I know this is kind of a lot to ask for: but if you could ever do this and record the values on the SSL that you used ( a picture would suffice perfectly) - and provide a dry signal as well. I have about 100 chanel strips id be more than happy to put them to the test and share the results
SSL is a beast. Plugins are like kids wearing the beast mask. Except for IK which (strangely) has lost only a small part of the harmonics. Its like the little brother of the beast. Very nice for a plugin.
Brainworx and Softube seem to nail the sound pretty spot on. Waves CLA Mixhub was close but lacked the bottom end punch, but nailed the highs pretty accurately. Waves E and G sound nothing like the real ones, completely different, drastically different.
Waves has the character but lacks power (specially low end) the new cla emulation sounds clearer but lacks the bottom power also, UAD sounds more detailed than waves but lacks power and the glue that waves has, IK sounds good however lacks even more glue than uad and sounds more cold, softube sounds better in the low end and has an analog feel and has that stereo image analog gives, bx sounds like UAD for me. Personally I prefer waves, Thanks for an amazing video

I thought the waves sounded much darker and flatter
