My Maltipoo is a sweet 7yr old boy. Ive had him since he was a puppy. I do agree with you on some of the things you said, but here's how you take care of the so called "issues" with your Maltipoo. 1) They dont like loud noises and they dont like to be yelled at, so be gentle with him/her when correcting because they just want to please you. 2) separation anxiety. Take them with you when you go to the store, on vacation, to visit family and friends. They are fantastic travel buddies. Harley, my little guy, goes everywhere with me. Hes great in a hotel room, even if its a time where he cant go with me to say a funeral. They are so smart, that you can show them something once, like navigating from your car to your hotel room. They will know from that point on where they need to go without a leash or being told. 3) sensitive stomach. Yes, that can be an issue, but it can also be an issue for other breeds as well. You can buy Royal Canin poodle food and that will help with any stomach issues. You can also make homemade dog food using people food. Both types of foods go a long way since they dont eat much. One large bag of dog food lasts 8 months, give or take. So the initial cost might seem like a lot, but when you break it down, its pennies on the dollar to feed them. Word of caution!!!? DO NOT GIVE YOUR MALTIPOO HOT DOGS OR LET THEM CHEW ON STICKS!!! They can get pancreatitis, which is incredibly painful. I found that out after someone at a get together gave Harley a hot dog without me knowing. The next day he was at the vet because he was vomiting and pooping blood. He was in the doggie hospital for 3 days on IV's and cost me about $2,500. I would recommend getting pet health insurance because its definitely worth it!! 4) Grooming. Brushing out your Maltipoo isnt difficult and they love the attention. I used to pay $85 every 6-8 weeks for a total groom which included the bath, blow dry, nails, ears, teeth, and pad balm. I now do my own grooming on him after he got badly burned by a cage dryer at PetSmart. Overall...no matter what breed of dog you have, its a commitment and a commitment of your time. The results are fantastic because its bonding time with your pet and they like it because they love you. Harley is my first little dog, and id never trade him for anything. The happiness and companionship he has give me over the past 7 years is great. I love being with him and vice versa. Side note: does anybody elses Maltipoo like sleeping under the covers? My 7 month old Maltipoo Theo loves sleeping under the covers with me. Sometimes he’ll get too hot, and come out for a few minutes, and then back under he goes lol. He just loves to snuggle up to me, it’s so adorable. Having him around has also really helped me with my mental health challenges, and I love being with him.
Love your comment. Thats so right what you ve said…. And I am sure most of the problems are coming from bad behaviour of people around, not that its a “bad problematic breed” or whatever… eg.would never trust my parents to take care of my dog. Some people do not understand that giving a “small piece of cheese” can result so many issues… and then asking “oh why his eyes are itching..”. Makes me really frustrated... And then comments “its a sick breed”… people are sick lol
@@Userz8-fn-gd8vs Thank you, and I totally agree with you. I have a friend who feeds her lab everything, including chocolate cake. Her dog has severe allergies, missing fur on his paws, legs, back, and has some sort of lump on his shoulders. He should weigh roughly around 80lbs, but he currently tops in at 120lbs 😳. You can't tell her anything because it goes in one ear and out the other. It's infuriating and it's animal abuse. My friend is a good person, just a terrible pet owner. My maltipoo is very expensive to keep groomed, he’s very affectionate, and he has wayyy too much energy. He’s also a very good boy and I love him. We got him free from someone who wanted to get rid of him cause he was too hyper
My 2 boys are the most adorable, fun, loving friends you could ever have. No health issues whatsoever and not very difficult to groom. Mine have been to a groomer once, hated it and are looked after by loving parents. They are amazing dogs.
My little Buddy fits your description to a tee. I don't know his breed for sure, since I bought him as a rescue. At 75yo now (me, not him) he's my heart, and my constant companion. A smart, funny little cross between a wooly mammoth and a squirrel. I do wonder, sometimes, if I'm not able to give him everything he needs to be happy and healthy, even though he seems to be both. BUT I can NOT imagine my life without him pestering me to toss a toy, or a treat, napping on my lap, wagging his roto-tail, leaping and spinning when I come home, especially with grocery bags, or just sitting in front of me, staring at me. He's usually not interested in other dogs, but he LOVES everybody, and they love him. All of the items you mentioned in this post only endear him to me more. Being otherwise alone, I dote on him, and he on me. I promised him in the shelter, 5 years ago, that I would give him the best life I could possibly give him, and it's pure joy to fulfill that promise.
PS - You HAVE to be diligent, and clean their little butts often. All that hair can hold a gob of poo, and it's a big job to soften it, and...well, you get the idea.
Your last line in your post brought tears to my eyes. What a beautiful thing to say to an animal that needs love and a loving home. I hope both of you have many happy and healthy years together. 😁❤️❤️
Maltipoos were bred for good temperament but mine likes to be alone all day, goes off on her own for like six hours a day on holidays when everyone is home and despises all other animals. Still cute though. She's fifteen now so she's extra crochety.
We have a maltipoo and it is the easiest dog in the whole world. Peed outside since week 10, sleep alone in her crate every night, only bad side is she is a terrible picky eater. About grooming, we do it ourselves, buy a cheap grooming machine and do it once in 10-15 days. All together amazing dogs. And she is so smart. Yes she get separation anxiety and we try to not leave her alone longer than 2h. We walk with her twice a day for 20 min.
My little Snookums is everything thing to me and I am the one that has separation anxiety if I have to leave him! He is 1 1/2 and I can't imagine what I did without him!❤
i have a maltipoo named shimmer, she was $400 and hates exercising and socializing 😂 she likes to be around her family and to sleep and cuddle. She does get separation anxiety tho
I've owned/lived with many dogs over the years (border collies, rottweilers, an Australian shepherd, and a shorkie), but the dog that was my little buddy was a maltipoo named Dexter. Got him in 2009 and had to say goodbye in October '23. He was so special. They all are. But I still miss that little guy every day. This video is definitely fair when it comes to pros and cons. I wouldn't trade my time with Dex for anything. They are great dogs. If you the right person in the right situation, one would be a phenomenal companion.
Hint: ALL dogs puke bile when they haven't eaten. My chihuahua, my deceased chihuahua, my rat terrier, my old dachs mix, my old schnoodle...they allllll puke bile if they haven't eaten. 🙄
This is affirming to hear because I’m assuming most dogs would also have sensitive stomach’s if they’re eating stuff they’re not supposed to/overeating
I have groomed my friends maltipoo and done his nail clips since he was 9 weeks old. She has had him 7 years and i have not seen it expensive to have one.
I got my puppymaltipoo 8wks ago I used to have a staff but I got my little missy + yes she was alot of money but she's so loving I wouldn't change her love her to bits.
As a proud malti poo owner, I stand against this video. Here are my reasons 1: Very loyal and affectionate 2: Incredibly protective of his/her owners (Whenever I pretend to hit my mom or my dog hears “I’m going to hit her!” EVEN THOUGH IM NOT, she goes nuts and starts barking at me) 3: Incredibly smart 4: Easy to train😊
My maltipoo is not like what he describes. She was gotten after mom abandoned the litter at four weeks. She was raised with two other dogs so she (except at the very beginning) ate what they ate, went out when the boys went out, has toys they play with. Runs around the house trying to hide her toys then find them. My biggest complaint is, she is the first dog I have had (number 15) she wont lay on her back to submit. Not even for belly rubs. We do have to get her groomed. We found a groomer that charges reasonable rates (30 for first visit, 15 every two weeks for maintenance). If shes not groomed regularly her fur will grow and make it so she cant poop. Love my four legged childrens
All I cared for were rottweilers..when she died after 14 yrs..2 yrs later I got a maltipoo..I love him big time..he can actually sleep in bad and demands it anyways..hes over 12 now..and I groom him myself...saves that money...he loves to travel..hes a great dog...
Hey! i got my maltipoo on craigslist. his name is ollie, and i got him for 650 dollars during january! his grooming is for free because i do it myself! he is 1 year and 2 months. he is white, and so cute aah
tho I have maltipoo I adopted him in this date! 2/18/24! he so fluffy and cuter he only bit me for day he was special for hrs! and idc if all maltipoos are mean I love them!
I was given a maltipoo by my parents and man do I love her to death! Always making me laugh, plays a lot, requires so much attention, she literally cries when she knows I’m heading to work and it breaks my heart every time but coming home and seeing her by the window every time is the highlight of my day! Seriously she’s such a bundle of joy😭😭😭
My maltipoo is like having a smart kid with scissors. Be conscious of what you’re adopting. Make sure you have the time and commitment for training. He needs to be brushed twice a week or u might as well shave them. My cockapoo is the perfect temperament and needs for my family. We wish we would’ve had more education before getting a dog that is as hyperactive as a maltipoo.
I have a maltipoo named bob 🤗❤️ i wanted a pit but im so in love with him and wouldnt trade him for anything❤️🤗 he was $1500 tho and is about $60 to groom other than tht hes basically just stating mostly facts 🤔👍🏼great dogs but all dogs are great in my opinion ❤️🤗
I just got mine today! I got lucky she was charging 1200 but got him for 500 because she was desperate her landlord said she couldn't have him so she needed him out asap. He is the sweetest 6 month old pup. Good to know you pay 60 for grooming. We are still thinking of a name. I like Bruno or Boston my daughter isn't feeling either lol
I’m really lookjng into adopting a maltipoo as my first dog(I have two fish tanks total 23 pet fish). But I leave my house at 7:30am and don’t return until 5:30 pm. Would this be a huge problem? Would it help to have two for companion?
Thank you so much for this video. Trying to weigh the pros and cons of dog breeds. I'm definitely thinking of getting one of these cuties! But the initial price is just so expensive. Hmm 🤔
I have a 1 year old malti-poo and is in need of a good and loving home. There’s something I cannot look after him, it’s best he goes to someone who can give him the much attention he can have.
Agree with every point you made. They are velcro dogs, do require more grooming and its a good idea to learn some basic grooming skills, and do require an owner who can give them that. Their stomachs can be sensitive. One thing for sure is they are companion angels. So if you dont want a velcro dog, do not get a maltipoo.
As a veterinary nurse, technically there's no such thing as a hypoallergenic dog. It's not the fur that causes the allergic reaction, it's the dander that comes off the fur. They are easier on allergy sufferers but by no means will they not cause a reaction. Hypoallergenic is a term completely misunderstood and used to increase a puppy's sellability. I see lots of families realising, after purchasing or rescuing a dog, that their kids or themselves are still reacting to the 'fur', and can't understand why. Poor dog then ends up rehomed, put in a shelter or abandoned.
Small hypoallergenic dogs don't cause reactions for me, when I touch them, while big short haired dogs do. Guess it depends on how bad your allergies are.
My maltipoo was expensive to purchase but only about $60 once a month to get groomed. He doesn’t matt up unless poo dries around his butt area so I always wet wipe after a bum. He absolutely does have a sensitive stomach and isn’t real social b/c we were social distancing. But I absolutely love my boy🐕🦺❤
Bro, my Matty poo it was only like $15 because I got it from puppy dreams😢😢 she’s friendly and they’re so played for and stuff. She tries to bite me, but it’s OK.❤ I love Matty poo😊😊
I love my Maltipoo! She is the cutest, sweetest dog ever. ❤️❤️ She was expensive but worth it. I honestly don’t see a difference in this breed vs others.🤷🏾♀️
Yes, my 6 mo 6#2oz lil guy is Soooooooo bad. He's chewed the Christmas tree plug in two, thank God the tree wasn't on ! Every time he's been out he peeps but the lil sh$$ will come inside and do oopies. He's getting better, but it's so frustrating. He's getting neutered Thursday, some say that will calm him down, I'm praying that THEY are right!😂
Don't say bad things about a maltipoo. My oldest has saved my life . I now have a a 14 year old and a teacup 1 year old and they are amazing and smarter than any other breed of dog I've ever had. And my new one already is in tune with my medical needs. Whiteout any formal training.
$200 a grooming appointment. Matting is solved with proper brush. Put him in puppy training early on. He is very high maintenance. But worth every cent.
Any dog breed is going to have anxiety if you don't socialize them or give them exercise. Socialize them and exercise them and they are great! My boy thinks everyone is his friend. He gets along well with his feline sister, my cat and they love wrestling with each other.😁
Exactly .. people get dogs without making research. I know a family who got husky breeds and live in a very small square foot home never walked and always anxious barking howling and destroying everything, under fed scared, shedding everywhere .. so sad its a mess . So sad they started with one female . And it was like ok they got a dog but no, they then got a male and breed them , they sold the pups and kept 2 so its now 4 and they dont care for them like they should why tell me why this is acceptable. Start with fish tank if u never had a pet that large but dont hurt their lives that way. Peace may they learn from their mistakes and make better choices . No one should hurt anyone at all. Whether u know best or not thats good judgment from good hearted humans.
I would never not get a maltipoo, i have 2 and they’re so loving (except my girl 😂 cause she likes to bark extremely loud in the middle of the night!) yes, the brushing and matting, it’s normal now. I am going to take care of them better because of the matting.
So basically 1. Groom your dog so it does not mat 2. Make sure you have money because they expensive to buy & maintain 3. Feed consistently to avoid throw up 4. Positive reinforcement only - stay away if you like shouting & yelling 5. Hyper little dog - be prepared to exercise with your dog! 6. Dog can get separation anxiety - doggy needs time around you! 7. Social dog - needs time to hang with other dogs!
We got our adorable maltipoo at the shelter for free. She was an owner surrender, i assume because that owner hadnt considered the points on this list before purchasing her.
I currently have a bichonpoo and a standard poodle , im getting ready to get a maltipoo that the owners can no longer care for her , she turns two tomorrow .

So, basically you have to be a good pet parent. Got it. My lil guy and I are doing great. Love him so much!
My maltipoo is very expensive to keep groomed, he’s very affectionate, and he has wayyy too much energy. He’s also a very good boy and I love him. We got him free from someone who wanted to get rid of him cause he was too hyper
Haha I decided to learn how to groom before I get a dog. I think it will be best investment…😂2-3 grooming visits are covering the costs of the courses
This is very spot on! With that being said, our maltipoo is worth all of it 10 fold🥰
My 2 boys are the most adorable, fun, loving friends you could ever have. No health issues whatsoever and not very difficult to groom. Mine have been to a groomer once, hated it and are looked after by loving parents. They are amazing dogs.
My lil baby Zoë definitely has a sensitive tummy and separation anxiety but she’s the best pup and loves to cuddle all day!
I love my maltipoo & I watch this before & I still got my baby 😂❤❤❤❤… I don’t regret it, 3 years after ❤
My little Buddy fits your description to a tee.
😂
i have a a maltipoo and i would definitely recommend this kind of dog breed. They are very cute, smart, and hyper.❤
They are!
We got ours today 🤍
Sounds like mine. A snuggly little coach potato, Winston is.
The most loving dog I have ever had and I also have a Golden Retrieve.
People puke bile too.
If you've got a deceased Chihuahua puking bile, I'd probably dig him up and take him to the vet. 😉
Kidding aside, sorry for your loss :(
This is affirming to hear because I’m assuming most dogs would also have sensitive stomach’s if they’re eating stuff they’re not supposed to/overeating
I have a girl Maltipoo and she’s adorable. She’s the best dog I’ve ever had
Looked like every owner is not the opinion 🙏🏼 happy for that ❤️
As a proud malti poo owner, I stand against this video. Here are my reasons
1: Very loyal and affectionate
2: Incredibly protective of his/her owners (Whenever I pretend to hit my mom or my dog hears “I’m going to hit her!” EVEN THOUGH IM NOT, she goes nuts and starts barking at me)
3: Incredibly smart
4: Easy to train😊
Good info!
Agree with all of these . They are my favorite breed beside Staffordshire Terriers.
You’ll never regret it! We have a Maltese and a Maltipoo. The best!!❤❤❤
I just got my boy and girl 3 weeks ago tomorrow. They are now 11 weeks old.
All I cared for were rottweilers..when she died after 14 yrs..2 yrs later I got a maltipoo..I love him big time..he can actually sleep in bad and demands it anyways..hes over 12 now..and I groom him myself...saves that money...he loves to travel..hes a great dog...
I only paid $900 for my Lola Bunny ❤️ She’s a lot but I love her!
Nice!!
Hey! i got my maltipoo on craigslist. his name is ollie, and i got him for 650 dollars during january! his grooming is for free because i do it myself! he is 1 year and 2 months. he is white, and so cute aah
I always thought these types of videos were a sham. But I recently got a maltipoo and you've hit all the traits so accurately lmao
The most amazing dog. He is a phenomenal loving caring playful obedient sweet handsome buddy. I LOOOOVE MY MALTIPOO.
tho I have maltipoo I adopted him in this date! 2/18/24! he so fluffy and cuter he only bit me for day he was special for hrs! and idc if all maltipoos are mean I love them!
Best pup i have ever had i wanted to see how people could possibly say no so their cute faces 🥺🥺💗
Regardless which breed you get, you will spend money! I love my maltipoo!
We only payed £900 for my maltipoo and he is amazing if you want a affectionate pet I highly advice a maltipoo
We just picked up our first Maltipoo. We own a pitbull already. Excited for the new journey with her 🥺
I got mine for free and I love him too
Have you had any issues with stomach? Vomiting etc
@@19609641 just once he vomited
I’m really lookjng into adopting a maltipoo as my first dog(I have two fish tanks total 23 pet fish). But I leave my house at 7:30am and don’t return until 5:30 pm. Would this be a huge problem? Would it help to have two for companion?
What do you do if maltipoo 1yr gets constipated and inactive?
Thank you so much for this video. Trying to weigh the pros and cons of dog breeds. I'm definitely thinking of getting one of these cuties! But the initial price is just so expensive. Hmm 🤔
Glad it was helpful!
Check rescues... that's where I got my sweet little 5yo Claire. ❤
Thanks for the comment
Haha velcro dog is the best way to describe it. Mine wants to live on my shoulder and if not hes pestering the other dog for cuddles
Best indoor dog
Getting a dog is 2nd only to deciding to having a kid! Appreciate ur info thx 🤙♥️🐶
Excellent points to ponder; thank you!🐕
What do you do if maltipoo gets constipated and not as active
Me watching this right next to my Maltipoo: 👁👄👁
Dander? I have this dog, there is nothing coming off his fur/hair.
I love these dogs - so cute
I love mine and is training..no problems with her she is adorable ❤❤❤❤
Maltipo vs Maltichon (mix with Bichon).
Which is the best?
Ridiculous prices in the US...crazy. Here in Europe you can find them from around 350 Euros, around 400 USD
How much was your maltipoo?
I adore mine. She is my world. My baby. I love her.
I honestly don’t see a difference in this breed vs others.🤷🏾♀️
where did you get her? i need to find a good website so i can buy a female maltipoo
You say she was expensive but worth it, yet you can’t even notice any difference between this and other breeds? Lol what?
@@rowen0fstrata What is so confusing about this statement? Obviously I've had other breeds and their behavior isn't any different. 🤷🏾♀️
I bet it is sweet😘
It's my dog but we love them going out regularly for exercises
N they love cuddling n running back n forth at our small hse maltipoo
I'm getting a maltipoo and she is 500.00 I happen to get lucky I'm so excited to get her
My maltoo was house broken at 1 month very easy. Never had an issue.
I tried to train my maltipoo but it feels like it’s impossible….she barks all the time and just wild and CRAZY😂 but I love her 🥰
YUP! Most Maltipoos are like that. They’re crazy af 🤣🤣🤣🤣
He's getting neutered Thursday, some say that will calm him down, I'm praying that THEY are right!😂
I am a Maltese Poodle owner and I attest that all of these is true! But I still love my dog😂😭.
Don't say bad things about a maltipoo. My oldest has saved my life . I now have a a 14 year old and a teacup 1 year old and they are amazing and smarter than any other breed of dog I've ever had. And my new one already is in tune with my medical needs. Whiteout any formal training.
These are all true. Love my baby but make sure you have time and attention to give. They truly hate being alone and need a lot of exercise
My three malitpoos have been family. Period.
He gets along well with his feline sister, my cat and they love wrestling with each other.😁
Adoption fee in LA 122 bucks ... LOVE MINE
I LOVE MY BOY. u shouldnt tell ppl that dogs are bad
My sweet babies name is Luna. I pick her up on Valentines 2023! 💝
*watching curled up with my maltipoo
Spot on
Exactly .. people get dogs without making research.
Just got a multipoo and he bounces where ever he goes. He is amazing, fight me
I would never not get a maltipoo, i have 2 and they’re so loving (except my girl 😂 cause she likes to bark extremely loud in the middle of the night!) yes, the brushing and matting, it’s normal now. I am going to take care of them better because of the matting.
What about a yellow Labrador
So basically
1. Groom your dog so it does not mat
2. Make sure you have money because they expensive to buy & maintain
3. Feed consistently to avoid throw up
4. Positive reinforcement only - stay away if you like shouting & yelling
5. Hyper little dog - be prepared to exercise with your dog!
6. Dog can get separation anxiety - doggy needs time around you!
7. Social dog - needs time to hang with other dogs!
I have female Maltese should i cross with poodle or with male Maltese any suggestions please
OMG! especially #7.
If you don't do it early, often, and strategically, the dog will bark even to the trees. 🙈🙉🙊
We got our adorable maltipoo at the shelter for free. She was an owner surrender, i assume because that owner hadnt considered the points on this list before purchasing her.
I have a maltipoo he’s 12 years old now he’s very cute but very vocal haha
Instructions unclear. I now have 3
Reasons y u should get a maltipoo
1. They dont shed
2.There very cuteeeee
3.They r fluffy
4. They like 2 play
5. Medium sized dogo
Exactly.
Were getting a teacup maltipoo. imma train her to protect the house
I currently have a bichonpoo and a standard poodle , im getting ready to get a maltipoo that the owners can no longer care for her , she turns two tomorrow .
Maltipoos are best!!!!!!
My favorite breed
“2-5 thousand dollars” I got mine for just ten dollars 🤭
My maltipoo would be upset if she heard you calling her small!
mine is nothing like this. i don't know why you'd lie about it
MALTIPOOS ARE PERFECT! MY 10 YEAR OLD MALTIPOO IS THE CUTEST AND EASIEST TO TAKE CARE OF ❤❤❤❤!:)
Sensitive stomach for sure. Got my daughters 2 and i only can feed them grain free dog food.
Do you Think…. You could have said this to me Years ago???Wendy👑🇨🇦❤️🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
Im never leaving my girl, she is the best dog, and is easy to take care, and i dont need to groom her, so its easy work
