I totally agree. The manner in which he spoke tells me he has outdated rigid ideals in that it's the woman's role to clean, take care of the house, the kids. He seems petty. He complained but he could have put down the camera and pick up a sponge, and why would he allow it to get to that level of dirty. Maybe clean together. Weird.

So yes, their individual bills became their joint bills, but combining their lives does not mean that one person has to carry them both while the other doesn't contribute anything. When I left school years ago, one of my first jobs was janitorial - cleaning public restrooms and toilets in pubs and restaurants (believe me, cleaning the toilets in a pub after several drunk guys have been in there was a challenge since most of them 'missed' either the urinal or pan, but the pay was very good so it was worth it (it was also necessary and had to be done in accordance with health regulations) - I'd like to see the defendant do something like I did then she'd have at least some reason to complain about "cleaning bathrooms" including her own! I did everything in the house and worked and put my ex-husband through school..... I didn't mind because he was studying. Once he graduated and got a job I noticed he still wasn't doing anything. Asked him to help out a little. I left the garbage in the kitchen to see how long it would be before he decided to take it out.... He didn't. The bags piled up. Thought he would mow the lawn.... I ended up doing it... it bothered me more than it did him. Folks, if you start in a relationship doing everything for your husband believe me it's going to be hard to get him to do something different. Are we married now... Nah ahh!!! hell no! As we just saw, they are not original, Judges see it all the time and are a wake up. My husband tried things like this on me. I gave him credit for what he did, and he tried to make me out to be the worst mother in the world and the Judge even said in the case, that as I had given him some credit and he gave me none, I was more credible. Not only did I get custody, be he only had supervised access due to his alcohol issues.

I never took him to court for support, we were never married and so we had no custody agreement. She was just always with me. When I left him he told me if we couldn't be together he wasn't going to be a Dad. So I let him me. He found out that I finally moved on married and got pregnant. My daughter was in kindergarten he went to her school and took her for 10 days. He went to court and lied. Told them that he had custody and that he let me take her for a visit and I never brought her back. How he didn't go to jail I have no clue. The courts gave her back to me. I went to pick her up and the school said her Dad picked her up early. I freaked out bc I didn't know he had her or if it was him who had her bc he never picked her up ever from daycare, preschool, or kindergarten. I found out she was with him and the next morning went to a lawyer. Took ten days to get it in court and they gave her back to me that day.

He went 5 yrs with no child support to being put on it by the courts. He was mad! He never saw my daughter again. He didn't keep his visits and he went back to not caring once he realized he wasn't getting cs. He is a bum. He never kept a job. To this day doesn't keep a job. It's crazy. We are in our 30s' now. Still hasn't changed.

You put them in a safe place that you can see them and get to work. Then when they need to eat or just want attention you make sure you do that. The baby is usually sleep most of the day then when toddler age you give them things to keep to keep them busy and have there attention for at least 30mins at a time

My ex wife left me when she became pregnant by another man. We had a 2 year old together at the time. I was crushed but seriously, what was being an ass and throwing a fit going to do but make our 2 year old miserable. His life was far more important than my ego. The ex and I would get together to take our son, plus my son from a previous relationship, to the park for birthdays and special occasions. When she married the father of her 2nd child I always talked to my son about his stepfather as if the stepfather was my friend. I never said a negative word about either one or any of the situation. It's 20 years later and my son is a very well adjusted, smart, successful and happy young man. It's all about the kids folks, and if you're a dad you need to remember that more than anything else.

I understand what the judge is saying about “what does that say about you-“ I mean... both of them... are just as slack. He lived in it with her and she allowed her child to live that way. Him taking pictures during it seemed like he wanted the attention or something or was talking terrible about her all throughout. The whole thing is odd.
My ex husband did that to me. Weirdo would take pictures of the dishes piled up or the bathroom untidy while I was AT WORK or going to night school trying to support all of us going from 2 salaries to 1 because he was laid off a year prior and we were going through divorce but I didn’t want to put him on the street because he was the father of my children. He took those pics and tried spinning it like I wasn’t keeping up with the house and absolutely tried sharing it with anyone who would listen, both “friends” and eventually his lawyers. It’s so easy to talk about those images without considering what may have happened behind them. Sometimes depression doesn’t let you get up out of bed or practice self-care much less have the energy to spend taking care of 2 children and a house with a husband who would rather take pics than pitch in and clean, regardless of if he works or not.

When I wasn’t working for 6 months I kept my boyfriends house in tip top shape and made sure there was always dinner on the table since I wasn’t paying rent and wasn’t working.

I had a bf once who wanted me to sign off on a car for him because he had bad credit. I knew I wouldn't be able to pay for it if he didn't come through with the payment, & he already had a bad habit of calling me in the middle of the night from another city because his ride left him after he had gotten drunk. I told him "NO!" more than once. He finally gave up & left. I never had to worry about him bothering me in the middle of the night, nor for signing off for a car for him again. And that was that!

No, I do that in the shower, too. But I clean up after myself. Loose hairs come out while washing my hair and to keep them from clogging the drain I stick them to wall. When I'm done with my shower I pick them up and throw them out. It's not hard to clean that up. The fact that the hair is there shows she's too lazy to even grab her own hair off the wall let alone actually clean the shower. Gross.

Judge made a big mistake by saying everything that the plaintiff gave to his ex was a gift or support. Couples make loans to each other, and are owed. It is really injustice when someone shirks their debt by claiming to be a couple.
When there is a baby involved you ARE a couple and within a couple you don't lend money to each other, it's all part of being a couple, it's called household expenses. If he can claim a loan, then she can claim babysitting fees 24/7 for the next 18 years...

I was constantly cleaning up behind another grownup and that ish got old really fast. I would take pictures of the messes that were left behind as well as after I cleaned it. Idk when or where that proof would come in handy but I had it. Sometimes I would let the mess accumulate just to see if they would clean it; they didn’t… even when I would point it out it was always, “oh I was going to do that later” or “I’m busy”. I learned from watching peoples court and judge Judy… Now, the relationship I’m in… I do buy her things as gifts… when she asks for money for something or for money to help pay for HER personal bills… I write everything down and she signs and initials everything. My wife sticks her hair to the bathroom wall like that. So what I did was redo the shower with a massive whole for the drain, with guards that catch it and all she has to do it remove the drain and dispose of the hair. When I first saw it, I wanted a divorce, it was do disgusting.

Relationship or not, if they aren’t on the same insurance plan and they have their own… if someone pays my insurance for them, I expect to pay them back… if someone pays for my legal fees in a court case, I’d expect to pay them back. Yes, he messed up by not making it clear that she should pay him back, but she messed up by being the type of person that doesn’t think she has to pay someone back for paying HER bills… It’s different if they split bills and she doesn’t have all of it and he covers THEIR bills… it’s a different thing to pay her personal bills separately.
Both of them are lazy and nasty. It's not hard to clean up after yourself and deep clean on weekends. My boyfriend works and still will put up dinner and clean the kitchen if I fall asleep before I clean up. He takes the trash out when it's full. He fixes or builds things if I need him to. He also works 6 days a week 12hr days. I don't ask him or need him to do house stuff bc he works hard so I can stay home and take care of everything here and 2 kids that's not even his. I appreciate everything he does and I try to take care of everything I can so he doesn't have to.

When I left school years ago, one of my first jobs was janitorial - cleaning public restrooms and toilets in pubs and restaurants (believe me, cleaning the toilets in a pub after several drunk guys have been in there was a challenge since most of them 'missed' either the urinal or pan, but the pay was very good so it was worth it (it was also necessary and had to be done in accordance with health regulations) - I'd like to see the defendant do something like I did then she'd have at least some reason to complain about "cleaning bathrooms" including her own! As we just saw, they are not original, Judges see it all the time and are a wake up. My husband tried things like this on me. I gave him credit for what he did, and he tried to make me out to be the worst mother in the world and the Judge even said in the case, that as I had given him some credit and he gave me none, I was more credible. Not only did I get custody, be he only had supervised access due to his alcohol issues.

I never took him to court for support, we were never married and so we had no custody agreement. She was just always with me. When I left him he told me if we couldn't be together he wasn't going to be a Dad. So I let him me. He found out that I finally moved on married and got pregnant. My daughter was in kindergarten he went to her school and took her for 10 days. He went to court and lied. Told them that he had custody and that he let me take her for a visit and I never brought her back. How he didn't go to jail I have no clue. The courts gave her back to me. I went to pick her up and the school said her Dad picked her up early. I freaked out bc I didn't know he had her or if it was him who had her bc he never picked her up ever from daycare, preschool, or kindergarten. I found out she was with him and the next morning went to a lawyer. Took ten days to get it in court and they gave her back to me that day.

He went 5 yrs with no child support to being put on it by the courts. He was mad! He never saw my daughter again. He didn't keep his visits and he went back to not caring once he realized he wasn't getting cs. He is a bum. He never kept a job. To this day doesn't keep a job. It's crazy. We are in our 30s' now. Still hasn't changed.

You put them in a safe place that you can see them and get to work. Then when they need to eat or just want attention you make sure you do that. The baby is usually sleep most of the day then when toddler age you give them things to keep to keep them busy and have there attention for at least 30mins at a time

My ex wife left me when she became pregnant by another man. We had a 2 year old together at the time. I was crushed but seriously, what was being an ass and throwing a fit going to do but make our 2 year old miserable. His life was far more important than my ego. The ex and I would get together to take our son, plus my son from a previous relationship, to the park for birthdays and special occasions. When she married the father of her 2nd child I always talked to my son about his stepfather as if the stepfather was my friend. I never said a negative word about either one or any of the situation. It's 20 years later and my son is a very well adjusted, smart, successful and happy young man. It's all about the kids folks, and if you're a dad you need to remember that more than anything else.

My ex husband did that to me. Weirdo would take pictures of the dishes piled up or the bathroom untidy while I was AT WORK or going to night school trying to support all of us going from 2 salaries to 1 because he was laid off a year prior and we were going through divorce but I didn’t want to put him on the street because he was the father of my children. He took those pics and tried spinning it like I wasn’t keeping up with the house and absolutely tried sharing it with anyone who would listen, both “friends” and eventually his lawyers. It’s so easy to talk about those images without considering what may have happened behind them. Sometimes depression doesn’t let you get up out of bed or practice self-care much less have the energy to spend taking care of 2 children and a house with a husband who would rather take pics than pitch in and clean, regardless of if he works or not.

I told him "NO!" more than once. He finally gave up & left. I never had to worry about him bothering me in the middle of the night, nor for signing off for a car for him again. And that was that!

No, I do that in the shower, too. But I clean up after myself. Loose hairs come out while washing my hair and to keep them from clogging the drain I stick them to wall. When I'm done with my shower I pick them up and throw them out. It's not hard to clean that up. The fact that the hair is there shows she's too lazy to even grab her own hair off the wall let alone actually clean the shower. Gross.

Ehhh saying “the pictures prove he was just as nasty” isn’t as clean cut of an argument as people may think. I know I’ve had a similar issue in the past. I was constantly cleaning up behind another grownup and that ish got old really fast. I would take pictures of the messes that were left behind as well as after I cleaned it. Idk when or where that proof would come in handy but I had it. Sometimes I would let the mess accumulate just to see if they would clean it; they didn’t… even when I would point it out it was always, “oh I was going to do that later” or “I’m busy”. How are you too busy to help maintain a mess you contributed to equally if not more!? Not saying this is in fact the case with these two, just saying there’s alternative possibilities as to why he took the pics.

I have a feeling the boyfriend let the house get that bad as a form of protest. He was working and expected her to clean. He probably thought she'd get disgusted by the messiness and filth, but she clearly didn't care.

He lived in that filth but didn't bother to clean it either. Who cares if he worked outside the home? Then hire someone to come in and get rid of that mess if it bothers him that much. My wife sticks her hair to the bathroom wall like that. So what I did was redo the shower with a massive whole for the drain, with guards that catch it and all she has to do it remove the drain and dispose of the hair. When I first saw it, I wanted a divorce, it was do disgusting.
Not the kind of guy to be in a relationship with. Suddenly everything is counted down to the penny once it stops working out. People get frustrated with their partners but I would never tell a judge " well judge i had to follow him around with a vacuum because his hair shed like crazy, and he never helped do dishes even though I cooked and cleaned and did all the housework" Serious?

Relationship or not, if they aren’t on the same insurance plan and they have their own… if someone pays my insurance for them, I expect to pay them back… if someone pays for my legal fees in a court case, I’d expect to pay them back.
Yes, he messed up by not making it clear that she should pay him back, but she messed up by being the type of person that doesn’t think she has to pay someone back for paying HER bills…
It’s different if they split bills and she doesn’t have all of it and he covers THEIR bills… it’s a different thing to pay her personal bills separately.

Both of them are lazy and nasty. It's not hard to clean up after yourself and deep clean on weekends. My boyfriend works and still will put up dinner and clean the kitchen if I fall asleep before I clean up. He takes the trash out when it's full. He fixes or builds things if I need him to. He also works 6 days a week 12hr days. I don't ask him or need him to do house stuff bc he works hard so I can stay home and take care of everything here and 2 kids that's not even his. I appreciate everything he does and I try to take care of everything I can so he doesn't have to.
