Later there was a Godsmack documentary I was watching and the lead singer, Sully Erna commented on how a certain number people has really impressed him, with their singing ability, she was one of them. (They have a lot great songs, but for reaction purposes, I would like to suggest *STAND ALONE*) I thought about getting one of her CD's one time and they were incredibly expensive, which if you are the best then paying for such quality goes hand in hand.

She's the singer on the Gladiator soundtrack. Look up "Now We Are Free" by Hans Zimmer or "Host of Seraphim" by Dead Can Dance for Lisa Gerrard's best!
So glad you were able to discover Lisa Gerard’s voice. I have been a fan of hers since forever and when she first began singing. We are all blessed to be able to hear something coming from the most beautiful vocal chords in the world. It’s my hope that you will continue to listen to her and become more inspired by her music. She did an interview not long ago describing the incredible experience she goes through when singing...it’s almost magical.

I seriously hate how underrated and underappreciated Lisa Gerrard/Dead can Dance is. I discovered Dead can Dance around 20 years ago, when I was around 12 and it's always been my favourite music to listen when I want to detach myself from everything. It has an otherworldly vibe and it's all thanks to Lisa's amazing vocal prowess. Also, I like how 95% of those who watched the Gladiator have no idea that Lisa Gerrard is singing Now we are free.
Before even starting your video, I whish to say that I'm SOoo delighted to have just found out you did a 'reaction' on Lisa Gerrard (despite of the publishing date that is). Especially this song and that specific live performance. Now lets watch you react to Mme Gerrard unique voice. IMO, even while Lisa Gerrard sings in Glossolalia, the full spectrum of emotions is definitely felt throughout. Well, you'll see... or rather hear for yourself ...
I've seen her and Dead Can Dance many times live and it was always another level. Simply amazing. It's hard to analyze it, it's just very spiritual and straight from the soul.
Lisa is magnificent. I'm glad to see you have covered her unique performance. I've not had time to read all posts, so apologies if I rehash... If I remember correctly from watching all the bonus material on their essential boxed set, Lisa is friends with Russell Crow's wife, who helped facilitate her work on the insider, and Gladiator soundtracks. Lisa also sings mainly with simple vocalizations, not words. She explained, that after listening to the sounds her newborn made, she was singing in a universal language. PS. Rebecca, you too are magnificent and lovely. Love your channel.
Fifteen years ago I watched The insider. Great movie, but the real gift was to listen to Lisa Gerrard and Massive Attack for the first time. Both songs (Sacrifice and Safe from harm) are masterpieces and I was instantly captivated by them. The rest of the soundtrack is amazing as well.
I had the privilege to see and hear her sing live in 1988 , at a concert of Dead Can dance . It was as if we all were in heaven for a few hours, or at least in another place and time . Mesmerizing. I'd recoomend you listen to some of the Dead Can dance music form the 80's and early nineties , very powerful !

Dead can dance-indus, the lotus eaters, agape, kiko, wind that shakes the barley...my favorite female vocalist for many years, never disappoints.
Her lyrics are in her own language, her own way of speaking in tongues.
It's called Glossolalia
Im a fan for Years! She is so unique! Seen her live two times. She is thevoice!
You will never hear anything like her. Sanvean, my heart

Your reaction from @6:20 - 6:45 is priceless =) Glad you got to experience her music.
Space Weaver is another great song and video of hers.
Lmaooooooo 1:34 is the exact face I was making in my spirit. Those soft transitional trills and glisses are out worldly.
What vocal coach doesn’t know Lisa Gerard? I find that staggering.
Shhesh I know
Lisa is magnificent.
Always excited for your reaction videos❤
Thanks sweetheart
Sweet Jeebus, you really need to hear The Host Of Seraphim
I had the privilege to see and hear her sing live in 1988 , at a concert of Dead Can dance . It was as if we all were in heaven for a few hours, or at least in another place and time . Mesmerizing. I'd recoomend you listen to some of the Dead Can dance music form the 80's and early nineties , very powerful !
Adrift from Twilight Kingdom is another song where Lisa just astonishes any listener. It was recorded in 2014. She’s still got it.
one of the ethereal voices of the century - Lisa omg the likes of Enya et al. if you want to go to the past like really in the past or in the realm of the spirits - she's your Gal hhehe
@Life Is Shorts Can you explain more what you mean by going into the past?
Yes you did my request! She is one of a kind.
