Can I just say Australia blew a chance to confirm the ashes today. They had us 107-2 at lunch and end the day 299-8. Based on what i saw today an the fact the Aussies didn’t pick a spinner if this match was going to make 5 days I think we would’ve won it. Just unlucky a top series between 2 juggernauts is going to be decided by some rain days 4 and 5.
They’re horrible playing the short ball. I never thought I’d ever say this for Aussie batsmen. Only Warner and Marsh are god short ball players. In fact, they both are legendary but at the top of the order, Warner is a walking wicket

If Australia can bat for an hour tonight/tomorrow etc I think they can retain the Ashes in this test just due to there being only 210 overs for 3 innings and Australia can easily bleed overs through slow overrates.
England and Australia went toe to toe in the 1st day. Everytime there was a 50+ partnership or near, they were broken. Everytime there was 40+,50 scores by batsmen they were dismissed. The competitive show put on in the Ashes fascinates me everytime❤❤❤
