Absolute genius! It's ridiculous how Shopify doesn't allow automatic discounts on a customer tag basis. This fixed my issue and saved me 10$ a month! Thanks! Subbed!
Thank you! One question: If a customer without such tag, manually enters the code, will it be applied too? Ideally that should be avoided

Great Video! Thanks. What if you had multiple VIP tags ie. vip1, vip2 vip3. How would you handle this? Multiple if/then/else statements or is there a case statement?
Thanks Kenneth. There is a case statement in liquid. www.shopify.ca/partners/blog/89993606-how-to-use-liquids-case-when-control-tags-in-shopify-themes you can use multiple conditions as well by using and customer.tags contains ‘vip2’

Hi Jody, your video is very helpful, I am having 4 discount tiers for my customers, and want to disable all online payment because we take bank deposit and i want to do it only after i pick up the parts in the order with an accurate invoice ready. Do you have any videos related to this ?

I assume you mean a collection page as well as a product page. So say customers tagged VIP. Can browse a private collection and see the products.

Hey Jody, great video! I am wondering if this still works? I followed your steps exactly but the discount code does not get automatically applied, and if a non-tagged customer uses that code it still allows them to. Is there any way around this?

Hi Jody, is there any way to create an automatic discount for tagged customers to get 4 products from a specific collection per month for absolutely free....their subscription will be renewed on subscription app and I will use that tag to create specific segment of customers, the limit that stops me to have a system that allows this automatic discount being used only once...
Hi Inam. This sounds very complex. I would recommend simplifying your business logic. The more complicated something is the less people will buy it and the more that can go wrong.
