I don't understand WHO the "Special Guest" is supposed to be? The sound wasn't clear enough for me to hear who the name was, and the video isn't zoomed in close enough to tell who it is. So, WHO is it?!
Ahhh...OK! THX Man! ...Who's Mike Cottmeyer?! LOL Not that I'm being a smartass, or anything, but I really have no idea? Is he a local Atlanta musician?
Haha, don't laugh, Dolly probably would have put her personal touch of genius vocals and talent on it and blew everyone away! 😂 AND THE BOOBIES as an extra added BONUS! 😲
I am still convinced Collective Soul stole the main riff of this song from me when I was living in Atlanta. I used to play it all the time as a warm up exercise with my apartment windows wide open. Who knows, maybe Ed or somebody happened to be driving by and said, "hey, that sounds cool, we should use that."
Dont think so, the band's popularity has nothing to with Ross's departure from the band, it's just the way the music changed over the years. The radio is dominated by pop nowadays and rock in general is hardly supported.
Life moves forward and we all do whatever it takes to keep it alive...Cant expect everyone to live our own timeline...theyre human and just want to jam....
Those days will never return .. miss it...😐️😐️😐️
🤘🏾❤️👏🏽 in 2024!!!!
Still gives me chills hearing the opening riff of this great song! Love you CS!
Always loved this band ❤️🌻 enjoy your day 🌹💐
In 2024 ❤❤❤❤❤
Didn’t know Johnny Rabb was their drummer, nice!
Love Collective Soul...
Sounds incredible, and that distortion before chorus 😎🤘
💖 these guys🤘
Now that’s a gig and a half 👌🏻😎
Love the little party Jesse and Dean are having
As a fan of Metallica: this is a win
The special guest thing was cool. I hate to laugh but will Turpin tripping at 9:50 is also kinda funny.
🗽🗽
at 0:45 he says "we'd like to thank James Hetfield this evening" .... I guess the guy from Metallica???
DownHill Phil Yah me too
it sounded like a joke.
I was hoping the special guest would be Ross Childress
Jackass
Me too
And his ex-wife
Now that would be epic!
Me too.
Love the bass keeping it up👍
🌹💜💜💘💜💜🌹
I love the day I first in love with you my one.. this music reminds me Always of my life..
See at half time folks...this is so strong
Dean has always been criminally underrated. You know, this sing would have fit nicely on "Tiny Music."
Man there's no Dean DeLeo in this video
Mcberns is watching 🇵🇭
Will Turpin takes a spill at 9:45
He leapt off his own little stage only to slip getting back on ! Funny, and only bc no injury.
Below is who Mike is , its NOT James Hetfield
the new guy jessie is fucking a beats on guitar i just with johhn was a little more not so stiff and rocking. hes very good though
Dear Lord! That is one hell of a sneaker he's wearing. I bet it glows in the dark
That guy in the background with the red shoes?
That would be the bassist, Will Turpin. He's been with the band since day one.
Jh shit anybody would be down with that man.

thee4thdoctor that's the one and only ... Mike Cottmeyer
Ahhh...OK! THX Man! ...Who's Mike Cottmeyer?! LOL Not that I'm being a smartass, or anything, but I really have no idea? Is he a local Atlanta musician?
thee4thdoctor awe I couldn't get to hear either
Thanks for clarifying that it’s Mike Cottmeyer, we’ve been trying to figure this out for so long. Lol
idmwizard who the hell is Mike Cottmeyer?
James hettfield Metallica!
I heard it was James Hatfield ???
Can't be James Hatfield
Who were the guests?
James hatffield from Metallica , man
Where was this concert?
This was in the Tabernacle in Atlanta. Great, small-ish venue to see this band.
Their shows seem tighter than Pearl Jam's DARK MATTER tour...
Greal song but I can't believe that They brought in an outside guitarist to upstage the (2) existing 2 lead guitarists. Mike isn't to blame but ...
That's not James😵🤗
Who is the guess??
Mike Cottmeyer
I used to love this band
??
That's my CEO
💛
Where was this?
This was at The Tabernacle in downtown Atlanta.
Good thing he didn't spit at the audience this time
9:40 lmao
I would of loved to of been there to see this spectacular beautiful performance with Eddie van Halen RIP he's def. Letting his light shine down
lol, that's not Eddie
I was expecting Dolly Parton
Haha, don't laugh, Dolly probably would have put her personal touch of genius vocals and talent on it and blew everyone away! 😂 AND THE BOOBIES as an extra added BONUS! 😲
Was Special Guest...not guests...@@
HA, would you believe that Dolly actually did officially cover this song. It probably flattered Ed for her to do it, plus got him a few extra $$$
I heard James hetfield

😂
Maybe who knows it is a small world out there. Could be a possibility
Next time keep your windows closed.
@@Joe-mz6dc I think I prefer the idea of continuing to delude myself that I had anything to do with their success whenever I hear the song.
In your dreams Rob. But if it makes you happy, then keep on
this band went downhill when they lost Ross Childress..they're more of a pop rock band now compared before.
yea...and who's to blame for that
Dont think so, the band's popularity has nothing to with Ross's departure from the band, it's just the way the music changed over the years. The radio is dominated by pop nowadays and rock in general is hardly supported.

They were definitely very pop rock even when Ross was there.
@@HiredGoonage Takes two to tango...But yeah, imagine if he'd ignored his (Ed's) wife he'd still be with CS.
he refuses to sing. doesn't know the words.
