An interesting idea for kitbashing: making an emperor titan. Combining the civitas sector and the biggest titan available. (Or taking a 40k knight and modifying it?)
I grabbed a box of the Solar Support for the Rapiers and Tarantulas since the Legions one was out of stock. From what I can see they are the same sculpt and the rules are identical.
It is so darn painful that most things ain't S, as it is to visit their webstore and seeing all those 'Out of stock' items 😢 Hopefully next month it'll be solved, but I certainly doubt it. Thanks yet again for an interesting video on the state of this game, LIt!
Australia. Check local store and website usually once a week. Haven't seen any SM or SA in stock for months. Filling out my first 1000pt lists with Epic 40k minis from 1997 thanks to a fan.
@@LItbashing I don't have that many lol, I meant filling in the points on top of the LI big box. I'll post a picture of the marines I finished today on the reddit though.
I’ve got about 1700-1800 points each of Sax and Marines which I got around launch, and am so far off getting them painted that tbh I actually have no problem with everything being unavailable 😅
What about the Warhound's kit with Mega Bolter, Turbo Laser, Flamer and Plasma? They have LI rules for these weapons, but haven't re-released the old Warhound box. Think the only way to get these at the moment is buy a Titanicus starter box or get the weapon sprue from GW directly.
Yeah if you want specific weapon loadouts it gets a little more complicated with the titans - lots are resin only and some are out of stock. So I graded as per the base kit for accessibility.
I got to Saturday, tried to order the book, support Astartes and Spartans and ended up with an order where, after previous orders recently I'm not even sure that I'm going to get a book. It made me feel frustrated and after trying and having issues getting a ticket for April WHW event I just gave up. Sent the events team and email stating that due to Thier rules regarding 3D prints, stock issues and not being able to assemble the army I wanted to take (because no guarantee that the support would be back in stock and I'd be able to get stuff painted by the event), that I wouldn't be coming and would seriously consider future events and whether it was worth it due to independenant events not having such harsh restrictions on army building and not being as expensive. The whole thing with how the whole of the release since beginning has left me feeling super depressed and frustrated as something I was looking forward to has been tarnished. The overall feeling to me (so perception versus reality) is that GW has released a game that they don't care about to a community they don't care about and rather admit mistakes they just glaze over as if nothing has happened.
GW really messed up the launch with LI. I was able to buy an official GW Leman Russ squad of 8 tanks about 2 months ago from some random seller on ebay, he had 50 for sale and they sold out in 12 hours. I was actually able to get a pre order in on my astartes support set today. But the problem is that the terrible launch has killed any enthusiasm to play the game at the local GW store.
A useful video, thank MattieX. Availability has been such a problem from day one, as we all know, and being a eger beaver as I am I've been looking all over for kits. I've had luck with Alcamists Workshop, Element Games, Troll Trader and other 3rd party sellers. Some have had a max buy of 2 of anything but I've been able to place orders and now it's just the waiting game. A restock of most items will occur on 1st/2nd March from my understanding so back ordering is viable. I wish all of u luck with ur orders and regardless if ur loyalist or heretic I hope u get what ur after.
Alchemist’s Workshop is a sleeper hit when it comes to availability. There have been things I can’t find anywhere that I eventually find there. I have it favourited now.
@LItbashing Definitely a good plan buddy. I hope ur able to get ur orders in, as well as anyone else reading here. If others small seller come to my attention I'll let u all know.
i still think its wild they called this "a fully supported game" i ended up selling my collection the last couple weeks. was over nothing ever being in stock.
That’s such a shame - I understand why people are having to but it seemed completely avoidable… then again I’m not a marketing or manufacturing expert so idk.
Great summary! The models are fantastic and the rules are fun but jeeeez the release is a joke. I can only assume that there are logistics issues outside of their control. Can't believe it's still not possible to buy the basic tanks from the starter box. Just releasing those kits and a transport for each army would result in a "complete" game.
Thankfully my focus is so scattered that I have plenty of models still to be getting on with! But those better at focusing than I am are certainly being punished for - you know - wanting to focus on the game.
I don't get the obsession with Rhino's. I know they've got a long history in the hobby but they have to be the most boring, plain looking vehicles in the whole of the W40K universe. I don't get it.

Oh it’s on my list! Using parts of 40k scale knights too

For sure - I’m going to be using the SA box to double up my Tarantulas

Taking a fully legal Epic1997 army to WHW is the dream..:

Then theres the delivery time , I live in Swden and recently asked GW and they said if available 2-3 weeks......😒
I dream of only 2-3 weeks. I live in Australia and the next lot of pre- release are not even on the web site yet.

Wait- you’re supposed to paint them? *gets out notebook*

It does seem like the community side, the manufacturing side and the organised play side don’t talk to each other as much as they should…

It seems like you'd need to do this video monthly, a lot of what you predicted for march didnt actually come out yet
Certainly needs an update. It’s bizarre we’re still waiting for the vanguard stuff…

Magic madhouse still have Spartans, Malcador variants and solar support box's still in stock. Also reavers with melta and chain fist.
Good luck guys!

No separate basic tanks is genuinely bizarre at this point.
I’m at the point on giving up on the game. I have the launch box but haven’t been able to buy anything else and I refuse to buy from eBay.

Hi
Hullo.
I don't get the obsession with Rhino's. I know they've got a long history in the hobby but they have to be the most boring, plain looking vehicles in the whole of the W40K universe. I don't get it.
