I bought the 11 inch iPad pro. I currently have an older iPad mini. Main reasons for pulling the trigger are the screen. Having true blacks and the brightness. The pencil pro is the other reason. I'm an artist / animator. Can't wait for Wednesday.

I just bought an iPad Pro 12.9 M2 with cellular. The mini LED on this model is good enough for me.
I currently have a 4th generation IPad Air definitely thinking it’s time to upgrade to the Pro.
I fail to see the dilemma. If one has a truly old iPad and one's sold on tablets, get the new one. If one has an older version that does the trick, there's little the new one will deliver but a really powerful device iPadOS cannot currently expoit--oh ya, and a really pretty display.
Pre-ordered the 13in iPad Pro, 512 space black. Currently have the m1 12.9 pro. The iPad Air is a Lite iPad Pro if that makes sense

The thing that holds this thing back is the os.
The fact u still can’t even play 2 medias or more on the i[ad let wound stage manager … it’s like what’s the point.. it’s so powerful but it can’t even do something so simple as playing TH-cam and something else at the same time.
Files still does have safe eject, it’s still super limited..
The iPad is already powerful.. yes additions are good but they really need to work on the os.
U can’t even do edge to edge floating windows.. it’s like.. come on.

I would really like a video of you showing it in use with the multi camera angle and editing videos on it without using a MacBook. i’m between which one I want to get the only way the pro would be attractive to me is making videos. I don’t make professional TH-cam videos like you do, but if you’re able to do it then I know that the family videos and things that I want to make would be a breeze if it would hold up to a professional user.. I normally would not qualify for the pro as far as needing it I kind of want it. I basically use mine for the notepad features to journal but lately I have had the time to start getting back into photography, trying to make some family home movies and I think the pro might could really pay off for that the budget isn’t the issue. I just don’t want to over purchase if I don’t need to end up hating it because I did get something that’s beyond what I can understand to use. I haven’t done photo editing or anything like that in a good five or six years so definitely won’t whichever one is going to be that easier option and I feel like so many content creators don’t cover that they just talk about it and move on
I got the 256GB 13” IPP but I don’t know whether it’s worth paying to massive price hike for the 1TB to get the extra performance core and 16GB RAM. I don’t need the extra storage. ☹️

I have the Samsung Tab Ultra for productivity, for multitasking and work, iOS is just lacking, but for personal use I grab the iPad, gaming is amazing but my M2 does over heat and drain battery, entertainment is perfect but at the latest price point can keep my S9 Ultra for ent and a Razer Blade 14 or MacBook Pro….. I am interested to see how Apple leverages the M4 IA build, but want that in my iPhone not iPad
I need some help deciding on what iPad to save for. I was thinking that the 11 inch would be a good start but I’m not sure if I should get the new iPad Air or iPad Pro?
It depends on what you will be using the iPad for. Are you an artist (graphic designer, animator, illustrator)or video editor? Then the iPad Pro would be best for you. If you are just using the iPad for watching videos, maybe shopping online, and reading books. Then any of the non-pro iPads are okay to buy.
That texture glass will be interesting bc the non glare screen will kind of offset the point of Oled’s with Inky blacks, as the matte finish will kind of diminish this.
Nice review! I have the 3rd generation iPad Pro. It has the M1 chip. I was waiting for the eventuality of an OLED screen and repositioning of camera on a later upgrade and now it’s here! Now, I will have to wait until I pay off my Apple series 9 Watch. After that, I will consider trading in my iPad Pro to get this new generation iPad Pro. I will probably stick with the 11 inch. It’s just the right size for me and it is the cheaper of the Pro brand. I’m hoping the battery life is better than the previous versions I’ve owned. The picture quality on my present iPad Pro is still great! My experience going from the iPhone 11 to eventually the iPhone 14 Pro with the screen quality, gave me me the enjoyment of seeing a better screen experience, leads me to believe that I’ll have that same experience with the new iPad Pro. OLED I’m sure, should be a whole lot better than the Liquid Retina Display on a bigger screen. Again, great review! Looking forward to more! 👏🏾

- ive been wanting a bigger sceern for both my writing and drawing and editing.

Great video! Your video quality is awesome. I really wish Apple would allow sideloading MacOS on the pro ipads at this point. I love my M2 12.9" but at the end of the day iPadOS is just too limiting for complete productivity without having to make some compromises.
I ended up buying an old iPad Pro :) seemed like there wasn't a ton of a reason to get the newest, but we'll see!
I’m still using an Air 2 so just ordered the new Air, 11” …..my old 10 yr old iPad, still works just fine but no more updates and apps starting to not being supported so time to update! I just have no need or $$ for a pro (Canadian )
I’ve never had an iPad before but if I do really well in my exams my parents will let me get one. I’m tempted towards the pro as it’s only a couple hundred more expensive and with lots of features and should last me a while. What do you think?
You should get the older model cause there’s no point getting the newest one if you’re not going to use all that power. M2 already is powerful
I bought the very first model of iPad Pro and it’s still very functional and I use it daily. I can’t wait to get the newest model. It will last years - I’m sure. My old will get passed down to family.
I rocked the first 12.9 iPad Pro (2015) for 6 years… I’ll probably do the same with 12.9 M1 iPad Pro (2021)!
Typing this on my 2015 Gen 1, IPad Pro 12.9. Original battery, still getting updates, great display. Limited gb, no Touch ID.
I was hoping Apple would finally add more than just charging over the usbc pass-through on the "magic" keyboard. Like displayport. For a $350 cover/kb, is it really too much to ask for it to be a docking station of sorts? If I have to plug directly into the usbc port on the iPad anyway, it defeats the selling point of the hinge pass-through.

I'm hoping to get the iPad air which is something I've been patiently waiting for. Next as regarding size, if the air was as thin it would have increased the price.
I’m thinking about getting the 512GB 11” iPad Air (in purple of course). I wanted the iPad Air back in 2022, but they had some type of hardware issue so I just picked up the iPad Pro instead. I don’t really use any of the Pro features, plus I need more space because my Pro is only 128GB. Also, the Magic Keyboard I bought can still work with the Air.

The only noticeable upgrade is the M4 chip. Everything else remains uncertain, particularly considering the price point and the iPad OS it operates on.
That OLED screen would be what does it for me

That’s easy, Not!!! I have a 2020 12.9 iPad Pro and that’s good enough for me cause ain’t no way I can afford to pay 2500-3k for a iPad. Yes, 3k because I want the max storage along with WiFi and cell.

I have the latest version of the Pro but ordered the new one. 😬 I use my iPad Pro more than my MacBook Pro for my daily tasks so I always upgrade when it comes to the tablet. For the MacBook Pro, I do upgrade every two years.

Plan on trading in my 12.9” iPad Pro for the new M4 13” iPad Pro…the iPad is my main computing device outside of my phone & work computer so I’m looking forward to the improvements!! The trade in should bump the price down to $800!! 😅

I want to add that if they make the back of the iPad Rounded again and do the same for the keyboard, it will feel much more like a laptop! The whole point of making it as thin as possible is because it was top heavy. If they nail it with the iPad software, I will buy the IPad Pro over a MacBook!

The best thing bout these new iPads is that the previous ones should fall in price somewhat. The Pros are absurdly priced to begin with, especially the keyboard accessories. I’d be more keen to upgrade if I could use my existing Magic Keyboard, they could’ve easily made it compatible but they opted not to. I actually think the original ones look better than the new aluminum ones

The new Pro actually comes in the typical Silver for the device and the new keyboard, BUT Space Grey was replaced with SPACE BLACK!!! I could not be more excited, as I have never been a fan of any of the 100 or so shades of grey/gray Apple has decided to call “Space”…
When I seen the configuration I wanted costing over $1800 I’m thinking to just get the 14in Pro for $2100 instead. What y’all think?

Its a shame from apple that the NEW magic keyboards are not compatible with the M1 or M2 ipad pros .
I was planning to purchase NEW magic keyboard for my M1 ipad pro as it got the function keys.. But disappointed its not compatible.
At this point, if I ever thinking of an upgrade, I’d trade my current M1 iPad and Magic Keyboard + Apple Pencil for an M2 Macbook Air or even M1 Macbook Pro.

Hmm that’s a tough one. I get the dilemma. Most of what you need it for is light work. It’s the graphic design and possibly the games that make the Pro appealing for u.. even tho the Air can handle it as well. I think you would be fine with the Air. If you did get the Pro it would give u more space to grow

I am so sick of the pro lineup being in boring colors. I know the pro lineup attracts professionals obviously but there is a lot of us women out there that even though we’re professionals were lawyers doctors whatever we still like our cute little colors wouldn’t even be mad if Apple charged up charged for it like 100 bucks and you can pick one of the colors from the other lineup and you have to wait a couple extra weeks I think they would be surprised if they actually release some colors. That’s what always gets me. I always buy the phone but all the colors I like are in the regular lineup. I hate the sacrifice color choice when I’m paying a higher price maybe or pre-orders would even work, I wouldn’t mind waiting an extra month or two on an apple product in the color of my choice. They could always do it if we don’t get enough orders then we won’t make it and you can pick another color. That’s simple.
I feel you there. I would love more festive color options on the Pro model …like we see on the non Pro models. Add some fun to the work environment lol
