- After an entire month of balancing life, editing and work, revisiting P A I N in TGCF, 10+ coloring revisions, 63827 software crashes, and ruining my ears for audio editing, I bring you my first ever long edit in my life (4 minutes). This is honestly the most difficult edit so far due to its length and because I struggled to keep the tension of the mv up while showing the stories that made Xie Lian who he is at present. I wanted to show how him, despite his deep scars and grief, is still able to touch the lives of others and save them in one way or another. TGCF has always left a deep impression on my heart because of this so I hope I managed to convey this message well.

Wow...this is an absolute masterpiece!! I love how you wove the different timelines together with Xie Lian's age at the time to show what Xie Lian has gone through. I love how it shows why Xie Lian takes on the burdens of the world on himself and how Hua Cheng's section challenges it. How Hua Cheng will never forget him and won't abandon him. How Xie Lian just existing is hope for others, but especially Hua Cheng because he stands up for others. Because after everything Xie Lian has gone through, he is still here! The quotes used for this and the scenes chosen for each section with the song just fit!! I love how it ends with Xie Lian still fighting and still being a good person even after everything! Again, a masterpiece!! 🤍❤️
THIS. this is everything I feel about tgcf but cannot put into words so I expressed it through this amv instead. the song Still Here immediately struck me as a song about Xie Lian who is "still here" despite everything he's been through. the last parts of the song sounded too much like hope, like the Hua Cheng who was "still here" for the Xie Lian who struggled, hurt and went with the flow through the passing of time. Hua Cheng is the hope Xie Lian needed and still needs which is just so beautiful to me because he's actually been here, "still here", with Xie Lian this entire time.

The past pain and hardships you showed that still stick with Xie Lian, but despite it all he's still here. When the music quieted and Hua Cheng's voice as a child came in saying 'it won't happen' screaming 'I’ll never forget you' I got goosebumps. For Hua Cheng Xie Lian is his reason he's still here. Not even death itself can bring him down. The hope they find in each other was showcased beautifully. Thank you for creating this piece of art. Their story will always bring me to tears.

I'm back here again after months and I love seeing how well received the AMV is and I still get shivers. I am now finished with TGCF novel fully and currently not able to get over it all yet and reading fanfics and just watching all the content I can haha. MY GOSH I WASN'T EXPECTING THIS KIND OF EDIT THAT GOES BACK IN TIME AND MAKES A RECAP OF THINGS THAT WERE SHOWN IN DONGHUA, I AM SPEECHLESS... How I covered my mouth watching this cause now that I re-watch the animation because now I am on my first read of printed Volume 3 (spoiled already almost everything from series) and I know what happens and I see the details like Young Soldier in the ending then replaced by Hua Cheng I get so emotional, I can now understand the animation better and your edit gave me the feels.
