can you please help me! I’m having trouble with mine, they’re in my steam vr says everything is connected but once I’m in vrchat only my controllers and headset are worling
hey man ive been wondering do the vive tracker ultimates work with the quest 3? i want to get them but im scared they dont and i have a actual pc as well (if that matters)
@@shanxysmanx they do work w the quest 3 but they require pcvr atm So if you’re on stand-alone I wouldn’t suggest these until they make support for them (if they do) I’m using a quest 2 hooked up to a gaming laptop tho and they’ve been working nicely
Thank you, this helped a lot but I messed up setting up my room or my quest 2 controllers arent up to the task. Had a 4th one with my order but it was delayed. Was hoping to do continious calibration
I don't really notice any changes with tracking, no. They did release a better version of the room calibrator like a month ago, before then I had some problems with it.
Nah I made the videos after the update. The trackers are out of beta now too (for non-Vive headsets). They were in beta support for like a year I think.
Yep, gotta use the dongle. You can connect the dongle directly to the PC or use the extender included with the kit. It's a good idea to have the dongle set out in the open next to your play space, with your extender. I don't think the connection goes through walls very well.
For the past years, I have been using both the Vive Tracker 2.0 and 3.0 with various headsets (Vive, Index, Quest 2 and Quest 3). I bought the Ultimate Trackers last week - it was a bit of an impulse order, because I thought they'd be more convenient for VR sessions with the Quest 3. Oh boy, was I wrong. Space Calibrator is annoying as ever, tracking is wobbly and imprecise, in VRChat I get a lot of drift, and tracking completely fails when I lie down on my couch. The Ultimate Trackers are the most disappointing product from HTC I ever bought and I don't know what to do with them. They just don't do what I need them to do in VRChat. My guess is that they work better with the HTC headsets they were built for. But with my Index and Quest 3, I'm back to using my 3.0s - and I'm pretty annoyed that I spent so much money on trackers that I won't be using.
@@tezzya7 Can you lie down on the couch with them? With a base station tracker such as 2.0 and 3.0 that always works. Lying down with the Ultimate Trackers is wonky and bad. And what happens when you leave the play space for a second with one of your feet? For me, it completely destroys calibration and tracking is gone until I do space calibration again. Sometimes I even have to restart SteamVR.

You'll need to play off your PC to be able to use the ultimates with non-vive headsets. I have a Quest 3 and I use virtual desktop for wireless streaming, it works.
Using the quest 3 with them....calibrating them is a nightmare. Sometimes it just works, other times it takes me almost 30mins couse they dislocate each ither like 1 Meter formard on 1 tracker and 1 Meter Backwaren on the other 1.... also have to use spacecalibrator and sadly i dont see an option to calibrate each tracker sepretly which woukd make it so fucking easy
Just set mine up and it went great, good luck to the rest of ya

Couldn't have came out at a better time.
Do I have to have my computer in the room? Cause I have to connect my computer with an ethernet cable in another room
It's best to have the dongle in the same room as your play space. You'll probably need to buy a long extension cable for the dongle (it's USB C)
@ I could just buy an Ethernet cable that’s longer too…
Thank you so much for that tuto

6:40 idk why but it isn't saying that I hit the power button and I've tried on all 3 trackers
You seen some changes in the tracking after the lastes updates?

wish I have a quest pro and htc ultimate
Can’t seem to get a good calibration ever, they’re always offset. Got any tips?
@@KaiBoswell-r2q When I calibrate I hold the tracker and controller in one hand with the tracker vertical. Try that, perhaps?
Do you have to use a dongle? If so is it able to connect to the pc alone or do i have to by something else to connect the dongle

@@undercoversteve so I can plug it into the pc directly thanks! I've been having trouble finding this out.

Are you past the return window? I bought mine on amazon and they have a pretty good return policy there.
@@undercoversteve Yeah, was thinking about that. I believe I still have a few days. Still hoping that they will eventually get better, I don't know.
