Great video and podcast. I think Heaven Sent is an absolute classic and a great episode of Dr Who... but maybe it is a tad overrated. Simply because of how often people say its the _best_ episode of all time. I don't think it is but that in no world makes it bad. A lot of people like to think in black and white and if you don't say its number 1 that means you think its terrible, but no, I genuinely think the episode is great while also thinking its not in the running for top 10. It is very, very good though
53:32 Except the room with the painting is the same room with the flowers. And the episode shows us the flowers resetting as the doctor is describing how the rooms reset.
The Doctor makes the castle shift three times in the episode. I think the castle only rotates three times before restarting the same three rotation cycle, meaning there are only three different possible arrangements of all the rooms in the castle. Otherwise, the different cycles of the Doctor’s clones would play out differently because the castle was in different positions. Every room resets after the Doctor leaves for long enough. But the castle is not a room and the Doctor never leaves the castle except for maybe thirty seconds when he is dead.
This man claims 2:52 ,1:44117” he laughs because he knows he does know that he does things in random order, which allows him to get the excuse of v ryrandom order”🤪🤪🤪

Exactly. There are degrees of amazing
It's such a banger you could rename that rating to "Heaven Sent."
There's a case to be made

Good interpretation. Explains why the skulls don’t reset
The Myth of Sisyphus was Albert Camus not Sartre! Sorry my inner philosophy student was irked.
