You got two Super brains on Gen AI ans started with a brilliant opening challenging SaaS status quo and exploring the future, but the most of the time was spent on what is SaaS and what is an Agent. Was it a 101 level conversation or an advanced one? Pick either and this would have been a great episode. Unfortunately going from what is SaaS and also defining the future tech in a single episode was over ambitious to begin with.
Man these people are hyping up random stuff for no reason. AI will not replace SaaS. It will give exponential growth to SaaS businesses now. AI will act as the middle man for a lot of companies.
Yup AI is just Marketing term for their own startup Saas product who don't implement ai chat bots will vanish but all saas products will implement ai chat bots
So the most widely used SaaS in our company(20k+ ppl) are Indian alternative to Adobe CC and payroll. Both of these are not going away. I can see most of the corporate having similar structure. For me, this talk just showed how out of touch/ground are these people.
@@pessimistic_optimismits not. I used to say the same thing as you sometime back and im slowly realising chat gpt is just one facet of what ai can do (it was likely just released to train ai Abby getting us all to use it). I'm fairly confident agents will def happen in the near future and i say this as someone whos working in the same industry. Already preparing to work for another industry now.

Tell me you have never used saas without telling me you have never used saas If you think you can build ticketing tool or crm cheaper than buying ready made saas is foolish This is just marketing term Each and every saas tool will have a ai chatbot and text generation, text rephrase capabilities
tell me that you aren't aware of ai, without telling me. As a dev, who just built a medium complex software almost 90% with AI, I promise you, you're really off base with this.
@@getdmwyou can define complexity yourself so this makes you argument anecdotal. Even at Faang/maang, ai can hardly contribute. So you stating ai helping you to build 90% says a lot about kind of work you are doing - it's not medium complex.
@@getdmw you can build complex software but I am sure this complex software will not have functionality as compared to ready made saas like SAP ERP, Salesforce, Successfactor, qliksense, etc Are you saying you built better software than SAP Salesforce at cheaper cost using AI ???
@vishnuprasad7574 yep. I am in fact saying that. Ofc It's not a one touch solution, ie "give me a sap" & boom ai has made it. You need to guide and course correct a lot. Also sap is not that complex a software from a technical pov. It just has a huge ecosystem & the business is large and complex.

I really don't see a point in your comment. The host is pretty good in holding the conversation. This is a fairly useless suggestion.
silly comment. the host does a great job of directing the conversation while touching all the key points.

People confuse business models with technology. Saas is a biz model. Software is technology. Software gets replaced by AI, but Saas continues.

It can work for smaller companies Large corporations will not accept as cost of replacement is high.
This is such a great conversation. 👍
You didn't even discuss about "AI is a business model revolution desguised as technological problem", what a waste.

Yes but only for the experience once.
very few, that too with super man abilities.
No. Product managers might.
