Let's Celebrate 25 de Abril for

This past Thursday was the 50th anniversary of 25 de Abril! 🇵🇹🌺
Also known as the #carnation Revolution, 25 de Abril was a military coup by military officers that overthrew the authoritarian Estado Novo government, Europe’s longest fascist dictatorship, on April 25, 1974 in Lisbon. This produced major social, economic, territorial, demographic, and political changes in Portugal and its overseas colonies and ushered the beginning of democracy for Portugal. 🎉
As it was the 50th anniversary, there was a lot of celebrating and we were happy to partake in some of the festivities in Faro!
Congrats, Portugal! Viva a Liberdade! I am excited to see what the next 50 years will bring for Portugal. 🤩
