If I remember right, the third Yamato class ship converted into a carrier, the IJN Shinano, was actually "built" but not finished. She could sail and had to around 1944 (I think) because the dock she was in didn't had the required torpedo protection and so she started her course to another dock to install the protection but of course, she sailed alone and a single, lone American submarine spotted her, launched a single torpedo and sank the biggest aircraft carrier at the time. I am no historian so maybe I am wrong, feel free to correct me :)
Spartan! I’ve really been enjoying the Tier 6 Premium “Gorizia” lately with the new SAP rounds. It’s a heavy Italian cruiser and she has laser beams for cannons. I would like to see you do a review on her! I’m sure I’m not the only one! Thanks for reading!
The Sovetsky Soyuz-class battleships (Project 23, Russian: Советский Союз, "Soviet Union"), also known as "Stalin's Republics", were a class of battleships begun by the Soviet Union in the late 1930s but never brought into service. They were designed in response to the Bismarck-class battleships being built by Germany. Only four hulls of the fifteen originally planned had been laid down by 1940, when the decision was made to cut the program to only three ships to divert resources to an expanded army rearmament program. These ships would have rivaled the Imperial Japanese Yamato class and America's planned Montana class in size if any had been completed, although with significantly weaker firepower: nine 406-millimeter (16 in) guns compared to the nine 460-millimeter (18.1 in) guns of the Japanese ships and a dozen 16-inch (406 mm) on the Montanas. The failure of the Soviet armor plate industry to build cemented armor plates thicker than 230 millimeters (9.1 in) would have negated any advantages from the Sovetsky Soyuz class's thicker armor in combat. Construction of the first four ships was plagued with difficulties as the Soviet shipbuilding and related industries were not prepared to build such large ships. One battleship, Sovetskaya Belorussiya, was cancelled on 19 October 1940 after serious construction flaws were found. Construction of the other three ships was suspended shortly after Nazi Germany invaded the Soviet Union in June 1941, and never resumed. All three of the surviving hulls were scrapped in the late 1940s.
Full tank is what I use on Vlad too. The ship has trolling dispersion, short range, staying far back in open water is just a risk for getting deleted. Might as well go full tank, push forwards towards the islands and try to break the enemy defenses using that small bump in accuracy at 11km
I'd didn't particularly like the vlad an sold it off awhile back, but the Sovetsky is a beast in it's own right as long as you understand Russian ships an angling. I personally use galler with the new bb captain for grouping, and sims so im packing almost 91k health.
On the note of favorite ships, I just got the Ignis from a warhammer crate and my god is it amazing. At least for me. A little squishy but that thing can slap. Very quickly becoming a top 3 for me. Hopefully when I get the Maine, I can make it work. Was looking forward to that the most but I hear subpar things about quite often.
@@odin-i-4592 I feel that it is a massive improvement over the tier 7. The Chapayev personally was not to my play style, but I absolutely love the Donskoi. It has extremely powerful guns a little better armor and it is extremely accurate.
Have you noticed FDG’s base firing range is very good? I run Hyde without flammable cannonier active and my range is at 18.9km with no inspirations for it. Almost considered brawler just because the range would still be 17km and sub 20 second reloads (I use smaller guns).
I agree with you in the camo, Sparty! That Russian one is the best national one, IMO. But I only use the national camos on their respective ships. Also- if you take Flammable Cannonier, Fight Fire With Fire negates some of that extra fire to some extent! That’s my (not a) pro tip! 😂
I play BB all the time and I rarely ever get 3 fires set on me, Will To Rebuild is better if you ask me, saved me so many times and kept me alive when I should be dead 3x over. Personal opinion though
Just and observation lev is the better choice and playing with Mikhail leaves room for sloppy gameplay because you rely on heals to power you through fights.
Secondaries on this ship, or secondaries in general? Because I can agree on that. Secondaries are extremely underpowered in this game . Wargaming Legends did say they don’t want people relying on secondaries after all, unlike their pc counterparts… where secondaries are useful and reliant.
I love this game but I don't have friends on it so don't play as much as I would like I'm a social gamer so I always end up on tanks I wish they would add the feature so I can add my Xbox friend that plays this we both would play more but we can't play together
Lol wrong youtuber.... that was Scott from Kentucky Ballistics... Brandon Herrara just had a video get struck by TH-cam where he was trying to recreate a pipe pistol used to assassinate Japanese Prime Minister and he ended up basically creating a pipe bomb and then crouching behind a 55 gallon drum full of water like 3 feet from it while testing it when it exploded... very fortunate that he didn't get seriously injured

USS Archerfish I believe was the sub that followed and sank Shinano
Credited with the largest solo sinking in history
Shinano hade a escort of destroyers and 1 of them being ijn yukikaze which escorted yamato and musashi
Yukikaze is also in the game
Great analysis at the beginning. Love that format.
The Lenin being my most played ship, it has really made me quite good at using my damage cons at the best possible time
I want the Lenin! Looks sexy. That or Jean Bart

Not a priority out of the tier VIII's for me to get since I main cruisers, but I do want it eventually. Thank you Spartan. ❤️
What is your priority?
No problem 😊
@@odin-i-4592 the cruisers ofc since he is a cruiser main
@@doomguy.23frommars60 yeah that much is clear, but what cruiser is getting priority. As in what nation will be purchased first.
Currently grinding Vladivostok to get this, looking forward to it
Same here

That’s like me telling new people to the game not to sell ships but me who has been playing for 3 years now currently has only one ship in my port

Is it just me or is Soyuz actually accurate? An accurate Russian battleship, I didn’t know that could exist. Also nice Brandon Herrera reference
😄
I find the vlad more accurate then the sov 😭😭
“I like it I don’t love it” seems to be a trend with the t8 battleships

My favorite T8 for now
Name dropping Brandon Herrera? Very cool.
I am really enjoying the Soviet battleship and cruiser so far. Great video as always!
Noice!
Hey, what's the cruiser like? Does it play like the t7?
@@odin-i-4592 I feel that it is a massive improvement over the tier 7. The Chapayev personally was not to my play style, but I absolutely love the Donskoi. It has extremely powerful guns a little better armor and it is extremely accurate.

Well, that AK Guy quip aged well 🤣. Homemmade pipe gun? 🤣

Fighting a yammy with an odin was fun while it lasted xD
The premium rossiya , now that’s one tanky and accurate Russian battleship at range .
One of my favorite battle ships
I've never seen you so broke spartan, but I cannot wait for that Izumo vid!
Haha yeah it do be like that!
I play BB all the time and I rarely ever get 3 fires set on me, Will To Rebuild is better if you ask me, saved me so many times and kept me alive when I should be dead 3x over. Personal opinion though
Didn’t expect the Brandan Harrera (don’t know how to spell his name) reference
Great and very informative vedio looking forward for more videos like these ✨✨.✌️...
Hello! Pretty good video! Same question= what’s tomorrow?
Izumo
Nice, I’m can’t wait for this one!
Spartan I watched peek shoot one of those roons the other night in the new German BATTLESHIP and over pinned him everytime flat brod side to
Yeah it can do that for sure
Try kedrov, palo direvel, and Charles madden. All 16. All either tier 2 or 3. Very fun.
16:26 anyone else hear a meow?
Yeah there's a cat meow in the new port but haven't see it yet
Hey Spartan have you ever thought of making a discord for people to share clips and just discuss game stuff in?
I have but I don't have time or patience to control this many people
You should make a map tactics videos series like what vii hipper did
totally agree! And perhaps updated vids on how to cruiser, destroyer, etc.
Question: why do the Soviet BBs have limited DCs?
Because they have really short cooldowns...

Ty
algorithm love :)
I can never pronounce the name right so I just call it the soy sauce
😄
Let's go
Where's the izumo :"(
Tomorrow
From my own experience, this ship is a hot piece of sh**
Just and observation lev is the better choice and playing with Mikhail leaves room for sloppy gameplay because you rely on heals to power you through fights.
Many peoples just spam HE on Flandre french magic AP doesen't exist with guys like that
Secondaries need a desperate buff campers are becoming more common

spartan, i advise you to play Roma with the commander Angelo Iachino
In my opinion the Soviet BBs go to crap after Sinop. The Vlad makes the Gneisenau look accurate tbh.
Fr
😂😂 naw not for me vlad was taking souls at range for me
This bb out now only means the Kremlin can be a legendary tier ship 😂
or slava
I get stuck on shit team after shit team. Maybe win 2 out of 12 games. Trash team pairing makes it not fun anymore.
🇺🇸🇩🇪👌
👋
Brandon is better than you, and a good man you brought him up for no reason
Huh?
Yikes on the Brandon comment.. that was a poorly loaded s.l.a.p. round.. freak accident.

I honest can’t stand this ship sorry to the people that like it but personally I think it’s quite disappointing
I don’t like this ship its just vladivostok with more health and worst accuracy nothing special
