I know this vid is a bit old, but most cars have the option to turn off traction control. Did you try that? Then with the TC off, start off by slowly pressing the gas pedal.. this way the car gets a little bit of momentum, otherwise gunning it and forcing the wheels to spin in place gets you nowhere. I live in Chicago, and have driven through that much snow and more with a FWD car. Pretty sure the AWD charger would have done it.
+dasllamas Plow snow down. The College kids next door all had front wheel drive cars with bad tires and I was trying to flatten out as much snow as possible for them. For the lack of ground clearance I didn't do bad haha.
Tire studs add extra grip to winter tires on icy roads provided the studs where correctly installed but does nothing against snow. Your winter tires or winter focused all season tires is used for actual snow. Install tire chains if your wheels are still slipping in snow but most chains are only limited to 30 MPH.
Yeah a shovel would go a long way in this case, But some people just have no brains and just want to try to muscle there way out of a problem, come on get the shovel out and dig.
I would'nt even drive a Charger in the winter it would be in the garage until spring time. I know for certain because I'm from Wisconsin. All that unessecary tire spinning will ruin the gears in the transmission too.
+adamzeppelin I don't have a tuner. I turned it off but when off without a tuner and the 3 mode esp you can't fully disable it. I have sold Mopar vehicles for 9 years and sold this one to myself. Next year I plan to get a tuner and some snow tires and hope to get whacked by a big snow storm again so I can have a sequel to this video :)
You can by pulling the fuse but I wouldn't recommend it. Pulling the fuse disables the front and will make it rwd. Not doing that saves on tires though haha
I can't stand to watch him tear up a nice car and get nowhere doing it ! Even AWD won't get you out of 3' of snow !! And YES I can easily tell it's AWD.
Yes. This is not a Audi Quattro. This is american stupid AWD. Beautiful car, nice engine, good price! But not for snow driving. I gonna to buy same charger r/t in next month, but RWD.
Winter tires would have made a world of difference
Read the description! He was intentionally using his car as a snow plow in order to make a path for him and his neighbors to get out. What a neighbor!
Would you say it's a capable car in the snow....average snow ?

yea man this was with it off at points and on at points. I was just having fun haha
Coming from someone who lived in areas with a lot of snow for all his life: put winter tires on your car, even if it has awd.
What was he trying to accomplish in this video
Bullshit
Trying to go somewhere or just plow you drive with the charger? Love that all the neighbors cone out to watch 😝

+menschmaschine02 ha. Very nice of you. I love how these chargers handle on the snow
@ menschmaschine02 - Ahhh ever try a snow blower or a John Deere ? Might save the Chargers transmission, tires, etc, etc. ... just sayin'
if you get studded tires will it be a difference??
connie sanchez great question

I hear that cold air intake
Imagine being able to afford using a 30k vehicle as a shovel.. must be nice
Is Awd Beautiful

what they should have done is to shovel a path....dammm yall expect the car to make a way? its not a plow
I could have shoveled faster than that Charger
Jos Hop yea okay 😐😂😂😂😂
trying to drive thru 12" 15" of snow is not gonna happen with the lack of ground clearance in a awd sedan
tires???
Does the challenger come in awd?
No
It does now
Caden Brose I was just going to say that. 😂
Russ _SZN yes
Russ _SZN yes it does
You sure as hell showed them
Or decide to use what they call shovels🤦🏾♂️ but nice car
That’s the bulldozer mode in action
у них нет зимней резины ?

oh lord. why.
They drive the same as I did when I was seven
No studded tires and/or chains, stay off the snow and ice.
No a 4x4 would have made a world of difference.
needs driver mod
turn off the traction control

+adamzeppelin you cannot turn off AWD in dodge charger.

Than the power would just shift to the tire with the least traction. It would have done worse.
What a horrible display. are you plowing the driveway or going for a ride?
take a picture and call it a day lol
Man i love my charger lol i got the v6 though
I can't stand to watch him tear up a nice car and get nowhere doing it ! Even AWD won't get you out of 3' of snow !! And YES I can easily tell it's AWD.
Rusty Shackleford
Wow you mean to say you can see 4 wheels moving at once? You must be some kind of genius.
That thing sounds mean
Thank hou
Try a shovel
It's an option
Take care of your kid woman!
AWD isnt idiot proof.
Shovel'd have been faster...
هم يغرزون في الثلج وحنا نغرز في الرمل
i never would know that was awd
+devin Espinoza Then you have to be a dumbass not to see four wheel spinning. You are not a car guy move along troll
+menschmaschine02 he actually meant that .He would of never known it was awd until he saw this video.
