@@SuperAero Hey Ryan!! Sounds better than a hamburger fight LOL If you guys could cross the pond, I could provide real cheese, not like that squeezy sticky stuff ;-)

I love this series. Last year i did a two day 12 hr roundtrip from switzerland to mallorca on the mediterranean see basically to go for a 5 minute swim before sunset, i flew to the netherlands to have dinner with a guy that flies the same airplane and i flew to denmark to pick up my wife and kids from the airport after they flew the same distance in an airliner which would have had a seat for me too... let's face it.. a lot of GA hobby pilots trips are very pointless if you don't count the excitement we get out of just being able to do such things as a valid point ;) so i hope you can enjoy those long trips just as much as i do and i hope i can be a passenger on a commercial flight piloted by you one day.
Food for thought look into flying cargo. I used to fly a crj for a regional airline based out of Newark and I live in Florida so between the commuting and the schedule it sucked. So found a new job I got hired based in my hometown flying a 767 and have two weeks on but I’m almost home every night and then two weeks off. But you do turn into a vampire since most flight are red eyes so your day will start around midnight and will be done when everyone else in the world is waking up. It’s all about finding what kind of quality of life works for you, good luck with your endeavors
Hey Bryan, I'm a Gaston's regular. Wanta go fer lunch? Or even add a couple more hours round trip and go to Sikeston to Lambert's, "Home of the Throwed Rolls!"
@@JustPlaneSilly Look forward to seeing it. I tell all my newly minted IFR pilots, formerly students, to file everywhere they go. That builds the confidence when you deal with the hard IFR...Good times Bryan!
If you haven't already, Wisconsin Cheese Curds from Culver's. Also, if you like fried fish, the cod dinner at Culver's is great. Just my opinion. Thanks for another great video.
You totally need to come back for the cheese days festival in Monroe, it’s not far from Monticello. Just so there’s a sense of accomplishment plus enjoying some squeaky cheese
I learned to fly at Timmy airport and worked at UNU for 4 years while going to college in Oshkosh. Small world. Also, your unemployed friend on a Tuesday: “I flew 1,700 miles for cheese and got stuck.”
I’m trying to build hours as fast as possible too. I thought I was too old to actually get paid to fly but I’m finding out that it is very possible even at 49
From the video title. You won’t get stuck with cheese if you incorporate more fiber in your diet. Maybe granola and some exercise and that cheese will be unstuck in no time.
IF they're really fresh, they'll squeak. The Ellsworth ones you're eating are not really fresh and I always thought they were really salty as well. You needed to get the ones that look like they were wrapped in saran by a third grader in the fresh case at the ole Kwik Trip.
I saw the bag and immediately yelled out loud, “Those are from Kwik Trip!” Did the Watertown lady welcome you and read back the entire ASOS that you already had on the busiest freq in the area?
That sticky fake cheese stuff looks really disgusting! Fly to me to the other side of the globe! You'll gain all the needed hours almost faster than cleaning the clouds from your wings. It will be life changing as I'll get you a big chunk of real cheese and stroopwafels!!!!!!
Can you post how many flight hours you have logged on your videos. Rooting for you to make it to the 1500 hours soon. I read that United Airlines has or is starting a program to take a Zero hour person all the way to first officer. Would that be something you would be interested in doing??
What's the game plan at 1500 Bryan? Regionals? Corporate? Going to the big show? Regardless, hopefully you're talking with Christy Wong for some input. As for Dan Millican, keep your distance. He's a moron.
Imagine an airline later on going "Oh ... we've seen you do these irresponsibly long solo flights, exceeding sensible per day flying hours without proper breaks by a huge margin. I don't think you are right for us" ... 😱
The alternative is all these kids just beating up the pattern for 1,500 hours. Airliners primarily focus on long cross-country flights. But we'll see. Maybe you're right.
@@Jigsaw407 Seems like this was the opposite of get-there-itis. He saw the weather system and stayed clear with plans to get closer as conditions allowed but more than willing to sit on the ground and wait it out. He got within one hop of the goal and said "no further, that's not safe".
@@MichaelOnines Of course. I was referring to the very long flights to get to the required 1,500 hours faster. Shorter flights might be the safer route to get there than spending 13 or so hours in the cockpit without a co-pilot.
I think Bryan has great personality. Fun, yet when he has to be, I’m sure is very serious and professional. After all his channel is justplanesilly. Give the guy a little encouragement.
Are you a pilot? Have you followed his channel long enough to know why he is doing these flights? Or are you just spouting off in the comment section being negative?
Oh, I get the irony. I don't have a job but I have been a software engineer for 25 years and I save about 20% of whatever I make. So between my wife's job, my savings, and TH-cam, I can afford the fuel for the hundred hours that I'm lacking. There's a good chance I'll have to sell the plane afterwards but hopefully not.
So close! Cheese for you anytime my friend! Maybe I’ll bring you some on my own long long cross country!
I like your comment, though we have real cheese here on the other side of the globe ;-)

Loving this journey to 1500
Loved the video. Dont stop.
Keep racking ‘em up Brian. Routing for you from the UK 👍
Looks like fun! And naturally, you ran into one of our Midwestern storms. 😄 You just need a slower plane so you can build more hours on each trip!
Maybe a tiny little Grumman.
No such thing as a pointless flight. My reasons to fly: Family, friends, food, fun, freedom.
Wish I knew you were coming. We keep our plane at Watertown. Great people run that airport!
Thanks for putting a date stamp in your video - it sure helps put things into context
If need more hours fly on back up to Gaston's and we will have a room on river for you and some scenic flights around area in the 6/260.

Next time you're in the mood for cheese, you should head out to Tillamook, Oregon (KTMK). See the old blimp hangar while you're there.

Good luck on the time-building! Though honestly, I'm afraid if you get to the airlines you won't get to keep making these videos. I'll miss it!

The great thing about editing these videos is you can log the flight twice. Once in the seat and once in the "simulator" of your editing rig!
