👏👏 Interesting. The simplicity of the 2CV is amazing. Seems so easy to get to engine parts when fenders and hood are off. For a moment there I was afraid you were on the wrong side of the road! Always nice to see a bit of London.
Dead easy. I've never been deeper into that engine than the ancillaries, but I'd love to take more substantial bits of it apart in the future. It's a very forgiving design to learn on.
Nice video, pity whilst you were there with the rocker covers off you didnt adjust the valve clearences, if they havent been adjusted in the last 10 years it would have made a great diference to the running of your car.
Thanks! That's the top end of Portobello road for ya, it's mostly pedestrianised but the line is a bit blurry between where it starts and ends so tourists tend to just walk on without realising that they're joining the traffic again. Didn't notice her at the time but I had a bit of a chuckle in the edit
Haha. I swear people make more of a fuss because it’s a 2cv though lol...as if we should be expected to stop because we look slow or something...same with cars pulling out, get it all the time lol 🙄😂
yours is like brand new inside compared with my 1974 reniflard, mine is like a 500 grams of black sugar, solid residue.. the rubers are like stone.., the pictures are creepy inside.. poor engine works like old grumpy engine but never let me on the route.. You have to make the reniflard test manometer, find that there are guides on how to make it with a hose and a wood. www.doscaballos.org/como-verificar-un-reniflard/
Greetings from Germany. I did the same restoration work and I only can say that the Burton device ist awesome and in fact reduced the dripping of oil.
An easy job I did on mine, was to reposition the wiper arms so the blades park on the other side, better view for the driver.
Great video
