DLC" for future minis - but at least give the players some minis to start with.
Hi Fred I believe the set comes with 2D models so you can play the game from the off and if you don't have access to a printer you could use other minis you may have, as substitutes in the game 😀 Luv Mrs Peach 🍑

They’re just giving people other ways to make games, some people like to look at 3d printing like a hobby. Same as some people like to paint their own minis, even though there’s companies out there selling pre-painted figures. Do you also object to painting tutorials because you have to do work yourself, and spray cans contain dangerous solvents? Edit: sorry, that was meaner than I meant it to be. It’s just that Peachy’s community tends to be pretty wholesome and friendly and open to expanding the wargaming world. This comment was so sarcastic and mean spirited, it felt quite out of place here.
I appreciate you commenting, and really appreciate the reflection in your own content too, I expected a few comments about the price, but that’s fine, I see the positives in the box set, but also appreciate why folks would see it as a bit overpriced for the physical contents too
@@PeachyTips ya know, I almost deleted the comment because even after the edit, it felt unnecessarily antagonistic. Either way, thanks for doing all you do, I love the channel and all your work

I have to say I hate 40mm, why I skipped scatterpoint (just seems and reason to rip people off) , but I guess can just scale down … hopefully supports scale
Just some schoolboy humor …
TH-cam in the short description of the timestamp has the second model “Disciple of Anus…” 😂
Are we not all, on some level, a Disciple of Anus? I sphinct that's correct?
🤣🤣🤣 their the worst kinds of disciples, they get all the shit jobs
@@PeachyTipsHa!!! Did you print at 32mm or 40mm?
Peachy come on mate it's quite straight forward, you pronounce it ÇhBæhịǥ‘üðjïŋǝ ...
Aha! Amazing that’s really cleared that up 🤣😂
If the Disciple isn’t your cosplay at this years PeachyCon I’m unsubscribing.
I'll see what I can do Sophia 😆
Luv Mrs Peach 🍑
Not going to be 3D printing. Cheers.
😍👍
60 quid for an empty box and you have to have a machine with carcinogens in your house to print them? OK THIS IS EPIC.
60 quid for a completely card boardgame is pretty standard
Either way, thanks for doing all you do, I love the channel and all your work
You could use your brain and imagination and create or kit bash your own miniatures instead!!
Maybe thats too much effort for you!!
Easier to sit and type sarcastic rude unwarranted comments instead!!
He is reviewing alternative games with interesting, fun game play for people to play!!
If you have nothing constructive to say do the world a favour and keep quiet.
Good effort Peachy again another good informative video and painting tutorial!! ❤
