i fucking love everything you put out oh my god!!! i'm a big fan of playing around with graphic design and crafting stuff so when i saw that chapbook i went INSANE i need to make one now! and as someone who likes poetry the golden shovel is so exciting to me. i was in a writing workshop thing last summer and someone there wrote a golden shovel and it was stunning. i always go freeform since i usually write poetry about myself/my feelings/etc but i've been wanting to branch out. sorry to just word dump on your post but this video made me so excited omg i've started a book but it's literally just vibes and psychological torment so i've been having such a hard time actually Writing it and this gave me inspiration to keep going so thank you!! (can i just say the kandi harrison necklace goes so hard i need to start being my own fandom bc that is innovative man) also COUNT ME IN to the harrison cult

XD I'm afraid I'm pretty unread when it comes to poetry but I'm glad you're having a good time with it! And wow, straight into HB and SG! Looking forward to hearing how HB goes-- I guess that one's gonna be more discovery writing, huh? I may have missed you saying, but is SG fairly planned out, at least by comparison? Me, I've still got some fanfiction "commitments" to tackle. The one I've got to get done in the next few weeks covers the life of a character who was pretty much introduced and nothing ever happened with, so I have had a LOT of room to play with. Which on one hand is great because it's MY playground now, but on the other it kind of puts on the pressure to be extra thorough and like, do I have enough ideas to fill in all the blanks? aaaaa

To answer your q: yes, HB is going to be suuuper discovery-written (more so than BB, I literally have no idea what that project is going to be lol despite the very minimum that Lonan has a gender crisis & is looking for his sister HAHA), but SG will be planned a little more. I haven't really brainstormed much of it, but because it's a lil more plot-heavy, I'd like to (and also brainstorming the fantasy stuff is just a lot of fun!). I do have some handwritten notes that I took while... I was in class (lol don't tell), which I haven't looked back on, so it'll be good to transcribe those, but I don't want to start planning too much until I'm ready to write (because I don't want to build momentum if I'm not quite ready to start!). if you haven't read the poetry collection "physical" by andrew mcmillan I highly recommend it!! it's all about relationships between men (platonic and romantic) and the writing is urgent and beautiful. I studied it for my writing queerness course at university and I loved it - I think you'd get a lot out of it :)
