@DaveDexterMusic some of the battles with tiny formations of men and the mediocre wound special effects kind of pull me out of it but it's still pretty good
@@Roddy556 The last three or four episodes of the original Sharpe series were produced in a similar fashion. It takes away from the feel of the battles but doesn't hurt the story telling.
And one episode in the Iberian campaign I had wish they made was when sharp meets his old French officer when he was a spy in India(best co he ever had according to sharpe).
Thankfully this is not cannon. Lucile is alive and well living in the north of france. Pat n Sharpe went to south america had a wee adventure and then went home again. And lived a nice quiet live. Pat had his pub Sharpe has his wee farm.
What a shame that the production costs of Sharpe weren't at least quadrupled when they made them all that time ago; I love the stories and acting but the BBC (I think) really missed a trick as they could have been really epic shows
Fantastic series used to look forward to every episode. Such a shame Sean did not get a stint as James Bond but of course he had a Yorkshire accent did not fit in, yet they let Scot and Irish take the part.
@@christinee3126 So the guy on the left at 0:59 was not Sharpe? I guess I should have noticed the different uniform from usual. I was focused on the face and the voice, and I really thought that was Sean Bean!
Is it me...and I know the books backwards...or is this just a mish mash? Starts when Sharpe was a Sgt in 33rd then he's a Riflenan in India where he never served as a Rifleman then back to Dodd? What's going on?
Upon sighting a new Sharpe video had been uploaded I immediately stopped what I was doing & watched promptly & without delay! That's my style sir!!!!
You took the words off of my keyboard, Sir
Your friends in court will be well impressed sir!
It's funny you should say that... I have a cousin at Horse Guards
That’s soldiering!
Me too ! You beat me to it.
Sharpe and Harper catching up and having a casual conversation in the middle of an attack....that's soldiering.
30 minutes of the best bits of Sharpe's Challenge in one compendium?
That's highlighting.
How is it that a made for TV series on a very small budget is somehow better than any multimillion-dollar epic out of Hollywood?
Start with a great story, tell it right, use great actors and you'll have a great movie.
Talent
now, is it *really* or is it just fairly good but carrying decades of nostalgia for you

I feel really bad for the stuttering officer. He looks like he could have been a good officer.
In his next life.
@@Michele10Greincarnated as an EOD officer in Afghanistan.
So this is what Captain Flint was doing after Black Sails...now that's Pirating 😂
Sharpe attached the dude to the throne with his sword. Now that’s soldering.
I say old boy, jolly good with the new Sharpe upload
I used to watch this every week when it was on the History Channel 20 - 25 years ago, Brilliant show.
Best ever action movies. Brilliant stories.
Interesting to see someone fight both Bond and Trevelyan in a sword duel.
Far from a ‘new’ video. Bought the DVD 2 yrs ago. Worth every penny.
This program is excellent, I've lost track between when Sharpe left gurdwood in the river. I'll have to buy the boxet
We need an all Sharpe's promotions compilation
I really wish they did a prequel to the Iberian campaign, they have the books. That opening scene was from one of the books.
And one episode in the Iberian campaign I had wish they made was when sharp meets his old French officer when he was a spy in India(best co he ever had according to sharpe).
If you think a lot of time passed between 'Waterloo' and 'Challenge', just think that 'Challenge' is now 18 years old itself......
You know what makes a good channel? Uploading 3 Sharpe videos a day sir.
In any weather...
wish they would upload the last 2 extra ones in full, both take place in India, after the war with Napoleon.
Yay! Sharpe made it through one episode WITHOUT getting his leg injur..... dammit.
I'm late, because I went over the hills and far away.
Bought the box set 15 years ago and never watched it. Shall start this weekend lol.
No time like the present!
Nice to see cannon actually recoiling.
I stop everything i do today because sharpe upload new video That's my style sir!!!!
Thank you for all these videos you made my vrty saddday lottery better🎉❤

Catching up on a newly uploaded Sharpe video two months after everyone else? That's my style sir!
Theres 2 dvds of Sharpe in India sharpes challenge and Sharpes peril starring the son of Hakeswell had them for quite a few years now
Soldiering indeed old boy!
I thought that was a radio mast in the background during the opening shots.
But then I saw a rag tied on to the top.
Go get em Sharpie🇬🇧
Fantastically Good Stories
re-balled my own cpu, now thats good soldering
Reincarnation is a very sweet concept. This isn’t my first death, nor will it be my last. Beautiful. Pure.

What series and episode is this video from?
Sharpe!
So how much has been cut out of this episode..
Argh come eh...!!!!
Where be the rest of it...?
SHACKOOOOO....CANEEE.........DOORRRRR
Now is this where Sharp stole all the jewels?
He took them from the tipu sultan.
This video is NOT the complete episode. Approximately an hour's worth of plot material has been excised.
Why does the sound of Simmerson's voice just piss me off?
I find it grating and creep😮
Because you know he's a bloody murdering officer, & a damn coward to boot. The kind that gets a bayonet in his back when no one is looking.
that's his style, sir!
Because it's meant to.
Be quiet! He has friends at court
badass
14:30 😂

Oar 2, see what you can do.
Give you couple sticks and mud huts.
4:00 -- I'm confused. Didn't we just watch Sharpe get killed in the last scene?
No the fella in front of him
@@christinee3126 So the guy on the left at 0:59 was not Sharpe?

Maggie Smith’s son Toby Stephens!
I was unable to follow this.
The books start in india
WTF ? It makes no sense... Parts are missing...
Striking the Continental Colors?
who ever edited this is bloody rubbish
This is sharpes tiger no
Yes, a really bad adaptation of it.
Very bad editing.
Terrible cuts in and out of the story not worth watching
I know you all shout me down but he cant act can he ????
The novels set in India are great!
