I think the parents got what they deserved. I've nothing against poly couples, but going as far as sleeping with your kid's fiancee, that's crossing a boundary. whoever spilled the beans I think it was karma served. I hope these parents whp had to flee their home to who knows where learns a lesson that there is a limit to who you can and cannot fool around with even if you're poly. They destroyed their relationship with their daughter and their family. if they aren't careful again who knows, they may face a lawsuit and alimony charges for destroying a marriage if they're foolish again because i doubt anyone in their family will help them. especially the daughter. I hope O.p can find someone in the future that will help her trust and love again and if the parents do show up this new guy whoever he may be will not do what the last fiancee did.

Having an open marriage is fine, but mom crossed the line with op’s boyfriend. Of course, once the boyfriend realized what was happening with the mom he should have put a stop to it if he really cared for op. Op did the right thing by breaking up because she wouldn’t be able to trust him anymore.

The issue is seducing your daughter's boyfriend, this goes against the poly rules because the text indicates secrecy (not tranparency) by the mother and the bf Secondly, he nor the daughter were aware of that the gif's mother and father were in poly relationships. OP made a well reasoned decision. Her bf should have come to her on the first suspicious situation. Her parents should have communicated with her about their poly relationship, as well.
