I love micro cars it’s a fascinating commentary in post war society . America was thriving its cars were huge Europe was recovering from a horrible war cars needed to be very inexpensive as times were tuff.
Also European countries had various tax laws that gave a big boost to small displacement and/or three wheel vehicles. Today Japan has (or had?) laws that give a big break to cars of certain minimal dimensions called Kei cars.
I had a Bond Minicar for about 2 years. Mine was an estate car version with a 250cc twin sports bike engine, which gave it a 60mph top speed and a lot faster acceleration than the basic 250cc single. Lack of a reverse gear was not a problem because the entire engine/transmission/front wheel unit turned a full 180 degrees from lock to lock. If you were in a tight parking situation, you could turn the steering to full lock and drive out sideways. It was great fun to put it in full lock in the middle of the road and go round in circles on the spot. It would have passers by in stitches.
Amazing little gems. I have a collection over thirty micro and bubble cars and looking at them gives me greatest joy. Full of character. I didn't know about anything about most of your fifteen described cars. Superb and most informative. Thank you very much

They left out the BMW built Isetta which was probably the smallest of the cars featured. I remember seeing it in Brooklyn, New York, in the late 1950s. It was a one seater with a front entry door.
You guys forgot the Peel P50, the recordholder for smallest car ever build 😂 (I want to say you forgot the Reliant Robin too, but I don't know if that counts as a microcar)
No 2 was best in the list and there were other good cars in it's background, maybe present t-rex quadracycle will one day give content for future videos.
I'm the Fountainhead Museum, in Fairbanks, there is a unique tiny car. It is the first Vehicle MADE in Alaska. Check it out; the story behind it is rather funny!
I saw some of Professor Zundapp's relatives. I actually think they're quite cute, apart from the yellow & black one which looks like it works for Professor Zundapp!
The December 2008 issue of "Thoroughbred & Classic Cars" had an article "Buy a Bond car", that sadly didn't include any cars manufactured by the company established by Laurie Bond. There were none of the single cylinder fwd trikes, no Triumph based 4 wheel Equipes or even the Reliant based Bond Bug, only Aston Martins, two Lotus Espris and a 72 Mustang Mach I. What were these alleged automotive journalists thinking???

Some people might say the trivia orange wedge is a CitiCar, but it is actually a 1980 Comuta-Car (built by the same company as the CitiCar but is a later version of it).
Did anybody check the subtitles in German? There are very many mistakes. I missed the BMW Isetta. Why didn't you show it. I think, it was the most important microcar ever.
Sadly that the BMW Isetta not is in this List. Or the KR200 Kabinenroller what oldschool mentioned. Humm the H.M.V. Freeway.... i think with a 1979 Kawazaki Z-1300 Engine would been a better Idea for this tiny Thing. :p More Power!! Houh!! Houh!! Houh!! XD

Next best thing to a motor bike for European city streets although a death trap in a heavy collision. The short 3 wheelers are known to be unstable and flip over in a sharp/ sloped turns.

I just love these mini vehicles, I would love to run around town in any of them!!!!
Karen Vickers come on
At 12:52, that beautiful Pink 1956 Cadillac Fleetwod was one of the most desired car of those of us who couldn't afford it!
My husband was 1 years off.
I love you Allie.

Thanks for a great video, stay healthy.

What an extraordinary collection of golf carts on steroids lol. 😁
Trivia question 1: Vanguard Sebring Citicar (started by Bob Beaumont - built 1974 - 1977)
Trivia question 2: Elvis's 1955 pink Cadillac
Pink Cadillac- Elvis' moms car at Graceland
Amazing, amazing, amazing and so darn cute most of them!!!!!!
Dr. Seuss must have used these cars for inspiration in his books. The Subaru 650 might have fit into this category as well.
These Light cars is very very cute and small. I want create these cars to send to costumers!!
Love your stuff!!!
THANKS FOR THE MINI CARS VIDEO! THE CAR WERE ADORABLE AND I REALLY COULD NOT PICK A FAVORITE! I GUESS IF PUSH CAME TO SHOVE I WOULD TAKE NUMBER 1
Actually my favorite car of all time
1962 El Dorado I almost bought one
What changed your mind?

Okay, now I'm pissed! How dare you create a list of "mini-vehicles" and leave out the "Messerschmitt KR200"?? COME ON MAN!!
No iseta either it was a good list but not comprehensive
Nor did I see the Crosely Hotshot, etc
These cars have featured in other videos by these guys.
You mean this Messerschmitt? Lots of fun th-cam.com/video/k71NmCJfvfo/w-d-xo.html
Don't forget the bond bug!!
Allie seems to have rectangular eyes..but strangely quite attractive
I vote for Brütsch Mopetta
I believe that it is the famous PINK Cadillac Elvis gave to his mother.
Hello William Wurthmann, thank you for watching!
Pink Cadillac belongs to Elvis
No isetta and peel P50?
Elvis Presley 1954 pink cadillac, pro ably at Graceland
Wish you had featured the Bond Bug 3 wheel 2 seater. Learnt to drive in on end had fantastic acceleration! Roof lifted for access.
Fairly sure we featured that one in another video. th-cam.com/play/PLJmAwjBwlfgLjxHIGWOM7Gc4dqzDtzv9w.html
The Freeway was my favorite coffin on wheels.
The Lane museum on Nashville has a lot of these mini cars.
I’m surprised you didn’t include the little three wheel BMW where the entire front was the door. Good video. Thanks.
Incredibly good suggestion. However, that's one we have featured in the past l th-cam.com/play/PLJmAwjBwlfgLjxHIGWOM7Gc4dqzDtzv9w.html
the isetta?
They left out the BMW built Isetta which was probably the smallest of the cars featured. I remember seeing it in Brooklyn, New York, in the late 1950s. It was a one seater with a front entry door.
Isetta franchi was an Italian design built in both Italy and Germany and had a tiny two kid back seat and two smaller adult front seat layout …
I would be glad to drive any of these.
Amazingly, I got a Janus toy car as a kid. Still have it.
Both doors opened but as I remember, the steering wheel was attached to the door...
You guys forgot the Peel P50, the recordholder for smallest car ever build 😂 (I want to say you forgot the Reliant Robin too, but I don't know if that counts as a microcar)
And the Hoffman and the Brooch moped
No mention of the King Midget. It folded just 2 years before the gas crisis.
We may have featured it before, although I do not recall the King Midget. th-cam.com/play/PLJmAwjBwlfgLjxHIGWOM7Gc4dqzDtzv9w.html
@@mindseyedesign It was in production for a number of years. Early versions had been in the 'golf cart' category.
@@dirtcop11 Interesting, I'll check it out. Thank you.
Cadillac Biarritz
Thank you- thankyouverymuch
That car that the lady asked us about is a 1976 Sebring-Vanguard CitiCar.
Elvis Presley‘s mothers car
The main reason I watched this was to see the BMW Isetta running. Where is it?
Only because we already featured it lol th-cam.com/play/PLJmAwjBwlfgLjxHIGWOM7Gc4dqzDtzv9w.html
No 2 was best in the list and there were other good cars in it's background, maybe present t-rex quadracycle will one day give content for future videos.
That's a hot pink Cadillac in the Elvis Presley museum supposedly the one he gave to his mother

NUMBER 14 IS ON MY I WANT SOMEDAY LIST! IT IS ADORABLE,
The AWS Shopper design reminds me of the Tesla Cybertruck 😂😂😂
Human ingenuity...
The Pink Caddy Elvis gave to his mother?
This is a Tavria Pinguin at the 80's
First trivia picture; it's a Bond bug
4:41 that is a Citi car
12:54 1956 Cadillac fleetwood
Surprisingly you failed to mention the King Midget as a contender and arguably a long production run
Trivia time: early 50s cadillac deville, probably Elvis Presleys one
The December 2008 issue of "Thoroughbred & Classic Cars" had an article "Buy a Bond car", that sadly didn't include any cars manufactured by the company established by Laurie Bond. AKA The Death Trap !
I love Alie 😍😍😍
I never thought I'd see a car made in Preston, England
Trivia, with a number of the Bond cars you had to open the bonnet & put your leg in so you could "Kickstart" the engine.
That sounds painful imm11 bttww
NUMBER 9 WOULD BE PERFECT FOR HALLOWEEN! LOL
What, no BMW Isetta?
the first one was a citi car I remember watching someone review one
Bien.
Manquent au moins Messeschmit et Isetta.
1955 Sedan de Ville
For sure it's 1954 at the oldest (wrap-around windshield) and 1957 at the newest (1958's had quad headlights). Anything else to go by?

Pink Cadillac 1950 something!
the Flincher and Freeway remind me of the Velorex.
#3 looks like that because they used canopies from fighter planes.
It's an all-electric car which used about 6 batteries. It was known as the Citicar.

The pink car she questions about is a 1955 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 series
