Thanks for being the only car reviewer that has mentioned in detail the shortcomings of the 12v system. When it was first unveiled and heard it was coming with the 12v system I commented back then in just about every video that covered it that this system was basically in Suzuki's old parts bin. As you correctly stated it can only do start stop, that system is best used for long idling which saps alot of fuel. The thing is Suzuki's engines are very efficient especially the k15b and k15c, so putting a hybrid on it doesnt normally make a huge difference. Still, Suzuki Philippines succeeded in their goal of having the cheapest hybrid 7 seater in the market at the expense of having a slightly better hybrid system.
Ertiga's (and XL7's) edge comes from the excellent NVH. There's simply nothing on its price category that can match how quiet and smooth Ertiga is: not the Livina/XPander, and especially not the "panay-pa-pogi-lang" and very noisy and rumbly Veloz/Avanza. Great NVH is a definite must especially to us who daily drive SLEX(or NLEX). I'm more than happy to have given away "Pogi" looks and tech for the comfort of Ertiga. 😇🙏
Yung sinasabi mo na Panay pa pogi eh fully pack with safety features like 7 airbags, safety sensor, auto emergency break, lane keeping assist kahit wag mo hawakan manibela sa highway susundan nya Yung linya sa kalsada parang auto pilot, kawawa ka naman nakabili Ka Ng fake hybrid 🥲😬
So what should they call it? Mild means gentle or in this case little. It’s not a market savy to name it as little hybrid. If it’s called semi hybrid then it means it has a larger volts for the electric and still have a fuel function. Lastly we also have full electric. So where’s the confusion my friend?
No center mirror adjustment no speed sensing door locks no alarm just bought a Suzuki ertigua GLX 2024 and that's the 3 locking of the car but so far it's fun to drive cool aircon
The thing about Ertiga is it never looks that good on videos or pictures. It's not photogenic shall we say. But man, once you see it in real life, it's actually quite good, even more so its sibling the XL7. If it only looks "Pogi" on videos, it might sell better. Suzuki needs to work on that if they want to sell more. I barely see other Ertiga's on the road (rarer still the XL7), while almost every other MPV is an XPander! XPander is turning out to be the Vios of MPVs. 🤣
I think Suzuki nailed it when it comes to the definition of being a Hybrid as we can see they qualified. Their simplistic approach of this system is very safe and well thought especially when it comes to the definition of Being a Good Car which is a Car that can take you from point A to point B. Good job Suzuki Team.....I am planning to buy one ❤❤❤❤
I think the Manual ertiga mild hybrid would b more fuel efficient. because the electric motor will help the engine in low rpm which will remove jerking and smoothen clutching. hoping to have ertiga mild hybrid manual transmission review on how it feels.
Thank you, the 9:29 mark convinced me not to get this. I'm looking for a hybrid vehicle for our daily school commute, 1 driver, 1 hs and 2 gs students. Due to the traffic situation of sundo and hatid its a no-brainer to get a hev, but which one?
yes, it will run as a normal car... this suzuki ertiga hybrid has 2 batteries: one regular car battery and one lithium ion battery... they are independent of each other
Thanks Reygan for the detailed review. Was curious of how mild is the hybrid-ness of this new but not so new ertiga. Now its as if suzuki sprinkled a bit of electrification and called it a hybrid but mild only 😂
great review pointing out that this is not a true hybrid. it's a very dishonest move from suzuki to label this as "hybrid", when all it does more over a regular ICE vehicle is to have a start stop system. the additional HP from the alternator is dubious, as that is not connected to the transmission. the additional HP over the previous generation could have been due to the ICE tuning rather than the alternator.
At 12V, this is a mild version of a mild hybrid. The rest are mostly 48v like Okavango, Azkarra, and certainly Ertiga is not a HEV. This is just that Suzuki succeeded to convince LTO that Ertiga is Hybrid implying full hybrid.
I believe there was a memo from DOE that states mild hybrid vehicles does not qualify for coding exemption under the EVIDA law. The DOE points to the provision in the law that defines EVs as "Vehicles with at least 1 electric drive for vehicle propulsion" as to the reason why mild hybrid vehicles do not qualify for the coding exemption.
I am almost tempted to leave this vlog. Pare, ever heard of women drivers who wants to know about cars? Just really interested in this car so I stayed. If not, I wouldn’t have stayed, Pare.

Boss pag nabihisan ang ertiga 2nd gen/hybrid ng ertiga sports body kits. Napakapogi haha.
Innova better. Next.
@@everminenowin its price range nga ang hina naman talaga ng pagintindi.

Great honest review! I almost fell to the "Mild-Hybrid" marketing BS. Thanks for testing it for all of us!

Mild basically minor.
@@boboboy8189 you're right

I have the GLX Ertiga for 2mos now and I am only getting 9.7km/l...It is not really fuel efficient.
I was able to test drive this, the acceleration is slightly better off from a stop

Although its a mild hybrid asbyou claim..but stull its a hybrid thing
..and it is passed by LTO criteria..for coding exemption..
with all the car tech available, Suzuki still didn't include a center arm rest to their top variant. sad...

Simpleng buhay lang - KISS baby!!!
Good review!
Is this like the Okavango?
If we change those tires to an aftermarket 17" wheels/rims, Will it affect the performance of the vehicle?

Choices now are Yaris Cross HEV, Nissan Kicks or Haval Jolion HEV.
Can I convert my 2021 Ertiga into Hybrid?
Series, Parallel and Plug-In 'types'
Hanep sa review as always
If the hybrid battery broke/runs out will the car still runs?
yes, it will run as a normal car... this suzuki ertiga hybrid has 2 batteries: one regular car battery and one lithium ion battery... they are independent of each other
a little sad how mild the hybrid approach is, 12V battery. :D
That's probably the reason why it's cheaper because of less safety features compared to other MPV brand.
Innova or 2020 Avanza better. Next.
Wala naman sila sa listahan ng Hybrid sa LTO
pa review po ng MAZDA 3

Hey dud! Okavango in less than 2M
But still significantly more than this.
Please give figures in English also....
Thanks, Reygan, for clearing the air: this Ertiga is not a true hybrid. Their marketing is misleading.
Its a very mild hybrid but still a hybrid.
It is a hybrid by definition whether you like it or not.

Yung ertiga mild hybrid dito sa cebu nilalangaw. Nagkakaoverstock sila dito kasi walang bumibili. 😂
