- We took off early in the morning and headed to the Wandare Gate of Aberdares National Park.. once we entered that gate, we wanted to drive to the car park point. The terrain was absolutely incredible! The videos do not do it justice so definitely plan a trip there to see for yourselves!
We had a great, adventurous day.

Not unless you had some stopovers like in Kingongo, the shortest route from Chaka was the Nyaribo to Mweiga direct. But yeah I know you know, probably for the tour👍
Yes we did actually take the shorter route on the way home.. the first route we took was so scenic so I’m glad we went that way ☺️

@@Mekenzeinkenya a river would make sense because the bamboo was tall and there was such a long area of it on both sides...beautiful drive...
The mountain is one of Kenyas major water towers. Without aberdare Mt. half the population in Kenya will have no drinking water. It also serves purposes for irrigation and feeds major rivers for electricity generation.
Another fan fact about bamboos is that they grow straight. Even if you put an obstacle on it's way, it will grow right through it....
I need not say how that fact was used by the mafia
I did the Mt satima hike twice, that place is amazing

Next time, give the road just before Brookside where you had lunch a try. You just exit after Dedan Kimathi University main gate. Reduces distance covered significantly. For scenic views, you were on the right road. Thoroughly enjoyed the vlog.

When you do, please make a point of visiting lake olbolosat and also go through ndunyu njeru to visit the various waterfalls.
