I really like Ivar as a character, he is so wicked, yet you have sympathy for him since you've seen his past. Hope to see even more awesomeness from him soon. My new favorite character of the series.
Crazy Owl I agree except I don't understand why Ivar haters point out that he is a killer and psychopath. I agree he is a killer. But all of them are. "Kill or be killed". This was their way of life. Ivar just happened to be a killer that was very intelligent in his time period. All of them killed. Love Ivar or hate him, he is the most interesting and complex character out of all of them. He's no simple man. Let's be honest, we wouldn't even be debating or discussing any of this if it wasn't for Ivar. Thnx guys.
clare5 one I totally agree. Sometimes I'm still blown away by the energy AlexHoghAndersen brings to this character. He is spectacular! He deserves an award and he deserves every praise he gets for his acting abilities in this character. Amazing!
I think what makes Ivar my favorite out of the brothers (along w/Hviterik). They know who they are and that is VIKING. As I feel Ubbe and Bjorn are in conflict with being a son of Ragnar, and who they truly are. TEAM IVAR!!!!!!
Bjorn is literally the definition of a viking.. hes killed a bear and a berserker.. fought more wars than them all.. been to more countries than them all.. if anyone is VIKING its Bjorn
Bjorn its much older than his brothers, wtf are u saying??? He killed a bear, wow, give some time to Ivar and he will be killing 2 bears next season hahaha
Ivar is the legacy of Ragnar Lodbrok. His father crafted him into the most frightening Viking to ever exist. That what people forget. He has no limits because his father wanted that and that's why I love the genius behind Ragnar. Even in death he is still securing his legacy and his love for Ivar.
nunya biznez In the meanwhile, toddler, 129 people cared. I would suggest you to take the pin out of your ass, apply an ice package and press tight. Keep pressing for a day or two. Then sit near the fire with a hot cocoa and try to get over your trauma.
nunya biznez But intead of pulling the pin out, you keep looking for me? I know that you try to tell me you need help, but I have already given you my advice: Pull the pin out of your ass, apply some ice and talk your trauma over. I would suggest diapers as well, they can help you tremendously.
Ivar anger rage has no boundaries.. 😠 He doesn't know his limits, He's extreme interested character, it will be very interesting to see Ivar learns how to control his anger well, to grow abit mature to manhood as He grows older recording to Vikings film creator producer Michael Hirst.. 😁🤘❤ There a beast inside this young man, Ivar is unstable with no boundaries, He doesn't knows His limits, He's dangerous to everyone including himself sometimes, however He's very clever also He loves the war and glory, and respected the Gods. He's has complicated life, being crippled to struggle with pains, who works extra hard to prove his brothers that He can, just be as good as them as a ruler leader, if not better in glory battlefield to become famous ruthless Commander warrior leader, the King of Dublin Northmen of Ireland and Britain.
I hope we get to see Ivar & Alfred come face to face on the battlefield eventually, that would be great drama!!! Two young rival leaders whose fathers were kindred spirits waging war against one another, that would be a great story :)
I wish Ivar hadn't shown immediate regret for killing Sigurd. I was expecting him to justify what he did and say that he was in the right, which is more fitting for his character.
Bjorn will always be the best because he will remplace ragnar and that its sur at 100% and for who are still mad after the death of our king we will be happy
recent discoveries found that, the boneless might be just a nickname, for him becoming so agile and fast while fighting it's like hes boneless. another one is that he made inventions to a boat, now the boat goes way faster...boat=boneless. because they found wat they believe is ivars body along with other vikings in Ireland.
The real Ivor the Boneless had his Capital Settlement in present day Dublin. During the 1970's the Irish Government built over the foundations of that once huge settlement. His Longships were the scourge of Wales, Northwest and Southwest England. Also the Isle of Man. Research has shown that present day people still carry genes that originated in Scandinavia. Wasn't he carried around on top of a shied?
It's a very weak theory that the actual Ivar the Boneless was a cripple. For instance bone in scandinavian is ben which both means legs and bone. In this case it means legs. And in English it's boneLESS. In Danish Norwegian and Swedish it's benLØSE... løse is roughly translated into both loose (not to confuse with lose) and less . So in other words he was most likely someone who was very active on his feet/legs who got around and the actual translation would be leg/footloose. That being said, Alex is a phenomenal actor and is the best character in vikings imo, it just annoys me if anyone thinks that any of it is anywhere near to being accurate. That and "shieldmaidens". I don't like my history being revisioned for some feel good bullshit or political purposes. Still love the character, but solely in the mind that it's a fantasy character.
medusa Thank you, why should Ivar or Aslaug for that matter care about little Siggy when Bjorn himself didn't give a damn . It's sad but nobody and I mean nobody really care about the poor kid except Sigurd.
Mancada100 I completely agree with you. I thought when they killed Ragnar off I was done and pissed at the same time! Took me a minute to watch season 4b and 5a for that reason. The only reason I started watching it again is bcuz I didn't have anything else to watch. But when I did I was so pissed at myself for waiting! Ivar completely won me over. I've watched season 4b and 5a so many times I stop counting. Only bcuz of Ivar. He is a spectacular actor! I can't wait for season 5b. It will be epic!
Ivar, the true Spawn of Satan. This is why it is never okay to enable your child after he kills one of the other kids at the playground. I'm not the one for dead baby jokes , but Ragnar should've killed him when he had the chance. Then again if he did I probably wouldn't like Ragnar anymore and stopped watching the show, But in hindsight.
Is that part of the story based on true events or was it added to the show? .. I haven't watched it yet, but compare this scene of him w Ramsay Bolton is too much .. Bolton makes a bettter evil men. Hes not contradicted on his actions. He is a psicopath and loves it. The only thing in common could be the constant need of aproval of their fathers.
Damn...now Ivar's going to go and ruin his pretty skin! One would hope that he of all Ragnar's sons would show a little bit of individuality and not get covered in tats!
That’s kind of the point. He sounds kind of young and innocent, has a bit of a baby face but then he pulls a hell spawn look like in 2:06 which is arguably a little scarier than a tall jacked badass. It’s kind of like kids in horror films. You normally wouldn’t be scared of a little girl but when they start walking aimlessly and sing lullabies in a horror film, your skin starts crawling.
phatloot They had to put his character in the series you do realize the charaters in the series are real people that acually existed right? Ivar was the most famous Viking of all time in real life they had to include him in a show about vikings.
phatloot I don't know what you are looking at. But AlexHoghAndersen as IvarTheBoneless is spectacular! He is the only reason I continue to watch this show without Ragnar. He deserves an award. I'm still astounded at this guy's acting abilities to be so young. Everyone has their opinion and that's ok. But if I had an award I would give him mine. Fact!
This kid needs an Emmy.
Not even close, but he is a great actor.
He deserves an #Oscar! Ivar is spectacular! 4Realz...
Winterfell 74 no, he’s fantastic. So young to be this good. Can you imagine how his career is going to go?
Ivar, an incredible, fierce, explosive duality but it has such a tender look. I arrived in Mexico fifth season. I fell in love with Alex's eyes.
sue miho Girl, I fell in love with Ivar's everything! Lol. He is ridiculously gorgeous. And a spectacular actor. Smh
the one character that is truly limited is the only character that doesn't recognise limits
That's real
True dat
I really like Ivar as a character, he is so wicked, yet you have sympathy for him since you've seen his past. Hope to see even more awesomeness from him soon. My new favorite character of the series.

Nicely said my dude
This is a damn great character. Damn do I like him.
I'm a cripple ? Yes, we all know that by now. Damned good actor!
clare5 one I totally agree. Sometimes I'm still blown away by the energy AlexHoghAndersen brings to this character. He is spectacular! He deserves an award and he deserves every praise he gets for his acting abilities in this character. Amazing!

Agreed!
Bjorn is literally the definition of a viking.. hes killed a bear and a berserker.. fought more wars than them all.. been to more countries than them all.. if anyone is VIKING its Bjorn
bjorn is much more interesting and complex character than ivar tbh, but people have weird fascination with psychos
Bjorn its much older than his brothers, wtf are u saying??? He killed a bear, wow, give some time to Ivar and he will be killing 2 bears next season hahaha
Ernesto Oddone agreed
Ivar is the legacy of Ragnar Lodbrok. His father crafted him into the most frightening Viking to ever exist. That what people forget. He has no limits because his father wanted that and that's why I love the genius behind Ragnar. Even in death he is still securing his legacy and his love for Ivar.
Ivar, my boy... You can troll people to death :) My favorite character!!
Ubbe is right next to him.
And of course, Floki has a pace of his own.
squashedeyeball Floki is cool as shit lol
@squashedeyeball .. you're a fucking moron and no one cares about your shitty little opinion.
nunya biznez

@squashedeyeball ... Well then out of all the millions and millions of actual people in the world you found 129 shitheads. Good for you little fella'.
nunya biznez

THE TRUE HEIR OF RAGNAR.
I hope we get to see Ivar & Alfred come face to face on the battlefield eventually, that would be great drama!!! Two young rival leaders whose fathers were kindred spirits waging war against one another, that would be a great story :)
Everyone will fear Ivar the boneless
Sssh. YOu're dead.
whynottalklikeapirat 😂😂that's not funny
Ivar is my favorite character
Great character! All Hail King Ivar!
Ivar the Boneless with eyes so blue the whites of his eyes were blue.
I wish Ivar hadn't shown immediate regret for killing Sigurd. I was expecting him to justify what he did and say that he was in the right, which is more fitting for his character.
Ivar is quickly becoming the best character in all of television!!! BTW he said he's a cripple not a "creeper " lol
Joel Suazo oh thank's i didn't listen right because of his accent
In all of television? That might be pushing it, but his character is "interesting" in a sense.
Bjorn will always be the best because he will remplace ragnar and that its sur at 100% and for who are still mad after the death of our king we will be happy
yeah he will but not now the adventure has just beginning
No he wont he dies a rich man in sweden
Ivar is great
I'm a *cripple*? I need a bodyguard XD
Ivar is a gangster.
recent discoveries found that, the boneless might be just a nickname, for him becoming so agile and fast while fighting it's like hes boneless. another one is that he made inventions to a boat, now the boat goes way faster...boat=boneless. because they found wat they believe is ivars body along with other vikings in Ireland.
Ivar is easily the best character on the show next to Ragnar
The real Ivor the Boneless had his Capital Settlement in present day Dublin. During the 1970's the Irish Government built over the foundations of that once huge settlement. #TeamIvar
AdriRandin #teamivar
ivar is like zuko from avatar
" Shut your mouth! "
3 days to wait boyzzz
His grin rlly creeps me out lol
Ivar is the 2nd ragnar
He does not look like Ragnar, but he sure talks like him. And have the same ambitious nature he had at the start of the series.
Ivar could do well in an excorcist movie
Oh man.I was shocked in this episode, he killed his own brother!
It's a very weak theory that the actual Ivar the Boneless was a cripple. For instance bone in scandinavian is ben which both means legs and bone. In this case it means legs. #teamIvar 😍
I lost sympathy for Ivar when he laughed at Siggy's death as a kid. That motherfucker can rot...but the actor who plays him is cute though.
Did you lose sympathy for Bjorn when he refused to hold his daughter and never cared she died?
medusa there are no heroes in this show. So who are we supposed to root for?
medusa Thank you, why should Ivar or Aslaug for that matter care about little Siggy when Bjorn himself didn't give a damn . It's sad but nobody and I mean nobody really care about the poor kid except Sigurd.
GOOFY LUCK Just root for who you like regardless of moralty.
Right he’s a monster
I Come Ivar the Boneless
Is the season over what’s the last season for Vikings? I just now found out of this show

Let's be honest here: Ivar is the only reason this serie is still watchable ... since Ragnar die the serie has become a Game of Thrones clone
Mancada100 I completely agree with you. I thought when they killed Ragnar off I was done and pissed at the same time! Took me a minute to watch season 4b and 5a for that reason. how its called ? that old style of making tattoos
Team MAROOOOOO
Ivar, the true Spawn of Satan. This is why it is never okay to enable your child after he kills one of the other kids at the playground. I'm not the one for dead baby jokes , but Ragnar should've killed him when he had the chance. give that ivar a women then he will be soft and normal like baby! never seen him with a women?!!
Andrea Melado if im corect it's inspired by true events but mostly fiction
Damn...now Ivar's going to go and ruin his pretty skin! One would hope that he of all Ragnar's sons would show a little bit of individuality and not get covered in tats!
I hate his baby voice, he tries to sounds badass and creepy but he just sounds like a 15 years old kid. CORRECTION: 5 YEARS OLD
That’s kind of the point.
He is SUPPOSED to be a 15 year old kid. 15 year olds are absolute psychos!
You do realize he is only 16 years old right?
He is like...16 or so
Vanic well ragnar did say hes dangerous because of how innocent he looks so im sure thats supposed to be how ivar sounds
He is the worst character they could put in the series, it pretty much ruined the show for me.
phatloot They had to put his character in the series you do realize the charaters in the series are real people that acually existed right? Ivar was the most famous Viking of all time in real life they had to include him in a show about vikings.
Yeah i know that, im talking about the actor - he is absolutley shit.
ps Sigurd never killed by his brother in history I believe he came one of founders of Scotland.
phatloot I don't know what you are looking at. Fact!
My son....no need to scream all the time
