What is happening in Ukraine is on scope and scale which NATO was not even able to imagine and has no answer to it. Chalanger tanks in working order :) Ridicul*us NATO is a paper tiger. Nato spent 2O years learning how to fight Afghan wedding parties and Iraqi villagers, because that is pretty much what NATO was doing. NATO forgot how to do a large scale ground combat. NATO even has no means to do large scale combat. China is there for Russia, Russia is there for China.... Who is there for USA? United Kingdom with their 40(!) Chalenger tanks in working order ??? Or Germany? Germany is not only 100% out of ammo, but on the top of that Germany was even bombed by USA!!!!(Nord Stream) Ridicul*us NATO, unfortunately still able to make the mess around the globe !!! If the AFU can blitz towards the Kursk NPP and force it to suspend operations (either out of caution or occupation) Putin will have to send more troops. And if Ukraine can set up proper defensive positions in Kursk, then they can handle the meat waves.
Well, they can't . haha! They are being contained - and no, this is very far from being the "D-Day Event" you think it is: 😃😃 The plan by Ukra-NATO was to take the power plant already within the first week and move on from there, to demonstrate "how to run a Blitzkrieg offensive in Eastern Europe". One month in, the Ukris are nowhere close to reaching the NPP and in fact they are not reaching ANY of the immediate goals with this campaign neither strategic nor tactical. Kiev is sacrificing some of their best troops in large numbers for the sake of a short.term media stunt, and meanwhile left the door open for the Russians to continue taking over western Donbass at an accelerated pace. 😄 ´"Hard luck, ENGLISHMAN!" 🔥😁

As a Dutch/European, I am ashamed and frustrated by the fear politics of Biden and Scholz. I hear sounds around me that people are even turning away from the Americans and Germans. These sentiments will be even louder in Ukraine and many Eastern European countries. This will have negative consequences for the Americans and Germans in the future. After all, it is they who have abandoned freedom and democracy for their own fear, politics and selfishness for their own wallet.
You really think this war is about protecting and defending democracy. The war is about weakening Russia, why would they sacrifice their own wealth for the sake of Ukraine. The moment the threat extends to the Western elite finances and economics was the moment the war would end. On a broader strategic scale they know that Eastern Europe has nowhere else to go apart from remaining aligned to the US.

@@anneallen5207 There are none, and have been little if any. Despite what you hear from Ukrainian and Western media the majority of Russian's support Putin and the Russian Federation and it's military actions. Especially after what happened in 2014.
There is a reason why the US looses all the war it fights in and it's because of people like General Hodges. That is the same reason Ukraine is loosing this war, listening to American Generals.Putin himself states it clearly ,he didn't panic he let the Ukrainians stay there in Kursk because it was working to the advantage of the Russian army in Donbass but today the Russians began to push the Ukrainians out of Kursk and as usual the Ukrainians are being rolled back.
Gen Hodges insight about the contentious nature of the various military elements of the Russian army was spot on. But that level of intrigue was engineered by Putin to keep any opposition within the military at bay.
How do you know this is spot on? What evidence do you base this one? Putin’s popularity within the general public at the time of the last election was in the 80%+ range and it’s still in the 70s even after such a long SMO and with the Kursk incursion giving the Russians a bloody nose. One can only speculate that his popularity is probably somewhat similar within the military and even if it is lower, it’s hardly likely to be plumbing the depths of popularity polls like most western leaders are (30s & 40s.) Many other more credible commentators have offered that allowing Ukraine to sit in the Kursk region whilst they detract from their defense efforts in the East of Ukraine to sustain it is actually accelerating their ultimate demise. I’m afraid Hodges has scarcely been right about a single thing this this past 2 1/2 years.
These remarks remind me of how the Czar's Army was defeated by the Germans in WW I. The Czar had 2 generals that opposed each other, so they decided to attack the Germans separately. Incidentally the Russian system with two separate generals was intended to prevent any single Russian General from initiating a coup to replace the Czar. The German Army then defeated each separate Russian Army consecutively. After those defeats, the Army was done, and so was the Czar. The Russian Revolution then followed and Russia was out of the war. The Germans then moved their Army to the western front to confront France, England, and the other allies, but that front devolved into trench warfare with no winners. Putin appears to be in a similar position to the last Russian Czar. But Ukraine still has to defeat the Russian forces.
@@dmitryletov8138 The battle in question was the Battle of Tannenberg in 1914. Russia confronted Germany with two armies. The First Army commander was Paul von Rennenkampf. The Second Army was commanded by Alexander Samsonov. The German Army in the east was commanded by Hindenberg. Hindenberg was outnumbered by the combined Russian Armies, but he was attacked separately by each. Hindenberg defeated the Second Army first, and then turned to defeat the First Army. After that, Russia did not have any Army in the west to fight any more in WW I. The victory by Hindenberg was a significant boost for the Germans, and for a time they thought they could easily defeat the French in the west. But trench warfare in France ended that hope.
I don't think the delay had anything to do with rivalries in the Russian security sector. Ukraine was counting on the fact that Russia would abandon positions in Ukraine and redeploy to Kursk. Putin and his Generals saw through the ruse. Keep in mind that when Hitler and Napoleon invaded Russia it willingly traded land and space for time. We can see from the amount of land in Kursk Ukraine has lost in the last few days that the Russian patience is working.
Capturing 10 villages and 125 sqkm in one day is not small😂😂😂 As we speak the russians advancing from the west of the kursk area in high speed. Leaving a big unit ukris trapped behinde the lines😂😂😂 This general is a joke 😂😂😂
The resources of russia are big but not more than any major European country, like Germany, France, Italy or UK. Russia's economy is the size of the Nordic countries. Yes russia had a lot of old Soviet army stockpile but 80% of that is gone now and more than two years of sanctions, a weak Ruble and no foreign investments means the only reason russia is still fighting is that all and every resource is directed at the war. This is not sustainable.
80% is gone now??? says who? Before the SMO Russia had 12,000 MLRS LAUNCHERS in stock! How many rockets do you think they had for them? When the MSM claimed Russia was running out of missiles in 2022, military analysts estimated that Russia only had 12m left!

Hard to believe that this conflict has been going for almost 30 months now. The Pacific War between the United States, and the Empire of Japan lasted for 44 months. Russia has been on the brink of collapse for about 28 of those months - I certainly hope is it coming true now.

(Odesa).
The more important question, is what is Ukraine gaining from going to south of Kursk, with lots of open, vacant space,,, as opposed to the decade-long consolidated lines in the Donbass falling at the same time? Is it lessening the pressure in the Donbass? Are the Ukrainians actually getting anything in Kursk? ,,, the Russians don't need to eject the Ukrainians, they can just keep hammering their unfortified positions.. Foolish escapade imo
@@CarlMartin-hw3ev The questions pretty much answered themselves from my pov. What is that you know, that invalidates the rather obvious logic posed? What does the Ukrainians get with Kursk compared to what they're loosing in the Donbass? There's also an increasing amount of fighting being reported along the Zaporozhia line,, not likely to be a Russian offensive, but the increased probing typically precedes one. What good is it going to do the Ukrainians to be bogged down south of Kursk? You got some answers, or just going to pretend you know something?
Ukraine goes on defensive where Russia is strong and Russia advances on a carpet of bodies, Ukraine attacks where Russia is weak and takes large swaths of territory for relatively few casualties. Yeah that seems pretty foolish of the Ukrainians....not.

Why Russia Can't Stop Ukraine's Kursk Offensive: Yeah, the Soviets managed to stop the all-powerful Wehrmacht. After the war, it was found out that the German army could have won the Kursk battle if only fuel supplies could have reached the warfront. What does Ukraine have now? Nothing.
Russia is having trouble retaking the Kursk area because they never have a backup plan and they don't move and attack well in a real war. Also, they over committed all of their available troops to the Donbass, Donetsk, and Crimea regions. You were impressed with Russia's ability to move a lot of stuff real far real fast? They didn't refuel their tanks at the border so they ran out of fuel half way to Kyiv. And they sent vehicles down from Belarus in haphazard formation, a tank, a medical unit, some trucks, an air defense unit, another tank, a few trucks, some armored vehicles. Also they clogged the roads so when Ukraine dropped the bridges the Russians could not get across and could not move bridge building equipment.
THE SHIFTING OF POWER IN THE MODERN WORLD There was a time the center of social power was in the periphery of societies since the dominant mode of production was agrarian. With the development of commerce and industry, rural power shifted to the cities and now cities with the industry and commerce have assumed primary importance in decision making power. Reason for this note sprung up from some recent developments in Ukraine and more specifically the raid and capture by Ukraine of a Russian enclave, Kursk, and holding on to it presumably as a jewel to be traded with the captured cities by the Russians in the event peace negotiations break out. This strategy by the Ukrainians is in fact erroneous for the swap is dissimilar and no exchange can take place. Like in the exchange of commodities. For two commodities to exchange it’s necessary that the commodities must have equal or equivalent “use values”,else no exchange is possible. And the question is what use value, in terms of power, Kursk has with its barren land, forests, or even agricultural land? Not much or nothing at all. On the contrary, the big cities the Russians are after, have all the modern bells and whistles amenities , etc. that modern men need and crave for. Hence urban life is much preferred than the mundane life of rural life. That is why the “Kursk victory” the West and Ukraine are cheering about is a Pyrrhic Victory that rings hollow in the scheme of things.

General Ben Hodges is always insightful.
What is happening in Ukraine is on scope and scale which NATO was not even able to imagine and has no answer to it. NATO has almost no ammo left, no artillerry , no tanks, no missilles to stand up Russia. Imagine, U. K. , or some people in U.K. want to fight Russia directly while only having 40(!) Chalanger tanks in working order :) Ridicul*us NATO is a paper tiger. Pay attention to the Houthis: If USA can not stop the Houthis, at what magical world are they living, that they believe they can fight Russia or China ? If the AFU can blitz towards the Kursk NPP and force it to suspend operations (either out of caution or occupation) Putin will have to send more troops. And if Ukraine can set up proper defensive positions in Kursk, then they can handle the meat waves.
Well, they can't . haha! They are being contained - and no, this is very far from being the "D-Day Event" you think it is: 😃😃
The plan by Ukra-NATO was to take the power plant already within the first week and move on from there, to demonstrate "how to run a Blitzkrieg offensive in Eastern Europe". 😄

To most Western experts, attritional strategy is counterintuitive.
Embarrassed American...checking in. - Here
You really think this war is about protecting and defending democracy.

Maybe the Kursk territory is a way Russia keeps those Ukrainian troops from going to the East, in some sort bizarre thinking.

Gen Hodges insight about the contentious nature of the various military elements of the Russian army was spot on.
But that level of intrigue was engineered by Putin to keep any opposition within the military at bay.
Не мечтай
How do you know this is spot on? What evidence do you base this one? Putin’s popularity within the general public at the time of the last election was in the 80%+ range and it’s still in the 70s even after such a long SMO and with the Kursk incursion giving the Russians a bloody nose. One can only speculate that his popularity is probably somewhat similar within the military and even if it is lower, it’s hardly likely to be plumbing the depths of popularity polls like most western leaders are (30s & 40s.)
Many other more credible commentators have offered that allowing Ukraine to sit in the Kursk region whilst they detract from their defense efforts in the East of Ukraine to sustain it is actually accelerating their ultimate demise.

Bla bla bla. Can you name these yours imaginable generals?

Nothing.
I call for the immediate dismissal of Vladimir V Putin. Good Russian depose Putin. Fools defend . It's getting late.

THE SHIFTING OF POWER IN THE MODERN WORLD
There was a time the center of social power was in the periphery of societies since the dominant mode of production was agrarian.
