love this , I started doing it on the different under goals markets depending on the situation / likelihood of goals, sadly my first one I got in on two teams that usually score lots at 0-0...immediately a goal on under 3.5 at 1.3 and the odds jumped to 1.40 and the attacking favourite team was given a red card which screwed it up, there was another goal from the dog but too late and too little, only lost £3 quid though. Tried it again tonight on the under 1.5 on two teams that usually score a lot and it was 0-0 at 60 minutes, got the goal and cashed out for a £5 profit on a £2.75 stake, quite happy with that. Will keep going, I am finding the worst thing is your instinct is usually right, and you can be watching and watching and boom a goal right before you decide to jump in!

Loving this Strategy doing as James suggests, testing for small stakes 100 with so far good results closing on 40 trades. I have found opportunities of around 6 to 8 on a normal Saturdays fixtures (League)
I quite like this, but what do you think of this method? Say you start the second half and you pick an entry point of 1.5, at the same time you select to get out (back) under 1.5 goals at 1.4 giving yourself a small loss if nobody scores. Is it not better to have a few small losses like this so when you do get a winner you'll be making at least three times the average loss, more if you risk leaving the game to run for two goals to be scored? Hope that makes sense.
I saw once more this video and this strategy gave me an idea. I often start a trade by backing the under 1.5 goal in a match with poor scoring teams in the 1st half. About 15 minutes later (I never waited more...accidents can happen), odds are lower and I cash out taking my profit and I move to another match ...or not. But, if there is no goal at half time, and if the 2 teams score more in the 2nd half, I could use this strategy to extract more profits from the same match. I will have to think about this next time. When it's such an early goal like that was on the 57th minute why not stick £10 on the score of 1-0 knowing that will win or you will get the full payout less the correct score stake if there is another goal!

Hey James just a thought. I have been watching the stats for a few years. 0-0 at half time could end up 0-0 full time have you thought about taking insurance by backing 0-0 to recover your stake or would you consider going for games that have a goal instead?
Thats a good idea, one goal you'll be able to trade out the overs a lot of the time, if your 0-0 hits it will be okay, only a single late goal would ruin the whole trades.
The trade is until the final whistle. If the goal does not arrive, then we take a loss. This is why it's important to stick to a staking system and the odds range to leg in.
can't decide whether to use this strategy or the lay the cs strategy as not much different liability could be lower on u1.5 but so could the profit if a goal is scored before the 60th min for example

It's entirely up to you, you can cash out for the loss or let it run which is what I usually do. For the low amounts of liability and the small amount you would get back at the 80th minute you may as well let it run. I've had 85th minute goals and still made a small profit or broke even.

You say to look for lay odds of between 1.4 and 1.8... So if this game had odds of 1.8 for under 1.5 goals, would you have then laid at 1.8, 1.7, 1.6 an so on?

Just my thoughts: isn't it more profitable (and easier to do...) to just back over 0.5 goals (or over 1.5, 2.5, depending on the score at the moment of the bet, of course....) at average odds of 1.40 - that's pretty much the odds at the moment of your first bet, which is lay at 1.60?! Like this you will have better returns when the goal comes early after that minute, or even more so, close to the end of the game! It is true that the return is slightly better when the goal comes between 70-80 mins, but it's compensated by the superior outcome in case of scoring take place in 55'-70' and after the 80th... and no more the hassle of "dripping" the stake...
Very good points Lucian. Traders don't back, backers don't trade etc. The best way to answer your question is to back test, but if the aim to profit from one goal being scored in the 2nd half then your idea seems more logical.
If you place a back bet of £25 @ 1.4 you get a return of £10 if you win. That's a 2.5 times loss if there is no goal. This strategy reduces the liability so that you are laying at an average of 1.3. If you lay, for the same liability (£25), your lay stake would be £83 (return). This is why doing it this way around is more profitable and puts less money at risk.

Backing Over 1.5 and Laying Under 1.5 is the same thing. Laying just makes having a set stake easier to understand and manage for most people that's all.

You could try and trade out just a few minutes before end of game. Once the odds hit 1.1 they can't go any lower. It might be that there isn't enough money in the market to trade out but the losses are so low anyway

Over 1.5 @ 2.90 at HT ? OMG What kind of shity game should it be to have that kind of odds ? Let’s be honest, if you want to start laying the Under 1.5 @ 1.50, most of the time you have to wait until the 55th min no ? So you need a goal in the 30 min bracket otherwise it’s a full loss… Hard to believe this strategy can be profitable on the long run :-/
I was thinking about the same but nobody wrote any comment about it. Its very rare to find a match with this odds HT. Especially in top leagues. Anyway the video is good, the strategy is not bad. Lets check the second video James mentioned ;)
This can often be the case.... If the odds have not reached your desired level at HT you could either wait until they do as time decays into the second half or walk away altogether. Not every game will reach the odds at HT... The risk/reward comes down to how confident you are in your data research to then enter the trade say at 50mins, 60 mins or beyond. 👍
Just i tried this strategy right now. Tottenham v wolves. 0-0 at HFT , 1-0 at 63’ . First enter on 1.75 second 1.6 and third 1.5 . I almost made 50% profit . So Thanks I will keep records and I will come back After a month with my P/L
Whether you're Backing or Laying, to make the same amount of profit I would still have to place the same stakes, the liability would be the same. Backing Over 1.5 Or Laying Under 1.5 is exactly the same thing.
For me personally I will take the hit and lose. You could trade out for a slightly smaller loss after 80 mins but the difference will be peanuts. I will have a new video about this coming when the football season starts and show a new staking method that greatly helps this strategy. Have you joined our discord server? @@TradingTheMarket Was there ever a second video on this? The issues I'm having is that statistically there are 23% of games that end 0-0 if they were 0-0 at HT and 77% have a goal. The trade out value of the 77% is breaking about even with the full loss of the 23% 0-0 draws. It needs some tweaking to steal a bit more value, then I can let it run by itself.

You cant win every trade, no one does, if youre smart you will bet a percentage of your betting bank, if you have a good strategy and you win more than you lose in the long term you will be in profit

You lay with the bigger liability on the CS and you win 100% vs losing 300% or with this you risk losing 100% for a 30% gain
This is win (cash out from) £100 with £30 at risk. Laying the 0-0 is putting £100 at risk for £30 gain (potential)

Just a quickie is there a time limit to trade out ie still 0-0 at say 80 mins or a decimal figure to stick to to keep losses at a minimum

Why didn't you back Over 1.5 goals and buy that while the odds go up? Would need much less money.

You cant win every trade, no one does, if youre smart you will bet a percentage of your betting bank, if you have a good strategy and you win more than you lose in the long term you will be in profit
