They played American guitars already. The best guitars were American Fender, Gibson, Rickenbacker, and Gretsch. All American companies made in America. Unfortunately, they are now mostly made overseas.
The Hollywood Palace TV Show in 1964 was th first time I ever saw the Rolling Stones. One of the reasons I enjoyed them so much was because my parents really hated them . Sixty years later, they are still my favorite band, and remain the Greatest Rock And Roll Band ever!! RIP Brian & Charlie. Great to see Brian blowing the harp like so many of his blues idols.
I like how at the end, Dino goes-'Hey, you wouldn't leave me alone with a Rolling Stone, would you?' About thirty years later, my now late older brother, while spending the night together with Keith Richards at his house, watched 'Goodfellas' with him.
My ex husband/bass player looked so much like Mick Jagger but more handsome. When just beginning to date @ age 21, strangers mentioned it all the time. Recently asked our daughter her thoughts “Kevin Bacon” was her reply, tis wild, can see a little bit of both now. Have loved them forever, Keith is my favorite member, he treats his woman right, he’s the ❤ of the band!! ❤
I read somewhere that Keith was upset with the comments that Dino made! Can you blame him for being upset? Sixty years after this show, the Stones are still performing.
It's amazing how tight they were in the early days ..... That changed post 67..... But then we wouldn't have had the greatest rock n roll band in the world (Mick T years) ❤
"...they're challenging the Beatles to a hair-pulling contest", says a man, snarkily, whose career would ultimately be eclipsed several times over by this band he mocked.
It was hood natured fun. The long hair thing was new and took a lot of ribbing. Dino was a class act and could do it all. The Stones are ,along with THE BEATLES, the best rock ever had.
I wasn't a Stones fan until the 70's I was born in '56. Seeing this old footage with them so young is really nice. Thanks!
A ja po 56' i tym bardziej jestem ich fanem. 😊
@@gregorylapointe4157oh you Rebel, you!! 😅😂😂
Had never seen this before, so great we got it on tape! Man, Jones could wail on a harp, couldn't he? So tight, these guys
Mick after the guitar malfunction: "We got one of your American guitars". 😂
Dobrze

Keith is so young and full of energy

Believe It or Not, Kids, this length of Mick's hair was considered absolutely scandalous in 1964.😎🌠🌌
And we women, 🥰 Loved It!!! 😂
Still Do!! Wish long hair & a little sideburns would come back into style. ❤
@@KittyGrizGriz można zapuszczać, demo kreacja 😅
Indeed ,unlike the Beatles' moptops , the Stones looked medieval .
They were perfect , besides the looks ,making the most convincing R & B.
These five singing boys from England are pretty good. They may have a future playing music for a few years.
GREAT
Deano was so cool and talented and funny as hell. I always preferred The Stones when they played straight blues.
At least they were playing live! Most of the times Hollywood Palace was lip syncs
Sixty years on and still going…
Does anyone else think the clangy, very rude guitar sounds of mid-60s Brit Invasion/garage rock sounds hundreds of times more badass than heavy metal?
Who cares ?
I do actually .I saw this on TV when I was 13 in 1964 .
2:23 Mick and Brian laughing at the start of Take 2, lol.
A kiedy się nie śmieją?
Wow cool
4:53 Brian's eyes were very expressive when he played. :D
"I was rolled myself when I was stoned "..... 1:25👈🏻
I’ve had that before! The high E string got caught under a fret higher up the neck lol
They all are very young
Do you have also a Performance of 1963 ?, please more Rollingstones, Beatles and The Hollies footage.
FANTASTICOS PIEDRAS an la rotura de cuerda, rebasando el minuto 2, saludos banda rockanrolera , desde Mexicali Mexico......

Odd that you think the greatest rock n roll band only lasted five years. More like 62 years.
The harmonica dude was co 5:40 ol😂They look like they are on something 😂little bit a dis little bit a dat😂
We know Dean, Vodka,Gin,Coke,Rum
barely 18 months from their first Marquee gig.
Dean's half in the bag here, lol, his trademark.
Challenging Beatles to a hair pulling contest was a good line
No it was not a good line! It was bloody insulting!!
@@larryshirley6478 it's meant to be that way because it's absolutely shameful these kids had hair like a girl.

Dean Martin was never hip.
Dean Martin represented the establishment who were very threatened at this point.
