I managed to find a phone compatible with the app, and here's the thing. It won't work for the most updated switch that would be the 12. Version, not compatible with the app anymore if you updated your switch. The creator of Joycon Droid for now is working on how to keep up, so we'll just have to wait.

I can use my Xiaomi POCO X3 as a controller cause it has bluetooth HID but it fails when trying to read amiibo.

In the application it says that it is not compatible with Xiaomi and others because it is in beta, the POCO x3 is from xiaomi.

@@lukecontador the way I got mine to work was downloading in the app store the Bluetooth HID Tester and the Joycon Droid apps, then when you're about to connect the controller in the switch, you gotta open that sync page in the switch, right? The "manage controllers" or smth. So, when you do that, press the sync button in the phone, but when the pop up shows up, press B in the switch to leave the sync room, and then press Ok in the phone. Seems, to me, that any pop up in the switch or smth disconnects the phone from it, so that's how I get mine to work, but it's not guaranteed. Also, everytime I try to use the amiibo and it doesn't work, I close the app and rechoose the villager file then try again. Sometimes restarting the phone also works. But you know, it's not guaranteed, they have a disclaimer for that, but hope it works for yoy

some phones aren't compatible with the joydroid nfc function sadly :(

Hello! Does this method still work? My joycon droid stopped working it won't connect to the switch no matter what ... Please, does anyone knows about this? And I cannot reinstall it the app is no longer on app store nor on any link.

Hi! I’ve managed to get to the nook stop, where it asks you to prepare the amiibo. But once the screen with the remote comes up, it times out and doesn’t instantly find the amiibo files like yours. I also noticed that after this point, the controller disconnects. After it timed out an error appears. After downloading your files I ended up using (win)RAR to unzip the files to get to the point you were at when you were setting the NFC binary path. Let me know if there’s a solution to this. Thanks in advance
It happens to me too sometimes. I have to restart my device, remove all devices connected on my phone and try to reconnect again. Yeah it sucks, the app is still needs improvement and updates 😊

I solved it by just restarting my Samsung and made sure that no device was connected via Bluetooth except the switch.

So my switch keeps saying amiibo not found. Is it a problem with my .bin files or the compatability between my phone and the app?

Note that this no longer works as of Version 13 and up. You'll need to Root your Android device

it worked for me after hourssss of trying. basically instead of hitting ok when it asks to pair, hit the home button on your switch so you exit the change grip page then hit ok on your phone to pair! what i can't get to work is calling the amiibo though...

@@Bouchami206 btw you need to root you phone if your Nintendo switch software is 12.0 and above, as stated in the JoyCon droid site

@@Bouchami206 you can go to their site they give a good explanation about rooting if you need help there is plenty of tutorials on yt but to avoid all the hassle you could use NFC tags and use it as a amiibo

UPDATE: to those with the problem of your phone disconnecting after you press the right button, there is a work around. Instead of accepting to pairing to the switch in the pairing menu, hit the home button and then accept!

Hi! Make sure that your phone is not trying to connect with any other bluetooth devices. You can go to bluetooth settings, check all the paired devices and remove the pairing. Lmk if there are still problems 😊

Hi! You can first go to my files - downloads - zip folder then click extract. Once okay, go back to the joycon app and it will show up. Let me know if there are still problems 😊
@@KikayGaming still won't show up. When I download it it says file is not supported. When I extract the zip it goes to documents. Do I need to extract it somewhere else? Do I need to edit a setting to tell joycon to look in a specific folder for the zip?

Try to move tye extracted folder from documents to the same folder of "All Villagers of Animal Crossing" from Downloads then try to run the Joycon App again. If still not working, try to download and install Files by Google App from Playstore. Click browse and extract it from there. Make sure that the location of the extracted folder is within the All Villagers folder from Downloads. 😊

The apks are online but it's probably patched. The amiibos are a paid collectibles, this wasn't going to last that long anyway
