If I listened to Jomo kenyatta and Moi I would be among the richest men in Kenya today (UNEDITED)

  • Human rights activist Koigi Wamwere shares details of his struggles with the first two Presidents of the republic of Kenya. At one point, he was promised a substantial piece of land which was taken away after he 'talked too much' in parliament... It gets even more interesting when he shares an experience from Kamiti Maximum Prison where former Tinderet MP, Seronei, could not speak for 3 years straight after one statement from President Moi to prison guards.

Now that chinese ndio watakuja kuwa our Next Slave masters. Na we still under economic oppression upto date. The Africans who were ruling Independent Africa were all shortchanged at the economic negotiations. legends like Koigi inspire the few kenyan youths who are still in the struggle, who know that whoever gives you Freedom can always Take it back. Wale vijana wako bado slumber endeleeni na kulala, hio hewa mnaendelea kubreathe for free might at the turntables not even be given to you. Your voices do count a lot.

@@hdeegithinji2191 My point is, it's offensive to say that you like it when you hear of people who are willing to fight and DIE. Some who died didn't go in looking to DIE, much like Koigi they were hoping reason would prevail and right would reign over might. Many spoke up (men like Muge etc) only ot be killed, today their families bear the lasting effects of that loss be it economically or psychologically, in the meantime for most Kenyans life goes on, they are doing very little to contribute to their own salvation.

Wow! That was so immature of Dr. Kingori. The interview went on well until the 'kufinywa' part. You didn't have to mention such a traumatic event so insensitively. Some of these atrocities stick with someone for their entire lifetime. Thank you Koigi for fighting for our liberation. To Dr. Kingori, my criticism doesn't underscore the fact that you always bring interesting guests to the show. It is all with good intention and a learning moment for you. Keep up the good work.
