I have lived here 5 1/2 years and going to disagree with you on 90% of what you have said. Yes, we are in the foothills of the mountain, but navigating to areas such as S'burg, or Simpsonville are very doable, there are plenty of "back roads" besides the interstate; you can take Hwy 11, Wade Hampton, White Horse Rd, etc.. NEVER had an issue with cell service, and I don't have Verizon. Never seen a bear or coyote here, though I did have coyotes come through my yard numerous times when I lived off of Woodruff Rd before moving here, however, if you go to areas more rural and north, out of the city limits and closer to the mountains then yes you will have wild animals. Please do a little more research before "trashing" this great town.

The first thing is don't move here. We are full. Pass through and go to Florida. But come back anytime for a visit y'all 😊but then go home lol
They should change the name to Travelers Rush what used to be a peaceful laid back town is now crammed full of strangers and prices are sky high.
Sorry, Travelers Rest is full. Try Simpsonville instead.

TR still has so much growth happening. I do not seeing it getting over grown though
I'm out on the coast and our infrastructure is so bad I sit in packed traffic EVERY TIME I leave to go somewhere. @@livingingvl
