@BusterBunker Huh, didn't know about the Su.24 airframe being disappointing, I mean during the Cold War it was considered a top of the line aircraft and a great threat to NATO...wasn't it?
@BusterBunker They didn't copy, they were making at the same time roughly, but i believe the engines delayed the project. But i also heard that satellites took pictures of the development SU-24 and copied the cockpit design. Also you can't really be surprised if General Dynamics did copy Sukhoi as Lockheed Martin did copy the Yak-141 which if it did went into production in my opinion would of been the best fighter in the 20th century.
Какая птица,-смертоносная и красивая!.. Какой-там "Backfire"?..Хотя,кому-то может и "back"..)) Но это ведь- хищный коршун! Короче-смертельная красота...
I'm really not quite sure what you are saying. Are you saying neither copied? Or, are you saying General Dynamics copied Sukhoi? The F-111A flew in 1964. The Su-24 flew in 1967. Therefore, I find it hard to believe General Dynamics copied Sukhoi. On the other hand, In my opinion, the Su-24 may have some of the characteristics of the F-111, but its performance does not come close. It is very well known the Su-24 is a rather disappointing airframe. If anything, Sukhhoi copied and did a bad job.
What are you even talking about? The Tu-22M first flew years before the B-1. You are getting confused with the Tu-160 and even then you don' t know what you're talking about.
I must admit, I have always been infatuated by the TU-22M3. Very cool aircraft. Probably my favorite behind the new SU-34.
They are legit passing around a model of an F-111 Aardvark at 0:11 that is hilarious!
World-class (reverse) engineering
A great insight into this amazing aircraft, thanks for posting.
@BusterBunker It was in development roughly the same time, there was too little time for the Russians to copy the F-111.
@BusterBunker It is planes of different classes.

English subtitles would have helped to get the best of this video!👍🏻👍🏻
@TheTomyossarian I like the part that this has nothing to do with the F-111 and they're using the design of the TU-22 and the F-111 copied the Su-24.
Those 2 aircraft have *nothing* to do with each other, other than having a misfortune of both having been overproduced for Cold War.
I like the part where they're using the F-111 model for their design.

No, I'm pretty sure the Su-24 copied the F-111. The F-111 was built before the Su-24.
