- Welcome! In this video we will learn the C - F - G7 chord progression and we will also learn two songs that we could use with this lesson.
In order to play C chord correctly, please use your ring finger.
Play F chord with your index and middle fingers.
Play G7 with your index, middle, and ring fingers
Slide your ring finger from its position in G7 to go back to C chord.

How long should I practice? 5 minutes 4 times a day.
Why not just practice 20 minutes? I find that my students retain information and build muscle memory much better when we practice more often in shorter spans of time! Practice every day until I release the next video.

Bernadette... I don’t think I’ve ever commented on a TH-cam video before. But oh my goodness I love you!! You are an awesome teacher and you are so sweet. I love how your videos are so quick and the way you explain things!! I seriously feel like you’re teaching me in person and talking to me. Around 1:19 I wasn’t paying attention and trying to put my fingers on the chords and you said “watch me, watch me,” and I looked up, it felt so real that you were teaching/talking to me haha! I try not to skip any of the ads and watch them all the way through, hope that’s enough repayment for now for the lessons you give us ❤️❤️
How is the strumming pattern??
C chord- down, cut, up
Then right into
F chord- down,up,cut
Then switch to
G7-up,up,cut,up,up,cut

Excellent really well explained for 2 songs with the same chords thankyou for your videos. only being playing for 4 weeks and I am really hooked at 59 thought I would try learning an instrument glad I choose up the ukulele.

I (a true ukulele beginner) really enjoy watching your videos and learning under your guidance :-) even these two songs were the ones I would have loved to master ... There ist just one thing... what if you try sing with your normal voice? I mean your voice when speaking is so smooth and natural but this singing seems to be a little bit too high (unnecessarily) ;-) just a question. Why wouldn’t you play it through and go over strum pattern?
I felt the same way. According to my ears it sounds like this:
C: DXU
F: DUX
G7: U-UXU-UXU

+Kevin glad you like this progression. It's so so easy to memorize and it's GREAT practice for moving from F to G7. Once people get past that hurdle, the next hurdle is barre chords.
