Think the performance in wet conditions needs to be tested guys. Great review. Rick shiels did a wet test on the mg4 and dropped of 3000rpm from dry. Would really like to see a wet test around the green and pitch type shots vs sm9 and new mizuno t24. Ping wedges we know perform great in wet conditions. Great content again guys cheers.
Hi Roger, yes the MG4 are available in graphite you just need to have them custom built. If you're in the USA there's a lot of choice's if you're anywhere else a TaylorMade stockist will be able to help. Hope that helps.
I am a 15 handicap golfer and i am looking for some wedges for Christmas. If i had to only get two wedges, which degrees should i get? And, should i get the vokeys or the mg4’s?
This is a very tough question to answer usefully. Different players will warrant using two different lofts. Simon though is a massive fan of using just 52deg and 58deg lofts, but that's all he's ever used. The 58deg is a lob wedge and sand wedge, the 52deg is for pitching, chipping and full shots. Simples. With a new Vokey model coming early in 2024 we'd suggest waiting to see those before making up your mind between the pair and taking the plunge. Hope that helps.
I have a mg3 with raised edges between the regular grooves and not a lot of play time on it and they wore away very quickly, (less than 2 months practice and course time) I'm hesitant on the next generation, currently gaming sm8 wedges
@@pgastar05Same here. Wanted the TW MG3 but the rusty face looks terrible. Make the whole wedge rust or not rust at all. You know Tiger isn’t playing this wedge where just the face rust. Looks awful

Thanks Nelly, look out for a wet wedge video in the not too distant future.
I got the mg4 and I loved the rusty look and the performance is amazing at least for me 🎉❤wet grass is not a problem well done TM.
Thanks for your input William.
On wet mornings do you want the same spin or is higher launch & therefore higher descent angle preferable?
What’s the best recommendation for a senior golfer, do they come with graphite shafts? To match my sim irons

Thanks for your input Ludwig.
Rusty grooves are a show stopper for me just don’t like the look. Ill stick with Vokey thanks.
Agreed. I don’t know why tm doesn’t make a version that doesn’t rust. It was the difference on why I bought vokeys
Thanks for your input Mike.
Been thinking this too. My whole bag is TM except for wedges only because of this

Funny that they seem to have got the shape wrong up to now.
How so Paul?
