Elesa still the best tho. The only reason why we easily get pass through her is because of the multitude of Ground-type pokemon just outside the nimbasa.
@@GALERI_GPIB and even there, I've had a Sandile one-shotted by her Emolga's Aerial Ace. And in hard mode in the sequels she has a Joltik with Energy Ball to deal with ground types!
Then pokemon x and y came out and felt like the rehashed same old music theme again... why don't they personalise the gym leader matches like this anymore? this was brilliant
I think it's just when they're working with sequels or remakes, they tend to get more creative or gimmicky and then move on which is a shame since if they kept up the stylized gym music in X and Y, could you imagine what Clemont's would be given that it's a game show inside the Eiffel tower.
The beat itself is fine, but as a soundtrack it gets repetitive to me. I prefer the third with the vocals because it's easier to listen to for a length of time.
(Long rant coming, just warning you) If people would just look past the pokemon designs (which really aren't even bad in my personal opinion) they'd see that gen 5 is at least in the top 3 pokemon generations, especially in terms of the character work. Through Gens 1-3, the gym leaders all felt very bland and basic, just strong trainers looking for fights. Gen 4 did some character work, but Gen 5 was when they really started cementing the gym leaders as more than just trainers. Each gym leader is either a celebrity or a leader of sorts in their town. The way they act, I'm 90% Clay and Dreyden are practically the mayors of their respective cities, Lenora runs a museum/library which is important for her city. Burgh is a famous artist, Roxie is a rockstar, and Elesa is a famous model. Beyond the gym leaders, the main story actually makes a lot of sense, and the bad guys actually have believable goals that you can almost sympathize with, especially N, he's just a guy who really loves and cares about Pokemon but he's manipulated by Ghetsis to use his powers for his own gain. Even the rivals actually have character, which was kind of a first. Blue and Silver were both just assholes who wanted to be strong, Brendan/May was kind of just there, didn't do anything, and Barry was just ADHD incarnent. Cheren was kind of also dull because he also fell into the category of "I just wanna be strong" but Bianca is shown as a strong young woman going out into the world and proving not only to herself but everybody who thought she was too weak. People talk about feeling bad for beating Hop, I always felt bad when I beat Bianca because she's really trying her best. Can't forget Hugh, you wanna talk about character, this kid watched helplessly as Team Plasma stole his little sister's Pokemon and now he's dedicated his journey to becoming strong enough to not only rescue her Pokémon, but also make sure something like that never happened to anyone ever again. Genuinely never understood why people want to hate Gen 5, sure its got flaws, but every pokemon game does. In my opinion, Gen 5 was the first Pokemon game where you felt like you were actually exploring the world instead of just playing a game. Everything felt more personal and exciting, and wasn't super over the top (looking at you Cyrus, seriously, destroying the whole universe?!). Also, the music is damn incredible, can't forget that TL;DR: Gen 5 is top tier and I will scream that from the mountain tops until I die
I 100% agree with you, this comment is golden and deserves a lot more likes. Gen V is full of effort and it's a shame since gen VI was such a de-evolution of the previous games
Elesa is an ICON we stan fashion itself in both the Pokémon world and our own. If I had to describe our electric boogaloo goddess in one sentence it’d be “Talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, showstopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before, unafraid to reference or not reference, put it in a blender, shit on it, vomit on it, eat it, give birth to it.”
Will always be my favorite gym leader purely for the fact that i felt like pokemon just used me as a model for her lol I am a model with the same hair style and zebstrika is my favorite pokemon. so weird.
Gen five Is the best generation period. However it would have been even better if they added the feature of gen 4 where your Pokemons could follow you then the game would truly be flawless. Also no one talks enough about how this was the first game where you could have more than 1 masterball hell even infinite

I started playing pokemon on the Platimun game, so Sinnoh region and im a real fan to that region, the songs of the routes and cities are really good and memorable, but the music and sounds design of the Black2 and White2 games is nothings less than marvelous. I mean we have Roxxie signing P-O-K-E-MON, POKEMON on her stage, Nimbasa city, Driftveil city, Elesa's gym and theme which i consider one of the best gyms on all pokemon games...it's so so good, when you fight on the trains the music changes so train whistles are kinda blended onto the regular battle theme and modief to make it more unique to that zone in specific, i can go for hours. Man i love pokemon music and sound desing. God bless the souls who did them.
My favorite gym leader from each region is: #1.Misty,#2.Clair, #3.Flannery,#4.Candice, #5.Elesa,#6.Korrina,and for the alola region there aren't gym leaders so my favorite trial leader is Mallow.😀😁
Gen V was the pinnacle of memorable gym leaders.
Gym leaders? Idk. Gyms? Hell yes
Dustin Proffitt I seriously can't name a memorable gym leader past Gen 5, except for like Clemont and Korrina.

That feel when you played The World Ends with You before Pokemon B&W and you recognize the voice samples...
It's weird because they can be heard in other games too.
