    It was encouraging to see some businesses have been able to reopen on St Pete Beach, but many still have a long road ahead. We hope you consider coming back out to SPB to support the community as it recovers. If there are other islands or beach towns youd like to see in the future, let us know in the comments. Thanks for watching.

    Lots of emotions watching this. Thank you for sharing and supporting the area.

      That is understandable. Being out there, some areas are full of life and energy, almost feels like it was before the storms, but other areas are so devastated :( we hope that eventually everyone can clean up, rebuild/recover.

    Thank you for doing a video on St. Pete Beach. I still get very sad seeing it not fully recovered. I hope the people and businesses in that area will recover fully.

      We definitely understand, while it is great to see the areas and businesses that have been able to clean up and re-open, it is still very sad to see the areas that have not :(

    Thanks for this video ,it's so sad to see all the damage ,but encouraging for all the businesses that have reopened.I was very surprised at the damage to Bongos beach bar and the Bellwether still being closed.Love your channel ❤

      Hopefully more businesses will be able to reopen in the following weeks. It was obvious that many have been working very hard to clean up and reopen. Unfortunately that was not the case for many places 😞

    Thank you for the update. It is sad to see the damadge. It is so good to see everything slowly recovering. I would love to see more beach town updates. Thanks again

      As the weeks continue, more should be cleaned up and back open. Thanks for the feedback, we've got a list of beach towns to consider when we get out again.

    Thank you for sharing. Glad to see some of the businesses have been able to reopen. Progress being made. We would love to see the Treasure island beach. That’s where we stay when we come to Florida. Thank you. Always enjoy your videos.

    Thanks for the update. Heartbreaking to think what all those communities are going through to recover. Don't hear it on the news here in Kansas. Would like to see an update on Pass-a-Grille. I like that end of the beach as it is generally less busy. Awesome videos!

    • @JamieandSkylar

      It seems the main stream media has moved on 😞 we will keep Pass-a-grille on our list, we know a lot of others are interested in that area. Last time we were there a handful of businesses had reopened but the piles of sand were huge. We could not even drive all the way to the end because of all of the sand.

    Thank you- I’ve been waiting for this. I grew up on St Pete Beach and have been so sad about the destruction of my old stompin grounds. Have gotten updates and videos from friends but not recently. My heart breaks for all affected everywhere.🙏 And yes, please do make a video starting where you left off!!🙏

    • @JamieandSkylar
      @JamieandSkylar  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yea many areas are still devastated 😞 we are thankful some have been able to recover so quickly, but it was eye opening to see all of the areas full of debris still. The area will bounce back, it will just take time and a lot of hard work.

    Enjoy your video’s, thanks for sharing. My wife and I are “old timers “, from Lakeland and vacation for several years at Madeira Beach. We visit many of the areas that you show on your videos. Please do a video on the Pass a grille area including Merry’s Pier. I still stop there to do a little fishing. 👍

    Pretty even mix of places I’ve been both destroyed and recovering. Love the new bike. Mine folds but not quite small enough to stand up in the car. I’m sure loading and unloading is much easier.

    • @JamieandSkylar
      @JamieandSkylar  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yea we hope next time we are out there many more are back open.
      As far as the ebikes we love that both can stand up, side by side, in the back of our vehicle, so easy to transport. My new one (Ranger S) is a bit heavier than Skylar's Mars...so he gets a workout when loading and unloading 😁

    I have been missing going to the outdoor markets! It just makes me sick to see the damage! OMG ! This is the most close up I have seen of this area... my heart breaks for all of those affected. Most of those places are just a shell of what they once were ! So sad !

      It was very sad to see, especially our favorite places that will never be the same 😞 honestly we not expecting the market to be back so quickly, that did lift our spirits at least.

    Thank you so much for this one. It’s important work you’re doing. While it is hard to look at I think it is important to see.
    It is of course good to see what progress is being made, but now that the conditions in FL are out of the mainstream media it’s too easy to think it’s all done and over with.
    I hope you’ll have a look at St. Armand’s and Lido.

    • @JamieandSkylar
      @JamieandSkylar  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It is hard to see, there has been progress, but still a long road for many. We would like to get back out to Lido, last time we were there nothing had reopened but we've heard a few places are back up and running.

    Could you do something on Bradenton? I only took a cursory look at it when passing through but it could be a future landing spot for me. Plus, it's reasonable distance from SPB.
