Set Up and Functionality Update of my 2020 A5 Hobonichi Cousin Avec Planner + Weekly Spread Set Up

- Today I am setting up my weekly spread in my 2020 A5 Hobonichi Cousin Avec planner! I am not used to having all this space on the daily so I am playing around with a bunch of different stickers, stamps and markers to see what sticks and what I find helpful to start out 2020. I'm so glad you like the huge paper clip I sent! I've given up doing a bujo... it's not working for me. I ordered an A5 Papier planner last year and it's so beautiful I didn't want to use it. It has blank spaces for the dates and year so it can be used anytime. Today I filled it all out with a Frixon eraserable pen so I can potentially use it every year... Genius! 😎

I love how you’re using this. I keep my bujo pretty functional too. I usually go back and add in washi or stickers if there’s a blank spot. I’m so happy I figured out how to print stickers with my laser printer. I was trying to go back and forth between my inkjet and laser printer because I had inkjet label sheets, but after I figured out my laser printer I haven’t gone back. I think I’ll just give those inkjet labels away and stock up on laser printer labels.
We just got a laser printer but I know nothing about printing stickers! Is there a tutorial somewhere? Do you just buy printable stickers? Is that a thing?
EmiLou. Arts I started out with just emoticons from my iPad keyboard. First I find the labels template on the website, if they’re Avery labels then you just search the code on the package. Then I open it in Pages (word) and fill in the template boxes however I like. Printing is an experiment. I wasted 4 of my label sheets figuring out the settings. Its different from printer to printer. My printer didn’t even have a tutorial, I had to wing it.
EmiLou. Arts otherwise, I think some Etsy shops sell printable sheets, but I find graphics and icons on freepik.com they have lots of free images to use as long as you credit the artist. For some of those you need a graphics app, like adobe illustrator. I have also downloaded some of the phomemo images and printed them.
This is my instagram, my results after 5 or 6 attempts to get the settings right. Not gonna lie, it can be frustrating until you get it figured out. But then the sky’s the limit.

Love your videos. Just got my first Cousin and am loving it. I just cant find cute kits I like. Could you tell me what is the best size kits for a A5 cousin Avec from both Shine Stickers Studio and Sweet Kawaii Design for both the monthly and weekly pages. I saw on of your videos I thought you had used a Shine Stickers Studio kit for the weekly B6 size. And this one I thought you had said you had used a Pocket size. I am having a hard time finding kits that I like. I love all the cute characters that both Shine Stickers and Sweet Kawaii has but not sure what size to get since they don't sell A5 kits. Thank you for your help.
That’s awesome Heidi! I love the pocket size and B6 size from shine sticker studio, I don’t think she is actively making more pocket kits anymore, but I’m not sure. I do have to trim here and there on both of them, but I don’t mind that. As far as monthlies, I used just a few sheets from her EC size monthly kits. I definitely trim those up. If you watch my monthly deco videos you can see more. I’m a lot less familiar with Sweet Kawaii Design, but I think I bought a mini kit once and then I just used the unicorn day dream that I was sent and it was mini. I think. I haven’t found any perfect sized ones for the A5 cousin yet that I absolutely love, so I just make do with the sizes they have from my favorite shops. Is it totally geeky that I cheered when I spotted my name in your to do list? I even made hubby abandon his game to come around to my laptop to see my name... yeah, totally geeky. I love your pages with all the stickers and so so understand the unworthyness of pretty stickers on home printed pages. I went as far as peeling them up off the inserts and sticking them down somewhere else, with a glue stick if I had to... so yeah, the insanity is real ya'll. x Marieke

Yep Mary I have two Cousins. One is my planner and one is my journal. The monthly sticker kits in my planner are from Shine Sticker Studio. They were the Erin Condren monthly kits, but I didn’t purchase the whole kit. Just the page with the top washi/name of month and the sheet with the decorative boxes! It’s perfect! I found them under the clearance tab on the website!
Where do we find sticker paper books?
The little animal one was sent to me, but I did just see one at Michaels that was from Once More with Love. I know that Shine Sticker Studio was selling the sticker storage books at one point too!

I don’t actually, I found one on TH-cam about a year ago. I think there are a ton!
How did u take off the binder clips ? My journal is a lil bigger then a A5 n I can’t find a cover for it . I been goin crazy looking for one . N Idnt wanna spend $40 on a custom one on Etsy . 😩😩
I can’t remember but I think I got the general idea from a TH-cam tutorial that I watched last year. It was something like ‘taking the rings out of a recollections ring planner’ try looking for that. Otherwise I think there are probably tons of other videos on it too. I didn’t do the best job this time I kind of abused it🙈
