I have listened to them from the gate. It’s not very often I find a band ( newer to my generation )compared to the other music we listened too, like soundgarden, aic, Stevie Ray Vaughan ( best guitarist to live in my opinion ), Otis Redding .. Pink Floyd, and so on. Shinedown reminds me of my friends that were skaters but had a band and my other group of friends bullied them, until I stepped in. A woman’s words can sting, and I’m a Scorpio. We are losing Rick and roll music to the likes of Ariana Grande ( great voice, cute, but rolling around in a school girl skirt and pig tails, in a little girls room set up, yeah that’s no Madonna , sorry ) and anyone that can sell themselves w sex. Shinedown does have the sex appeal, but the music sells, not the cover of the album. Rocks gonna die like Jim Morrison predicted .. t will all be electronic music, not natural gifted musicians. Thanks Shinedown for keeping it real!

I've been going through a tough time lately and music helps a lot. A week or so ago I looked up bands that sound like Shinedown because I love his voice. I didn't find anything because, let's face it, no band sounds the same. The next day this song popped up on my Spotify. I had a weird and wonderful moment when I figured out it is Brent. My son usually dislikes my music however, he loves this song. Sounds dumb but this new project has given me hope and helped me through a tough time. I've been listening to Shinedown for decades and will continue to do so, including Smith and Meyers. I love Brent and all of the other guys and thank them sincerely and deeply. And love all their fans as well. 😉
