    Man I feel like BMW was really in a sweet spot for having the perfect mix of physical ergonomic controls in their cabin. Sad to see they went down the all touch/capacitive everything road

    • @briancorreia2923
      @briancorreia2923 หลายเดือนก่อน

      VW got a lot of criticism and eventually backtracked a bit on capacitive touch and piano black. Is this continued life for both of these maligned practices a case of deaf and blind car designers or a case of car enthusiasts exaggerating negative opinion? I’d like to add something else I’m personally going tired of, flat bottom steering wheels.

    I can't think of anything less practical than a white interior in a car. Sure it looks nice...at first. But live with it for a while and it will drive you batty trying to keep it looking clean! Now on the other hand, what could be better than a Sunday visit with the Muzio family?!😉

    • @davidmagen415

      I love white interiors. Yes it’s impractical but to me the more impractical something is , the more luxury it is. 🏖️

    After intensive research, I can confirm that Micah’s incredibly scientific method for rating armrests resulted in the same numbers for both reviews.

    This is a great vehicle in so many ways. The one to get is the 2025 550e xDrive Sedan. This new for ‘25 model is a PHEV with a 3.0-liter BMW TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder, 483 HP, and 33 miles of all electric range. The best of both worlds.

    • @robrob4355
      @robrob4355 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Where have you seen the 33miles of electric range? All the literature I’ve been able to find and videos indicate 40+?

  • @LafemmebearMusic

    Micah, Evie , did we just gently complain that bmw DID NOT put a run flat fix a kit in the trunk and instead put a spare?
    😅
    As a current bmw owner sheesh I’d love a spare tire… don’t make em change there mind lol 😂

    At this point I would rather have more controls integrated on the screen than the array of capacitor controls shown at the beginning of the video. I still prefer physical buttons for the most important functions (ie. volume and ac controls, windows and seat related options, etc).
    The use of shiny black plastic at this price is crazy. How many more reviewer complaints do companies need to hear before moving away from this practice. At this points I think even consumers have ‘learned’ about the disadvantages of it.
    This is one that I would probably pass.

  • @haze1123

    Great review. I see fewer and fewer BMW sedans on the road these days.
    It seems like Tesla is taking their customers. In my neighborhood, at least.

    • @edhcb9359
      @edhcb9359 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Look up Tesla’s buyer demographics. In general they have lower income/net worth than BMW owners and are far more likely to be single and living in a city environment.

    • @haze1123
      @haze1123 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@edhcb9359 Maybe in your area, but here not in California. I think the reason is that all new home construction is required to have solar. So all new home buyers have an EV charger in the garage. Here, the Model Y is the #1 selling car and the #1 selling luxury car over $100,000 is the Tesla Model S. They're freaking everywhere.

    My 2006 530xi touring cost $52k new (I didn't buy it new), so the price isn't as out of line as it seems for these. And I bet the sunroof and taillights don't leak into the battery compartment, then the space under the spare tire where the ECUs are... and fry the ECUs, and the battery sometimes too.

    Those interior surfaces and a lack of quality buttons means this BMW has a low rent interior. Kia's are better! My New 2025 Base Camry at 28k is half the price of this BMW and unless you're vain you'd have to agree the Camry at 53 MPG is far superior to this status imagination car.

    Like the interior design with more scientific touches of current BMW 5 series as opposed to their predecessor, G30 platform. However, I think the interior material of this generation is somewhat far too plastiky and the materials used in the Interior are cheaper than G30 (leatherette used instead of genuine leather) so not a Fan of them.

You know, when you are zipping along an LA freeway at 5 mph, you just can't take your hand off the wheel to scratch it. C'mon BMW, get with it! 😂

    7:00 As I know from driving a new 2 series last year, there is no other way than Sport mode to turn it off which is quite annoying. Fortunately my own car still has a button for that.
