I’ve been watching all your shows in every day but when I catch up on the ones I’ve missed I never watch in a specific order... but I have to say this is Rex’s best episode.
I visited that distillery. Mull is a beautiful island. I brought back a bottle of Tobermory 10 year and it was the first bottle of Scotch I ever bought.
I absolutely love this whisky, especially how the FINISH is close to how Loaphroaig 10 STARTS, one of my top 5 ( keeping in mind my busget is $100 and under CDN)
When you get something new, try putting the label up closer to the camera for a few seconds so we Magnificent Bastards can see what we might want to buy, if we get the opportunity. We aren't as up-to-speed as Daniel is, so we need some help on details like that. NOTE: sometimes putting on the CC and rewatching a section might give us the needed into, but sometimes it gets that info wrong... and so we're mislead. MB's don't like that. ;--)
I predict there will be a reprimand at the next Moochers meeting. Rex missed out on at least three fantastic whiskies that he could have enjoyed with very little effort. ( I am assuming he'd have been tall enough to retrieve the Tobermory.) I did enjoy the review, though. I've been debating about mooching the Ledaig. Based on your recommendation...I'm going for it. Your videos have had A LOT of trouble loading for me lately. Everything else in TH-cam works fine except your vids. Are the higher ups at TH-cam after you?
The Tobermory distillery has a reputation for producing bad whisky though in much the same way as Jura is, am confused 😐. Can anyone shed any light as to why it is not respected ?
More of your videos need cuts of Sarah McLachlan's beautiful voice... I will also accept, Shania Twain, Sheryl Crow and Diana Krall.... Actually I seem to remember you likening musicians to whiskies, who/what are the previous in whisky form???

I love my bottle of discount Signatory Ledaig 7 year old (2009). It was on sale. "End of bin" at Binny's. It's like campfire in a bottle.

Pronounced “Le-chaig” like the word “chain” from The Isle of Mull where the whisky is produced.

There's no way the color on that Signatory is natural.
It's sherried, i have plenty of sherried scotches that are no color added and are darker red.
