Against shield users you really gotta use the light slash rather than charged! Its harder to parry, easier to fake out with cancel, and the lunge keeps you closer due to no charge up animation. *edit, additionally chase down with with melee cancel if they flee in ab after acs punish
thx for the tip! but, at the moment i was thinking of building the shield's heat faster with charged blade impact, and im trying to melee cancel by ab, seems it's tighter at gap closing, and i can turn it into a direct kick
@@vulnerablerummy you wont be able to overheat the ps shield before losing the match (it has near max deploy heat, and cooling stat and frankly needs a nerf lol its too easy to parry with that it beats out the PB parry shield for parrying specifically because of the heat deploy stat.) but you dont need much impact to stagger lws. A single lighslash plus two zimmerman hits will do it, and even parrying one or two will still leave them in danger for the next slash staggering them, and these attack types are MUCH more likely to land as they keep you close and are much harder to parry. Just from experience playing against top 100's i would inevitably find they were too skilled to fall for the charged attack with any reliability.
on your 2nd advice, i don't quite get it, wouldn't the pulse blade be under cooldown after punish..? also, i missed the light slash about 50% of the time in the past, either because i failed to time the tighter cancel or the enemy did some kind of 180 maneuver.. i'll try again next time

@@vulnerablerummy you punish lws with assault armor due to their low ap (they will escape the counter aa in their pulse armor anyways.)
